Ibn al-Qayyim Raḥimahullāh: “The deputies of devil on earth are those who discourage people from seeking knowledge and understanding of religion, And they are MORE HARMFUL than Jinn devils as they're an obstruction between the hearts (of men) and guidance of Allāh and His Path.” ● [مفتاح دار السعادة ١/١٦٠]

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim Raḥimahullāh said: “A person does not stop committing a sin until it becomes easy upon him and it becomes insignificant in his heart, And THAT is a SIGN OF DESTRUCTION.” ● [الداء والدواء ١٤٤]

In his musannaf, ibn Abi Shaybah reported the following statement from the tabi'ee al-Rabee'ah ibn Khuthaym: When al-Rabee'ah would wake up in the morning, he would say: Do good, say good, and be consistent on righteousness. If you sin, repent, and if you do good then do more. Whatever you learn, practice it. Whatever causes you to doubt, trust that the truth is with Allah. Do not harm a believer, and do not meet the ignorant person's ill behavior with ill behavior of your own. Do not allow yourselves to become so preoccupied that your hearts become hard.  [وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ] "And do not be like those who say, 'We heard' but they do not hear." [al-Anfal ayah 21] [Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah 8/302]

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “Whoever enters [the Masjid] whilst the Imām is giving the khutbah, then he should not greet [anyone].” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/200] *Adab During the Khutbah* Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “It is not permissible for him (i.e. the one who is sitting and listening during the khutbah) to fidget with his hand, foot, beard, clothing or other than that.” “Likewise, he should not turn right or left and become busy with looking at the people. Rather, he should turn to the khateeb just like the Ṣaḥābah رضي الله عنهم used to turn towards the Prophet ﷺ during the khutbah.” “If he sneezes then he should praise Allāh secretly (i.e. quietly) between himself and his Lord.” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/200] Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “It is permissible to speak before and after the khutbah, and when the Imām sits between the khutbatayn for a legal benefit. However, one should not speak about worldly affairs.” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/201] Prophet ﷺ said: “If one of you yawns on Friday (during the Khutbah), let him change from the place he’s sitting to another.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Khuzaymah 1819] Al-Sharīd b. Suwaid reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me sitting with my left hand behind my back and leaning on it. He ﷺ said: “Are you sitting in the manner of those with whom Allah is angry (the Jews)?” [Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4848, Musnad Aḥmad 18960, Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 5674] Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: “This ḥadīth indicates that it is not allowed to sit in this manner, for the reason that it is the way in which those who are punished sit.” [Iqtida’ al-Ṣirāt al-Mustaqīm, p. 65]

