| 2 | Imām Bukhāri had lost his sight in his days as a youth, and he visited many skilled doctors, but no treatment was of any success.
His mother was a pious woman and used to pray to Allāh vigorously for the return of her son's eyesight.
One night in her dream, she saw the Prophet Ibrāhim, who told her that Allāh had accepted her prayers because of her tears in front of Him and her sons sight would return.
In the morning, as Imām Bukhāri got up from his bed, glimmers of light reached out into his eyes, and his eyesight was fully restored.

| 3 | Repentance Of Liars
قَــالَ الشَّــيخُ العلّامــة صَالِــح بنُ فَوزان الــفَوزَان - حَــفظهُ الله - :
وأما الذي يقول : أستغفرُ الله، بلسانه، وهو مقيمٌ على المعاصي بأفعاله، فهو كذابٌ لا ينفعُهُ الاستغفارُ، قال الفضيل بن عياض - رحمه الله - : استغفارٌ بِلاَ إقلاعٍ توبةُ الكذابينَ
Sh. Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān: “As for him saying ‘Astaghfirullāh’ with his tongue but persisting upon sins/disobedience with his actions, then he is a liar (and) his Istighfār will not benefit him, as Fuḍayl b. ‘Iyāḍ said: 'Seeking Allāh’s Forgiveness while not abandoning (sins) is the repentance of liars’.”

قال الإمام أحمد بن حنبل : الدنيا دار عمل والآخرة دار جزاء

Imām Aḥmad Raḥimahullāh: “The world is the place of action and the Ākhirah is the place of reward/punishment, so whoever doesn not act in here, will regret there.”

| 10 | Punishments Of A Sinner
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: The punishments of a sinner are as follows;
• Being deprived of Islamic knowledge (‘Ilm)
• Feeling of alienation in the heart
• Physical weakness
• Being unable to do acts of worship
• Being deprived of blessings
• Turning away from Allāh
• Anxiety
• Getting comfortable with sins
• The sinner becomes insignificant in the sight of Allāh
• The sinner becomes insignificant in the sight of people
• The curse of the animals will be upon him
• The sinner will bear marks of humiliation
• His heart will be sealed and he will come under the curse (of Allāh)
• The sinner’s Du’ā is not answered
• Loss of Gheerah (protective jealousy)
• Loss of modesty (Ḥayā)
• The blessings of Allāh disappear
• Punishment will befall him
• Fear in the heart of the sinner
• Falling into the traps of Shayṭān
• A bad end in worldly life (Dunyā)
• Torment in grave
• Punishment in the Hereafter

| 11 | Punishment Of Sins
قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله : والله سبحانه جعل مما يعاقب به الناس على الذنوب: سلب الهدى والعلم النافع.

قال الشيخ العلاّمة العثيمين : إصابة السنة أفضل من كثرة العمل ولذا قال ﷻ : ﴿ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا﴾ ولم يقل أكثر عملا.
Sh. Ibn al-‘Uthaymīn Raḥimahullāh: “Achieving Sunnah (acts) is better than abundance of deeds (upon something other than the Sunnah) hence Allāh said: ’.. that He may test you which of you is BEST in deed.’ • [al-Qur’ān 67:2] and DID NOT say (which one of you) has ABUNDANCE of deed.”

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : طوبى لمن وجد فى صحيفته استغفارا كثيرا.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Glad tidings for the one who finds much (seeking of) forgiveness in his record (book of deeds).”

| 16 | What Is Thunder?
On the authority of Ibn ‘Abbās رضي الله عنهما who said: “Jews came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and said: ‘Tell us what thunder is?’, he ﷺ replied: ‘It is an angel from Allāh’s angels that is set over the clouds and in whose hands is a Mikhraaq (1) by which he drives clouds away, directing them where Allāh commands him’. They (the Jews) said: 'And what is the sound (of thunder) that we hear?’, he ﷺ said: 'It is the sound of his (angel) voice’, they said: 'You have spoken rightly’.”

قال الفضيل بن عياض رحمه الله : والله ما يحلُّ لك أن تؤذي كلبا ولا خنزيرا بغير حق ، فكيف تؤذي مسلما؟!
Fuḍayl b. ‘Iyāḍ Raḥimahullāh: “Wallāh (by Allāh) it is NOT permissible for you that you harm a dog or a pig without due right so how can you harm a Muslim?!”

| 19 | May You All Be Honeyed By Allāh!
عسلكم الله جميعاً
قال رسول اللهﷺ : إذا أحب اللّه عبداً عسله ، قالوا : ما عسله؟ قال : يفتح الله عز وجل له عملاً صالحاً قبل موته ثم يقبضه عليه.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “If Allāh loves a person, he is honeyed by Him, they asked: ‘What is honeying him (means)?’, he said: “Allāh opens for him (the door of) a righteous deed before his death, then keeps him firm on it (until his death).”

قال العلامة الألباني رحمه الله : وأمارة هذا التعسيل بأن يرضى عنه من حوله لما ثبت في زيادة مرفوعة للنبي صلى اللّه عليه وسلم : (.. حتى يرضى عنه من حوله) ، يقال بأن الشيخ الألباني رحمه الله يدعوا لمن صنع إليه معروفا بقوله: ( عسّلك الله ).
al-'Allāmah al-Albāni Raḥimahullāh said: “And the sign of this honeying is that everyone around him become pleased with him as is proven in addition from Prophet ﷺ saying in Marfū’ form: ’.. until (everyone) from around him are pleased with him.’

It is said that Sh. al-Albānī (Allāh have mercy upon him) used to supplicate for the one who did a favor to him by saying: 'May you be honeyed by Allāh’.”

| 20 | Shooting Star And Baseless Beliefs
• Do not follow the shooting star with your gaze:
Ibn Sīreen Raḥimahullāh narrated: “Abū Qatādah al-Anṣārī (رضي الله عنه) came down upon us when a star fell so we followed (the shooting star) with our gaze, and we were forbidden to do that (by him رضي الله عنه).”

• Do not wish upon the falling star:
Ibn Mufliḥ رحمه الله said: “And as for the actions of disbelievers and from resembling them is when one closes his eyes upon the shooting of star and makes a wish in his heart, this is baseless rather it is Kufr (disbelief) for that (action) originates from the belief that the existence of stars affects the Qadr (decree) of a person and that the star holds the knowledge of what is in the heart of the one wishing upon it so reflect for this (belief upon stars) is heresy..” (abridged)
