He was an Italian Capuchin brother. His original name was Felice Porri. He called himself the βAss of the Capuchins.β He slept for 2-3 hours and spent the rest of the night in prayer. On the streets of Rome, he assisted the sick and the poor. He was very devoted to Mary. He was called "friar Deo gratias" for his usual greeting. For forty years, he devoted himself to collecting alms and spreading peace and charity around him.