So whoever comes to Friday (prayer), then let him bathe himself, and if he has any perfume let him put some on, and use the toothstick.” ● [Ibn Mājah 1098, Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb 1/298] Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “The Friday prayer is from the greatest of congregations of the Muslims.” ● [Zād al-Maʿād 1/364–365] *Sending Salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ* The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Increase in salutations upon me, on the day of Friday (Jumuʿah) and its night.” ● [Zād al-Maʿād 2/420] The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Send prayer upon me abundantly on the day of Jumu’ah (Friday) & on the night of Jumu’ah (Thursday night), for he who sends prayer upon me one time, Allāh sends prayer upon him 10 times.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ 1209] *Virtue of Ṣalāh on Jumuʿah* The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of prayers with Allāh is the prayer of morning (Fajr) on the Day of Friday in congregation.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥah 1566] The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, and bathes completely, and goes early, arriving early, gets close and listens and is silent, there will be for him in every step he takes, the reward of a year of fasting and standing (in prayer).” ● [Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī 496] *Recitation of Sūrah al-Kahf* The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays will be adorned with light from that Friday to the next.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥ Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr 2/6470] The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday will have a light for him between this Friday and the next.” ● [al-Sunan al-Kubrā 5856] *Duʿā on Jumuʿah* The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is such an hour on Friday, that if any Muslim makes Du’ā during it, his Du’ā will be accepted.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 935, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 852] Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “A time when Du’ās will be accepted is during the last hour of ‘Asr on Jumu’ah.” ● [Zād al-Maʿād 1/104] Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله also said: “The Hour of Response in it (i.e. Friday) is like the Night of Decree in Ramaḍān.” ● [Zād al-Maʿād 1/398] *Expiation of Sins* The Prophet ﷺ said: “Jumʿah to Jumʿah expiates the minor sins in between them except for the major sins.” ● [al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥah 3623] The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of days with Allāh is the day of Jumu'ah.” ● [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ 1098, al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥah 1502] Ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said: “The leader of all days is Friday and the leader of all months is Ramaḍān.” ● [Ibn Abī Shaybah in al-Muṣannaf 5552] *Etiquette of Jumuʿah Khutbah & Masjid Manners* Listening and Silence During the Khutbah Saʿīd ibn Jubayr رحمه الله said: “That I hit whips on my head, it is more beloved to me than me talking whilst the Imām is giving a sermon.” ● [Ṭabaqāt Ibn Saʿd 6/260] Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said: “It is not legislated to return the salām during the khuṭbah. Rather you must remain silent.” ● [Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā 12/339] Sh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said: “It is impermissible for a man to give salām during Friday sermon and also it is ḥarām to return salām.” ● [Fatāwā 16/100] Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “From the rulings of Jumuʿah prayer is that it is not permissible to speak whilst the Imām is giving the khutbah.” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/198] *Entering the Masjid on Jumuʿah* Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “It is recommended to leave early to go to the Masjid on the day of Jumu’ah and when one enters pray two units of prayer for Taḥiyyat al-Masjid.” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/196] Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: “It is more right for the one who comes on Jumu’ah that he busy himself with prayer up until the Imām comes out [to give the khutbah]...” ● [Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā 24/189] Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله said: “From the rulings of Jumuʿah is that whoever comes to the Masjid whilst the Imām is giving the khutbah, he should not sit until he has prayed two light units of prayer.” ● [al-Mulakhkhaṣ al-Fiqhī 1/198]

Speak With What You Intend Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said: ❝It is not allowed to justify your mistakes of the tongue with the correctness of the heart, the heart does not justify the tongue. It is upon us that when we speak that our speech conforms to our good intent. It should not be that our speech is evil and our intent is good, but rather, our words and speech should conform to what is in the heart.❞ [Fatawa Jeddah Tape, (No. 33)]

Allaah Troubles His Worshippers Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said: ❝From the Mercy of Allaah Ta’ala with His worshippers is that He troubles them with the Dunya and its worries and annoyance so that they do not become relaxed with it, and do not become tranquil with the Dunya, but in fact,  they should desire for the eternal bliss in Allaah's land of Paradise and next to Him. Allaah leads them to it with the whip of trials and tests. He prevents them from the Dunya so He can give them the reward in the Hereafter. He trials them so that he can give them relief, He causes them to die to resurrect them.❞ [Ighathata Al-Lahafaan, (2/175)]

Reading The Qur’aan At The Graveyard Shaykh Muhammad Al-Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said: ❝As for the graveyards then they are not a place for reading of the Qur’aan, but rather they are a place for giving Salam upon the dead and making Dua for them, not a place for making Dua, nor to make Dua to them. So the deceased are not to be made Dua to, nor to make [general] Dua at their graveside. But rather Dua is made for them for mercy and forgiveness because they are in dire need of Dua.❞ [Fatawa Noor Ala Darb Tape, (No. 30) | Section of Aqeedah/Bida]

