He devised a way so he could stay "away from people." He placed a platform on top of a pillar and preached from there. Boys climbed the tower to give him bread and goat's milk. After being barred by villagers, they planted a cross on the ground not realizing that that was the site of a temple torn down by Christians. Enraged, the villagers slaughtered them. | 288 |
