Catholics IRL Chat

For Catholics (and frens) to talk. No heresy, no degeneracy, no blasphemy! No insulting Pope Francis. Debate with us on Sundays. Otherwise, you will be banned. Keep it on-topic. Politics can be annoying, especially when it is unrelated to the faith.

With chat discussing potential future saints etc. after the announcement of the first Millennial saint, I'd like to ask you all: What separates sinful unauthorized public veneration from private veneration? For example, if this channel posts a prayer meant to be said in private to ask TAD for intercession, is that an act of public veneration or an act intended to help you to engage in private veneration? Likewise, would sharing such prayers in a private group chat be a public act of veneration? In another example, this post's image could be an example: TAD is used here as an example of a potential future saint, who is not currently canonized and enjoys no official approved miracles verified by the clergy. I feel like if I asked a priest, he would simply ask if the purpose was to mislead readers into believing that TAD had been canonized. Are there any documents explaining Church treatment of lawful private veneration? Certainly the Church seems lenient, but more detail should be available.