Reasons For Limiting To Only One Wife Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Al-Uthaymeen [D.1421 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said: ❝Some of the people of knowledge held the opinion that it is better to limit one self to one wife, the reasons they give are: 1 - That it is safer for a husband's responsibility for his wife rather than oppressing his other wives. This is because if a man marries two women or more, then perhaps he may not be able to do justice between them. 2- Also because, limiting one self to one wife is closer to preventing the family from becoming scattered. This is because if he has more than one wife, the family can become scattered, since he will have children from one woman and also children from the other woman. Also perhaps there may occur conflict and disunity between the children due to a conflict and disagreement between their mothers, as has been witnessed. 3- Likewise, having just one wife is closer to being able to fulfil the obligation of spending upon her and other matters. 4- It is also easier for a man to take into account justice. Indeed having a consideration for justice is a great matter,  which requires help and aid. So due to that, we say, limiting to one wife is safer for that person. However if a person sees in himself that one wife is not sufficient and does not keep him chaste, then indeed we would order him to marry a second, third and fourth wife until he can achieve tranquillity, and keep away from looking at women and have ease for the soul.❞ [Sharh Zaad Al-Mustaqna, (12/13)]

Perfection In A Wife? Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Al-Uthaymeen [D.1421 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said: ❝Indeed many husbands want their wives to be perfect. This matter is not possible, so due to that husbands fall into worry and concern and are incapable of enjoyment and delight with their wives, and perhaps this could lead to divorce. Just like the Messenger [ﷺ] said: ‎«وإن ذهبت تقيمها كسرتها وكسرها طلاقها.» 'If you tried to straighten her you would break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.' Therefore, it is necessary for the husband to be easy going and overlook everything that a wife does as long as it does not contradict the Deen or nobility.❞ [Haqooq Da'at Ilayhi Al Fitra, (No. 22)]

🖋 Prophet's Duʿā Anas b. Mālik RaḍiAllāhu-ʿAnhu narrated that Prophet Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam would abundantly say: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ‏.‏ “O Allāh!! Household Chores Are From The Sunnah Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said: ❝When a person is at home then it is from the Sunnah, that for example he makes his own tea, cooks if he knows how to and washes up that which needs washing, all of this is from the Sunnah.   If you do this then you get the reward of following the Sunnah, with imitating the Messenger [ﷺ] and in humbling yourself for Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic. This also brings about love between you and your wife. When your family sense that you help them in their chores they will love you and your value to them will increase, therefore, this will end up being a great benefit.❞ [Sharh Riyadh As-Saliheen, (3/529)]

Be Careful Of Being Like This With Your Wife Ash-Shawkaani [رحمه الله] said: ❝Indeed those of the people who have the highest status in goodness and are the most rightful in being characterised with the truth are those who are the best of the people to their wives.   Indeed the wife and family are those who have the most right to joy and happiness, deserving of good manners and kindness, and bringing them benefit and repelling harm from them. When a man is like this then he is the best of the people and if he is the opposite of that, then he is at the other extreme of evil. There are many of the people who fall into this dilemma, so you see a man who when he meets his family he is the worst of the people in manners, the most miserly person and the least of the people with goodness. When he meets other than his family, non-relatives he becomes soft and timid, has delightful manners, and improves himself, and his goodness increases. There is no doubt that the person who is like this then he is prohibited from success, has deviated away from the correct path. We ask Allaah for security.❞ [Nail Awtaar, (8/121)]

The Best Of The People, He Is The Best Of Them To His Wife From Abu Hurairah [رضي الله عنه] that Prophet [ﷺ] said: «إن أكمل المؤمنين إيماناً أحسنهم خُلقاً، وخياركم خياركم لنسائكم.» ❝The most complete of the Believers in their Eemaan are those who have the best manners, and the best of you are those who are best to their women.❞ [collected By Tirmidhi | Ahmad | Sh. Al-Albani: 'Saheeh' In Silsilah Saheehah, (No. 284)] Shaykh Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said: ❝Regarding the saying of the Prophet [ﷺ]: ‘The best of you…’ This person is the best of the people, he is the best of them to his wife. So if you have any goodness, then make that goodness for the closest of the people to you, and make it so that your wife is the first to benefit from this good. And this is the opposite of what some people do today, you find that he has bad manners with his wife, and has good behavior with other people, and this is a great mistake. Your wife has the most right to good behavior, and having the best manners to them, because she is the one who is with you day and night, openly and secretly. If you are afflicted with something she is afflicted along with you, and if your happy, she is happy along with you, if your sad, she is sad along with you, therefore you should make your dealings with her better than your dealings with strangers, so the best of the people are those who are best of them to their wives. I ask Allaah to complete my Eemaan and that of the Muslims, and that he makes us the best of the slaves of Allaah to our wives and upon those who have a right upon us.❞ [Explanation of Riyadh As-Saliheen, (3/134)]

Observing Your Wife’s Beautiful Manners The Noble Scholar Ibn Sa’adi [رحمه الله] said ❝When a husband reflects over his wife’s beautiful manners and good qualities that he loves about her, and then compares these qualities to those reasons which causes him anger and irritation, perhaps there is some negativity he sees whilst living with her, but it could be that he is focussing on just one or two [negative] things, yet, in reality, those qualities that he loves in her are much greater. Therefore, if the husband was just, then he would overlook her bad points which actually disappear and vanish due to her goodness. In this way companionship continues. As for turning away from good qualities, and only observing shortcomings – even if they are very few – then this is from being unjust, and the husband can hardly be settled with his wife.❞ [Bahjat Al-Qaloob, (Page: 153-154)]

Tawheed Is The Key To Paradise Shamsuddeen Muhammad Bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim Aj-Jawzeeyah [D. 751 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said: ❝Since Shirk is the greatest of the three aspects to Allaah [عز و جل] then He has prohibited Paradise for the people of Shirk. So the Mushrik will not enter Paradise, rather only the people of Tawheed will enter it, because Tawheed is the key to its door. So whoever does not have with him a key then its door does not open and likewise if one comes with a key which has no teeth then the door will not open.❞ [Al-Wabbil As-Sayyib, (Page: 41)]

What To Do With The Money Taken From Riba' [Interest] Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said: ❝There are many questions regarding the taking of Riba' from banks and in relation to this there are two opinions from the scholars, and by this I mean the present day scholars. From amongst them, there are those who say that you should leave it in the bank, since it is Haraam [prohibited], and there is no difference of opinion that Riba' is Haraam [prohibited], however the difference of opinion is about leaving it in the bank or taking it out, so this is the first point. If it is said that you can take it, then it is asked, can you benefit from this Riba or not? The reply has only one answer, that is, he is prohibited from benefitting from the Riba. So what should he do at this point, here there is a difference of opinion, either he should leave it in the bank and this is harmful, and by doing this there is the evil of helping the banks directly by making them richer, thus this money should be withdrawn so the bank cannot benefit from it, nor the bank clerk who works for the bank, rather he should take it and spend it in general public utilities. It should not be used to benefit any specific Muslim, what I mean is that he should not take this Riba' and give it to a poor person or to poor people, rather he should spend it in general public utilities. I shall now elaborate with some examples, regarding leasing out this money, then this is not from the important general public Islaamic utilities, rather it is from the point of view of the Dunya and the increase in worldly gain, as Allaah has characterised the Non-Muslims. For they know the apparent life of this world, for example they plant trees and grass around graves and beautify them with greenery! Why? So that they do not remember death, so that they cannot see the graves, which would remind them of death. Anyway the general public utilities are for example, repairing a rugged pathway for crossing which might effect the riding beast or the people, so you can spend on this, or a place that needs a bridge which is used for crossing over a river, so a bridge can be built with that money, or a village needs a machine to pump up water, even if the water is used for the animals, so these are public utilities, and so on. I want to say that this money should not be spent on Masajid because it is obligatory to build the Masajid upon having Taqwa of Allaah and wealth which is Halaal, but I have said before that if you build toilets with this money, that is, you build toilets for the Masjid, then this is from the public utilities. As for the Masjid itself, which is used for prayer and for worship, then for this cause it is not permissible absolutely.❞ [Silsilaat Hudaa Wa Noor Tape, (No. 759)]
