Today’s proceedings before the Balochistan and Sindh High Courts marked important developments in the cases involving BYC leaders Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Shah Ji Sibghatullah.
At the Balochistan High Court, in the appeal against their life sentences, the Court directed that the record be submitted and paper books prepared. In the petition challenging the faceless trial, the Court directed the prosecution to submit its reply and adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court dismissed the Sindh Government’s appeal against Dr. Mahrang Baloch’s acquittal by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi in the case registered at Quaidabad Police Station.
These slow proceedings in the ongoing legal struggle for justice for BYC leaders, come at a heavy human cost. Every day of delay keeps our leaders behind bars and their families waiting for answers. BYC stands firm in its demand for justice, the protection of fundamental rights, and the immediate release of all detained BYC leaders.

15 اکتوبر کو ریاستی پشت پناہی میں سرگرم ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کی جانب سے فائرنگ کرکے تیل کے کاروبار سے وابستہ مزدوروں کو نشانہ بنانا انتہائی وہشت ناک عمل ہے۔ بلوچستان میں معاشی نسل کشی کا سلسلہ کئی سالوں سے جاری ہے- بلوچستان جہاں بلوچ عوام کے گزر بسر کا واحد ذریعہ سرحدی کاروبار سے وابستہ تھا، جسے بزورِ طاقت بند کر دیا گیا۔اور اب سمندری راستوں سے بھی کاروبار کو محدود کرنے کے لیے ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کو متحرک کرکے اس معاشی نسل کشی کو وسعت دی جارہی ہے۔
ریاستی پشت پناہی میں سرگرم ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کئی سالوں سے بلوچ عوام کو خوف و ہراس، تشدد اور عدم تحفظ کا شکار بنا رہے ہیں۔ گوادر سے لے کر کوہِ سلیمان تک مختلف علاقوں میں ایسے گروہوں کے ہاتھوں بلوچ نسل کشی کو توسیع دی جارہی ہیں۔ ان گروہوں کو ریاستی سرپرستی میں تشکیل دے کر بلوچ عوام کو دبانے اور ان کی سیاسی و معاشی زندگی کو مفلوج کرنے کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا رہا ہے۔
سرحدوں کے بندش کے بعد بلوچ عوام اپنے گزر بسر کے لیے سمندر کا رخ کر چکے ہیں ،وہاں بھی مزدوروں کو گولیوں کا نشانہ بنانا بلوچ عوام کے معاشی استحصال اور ریاستی جبر کو مزید شدت دینے کے مترادف ہے۔ بلوچ مزدوروں سے ان کے روزگار کے ذرائع چھیننا اور پھر انہیں گولیوں کا نشانہ بنانا بلوچ عوام کو نا صرف معاشی طور پر تباہ کرنے کی سازش ہے بلکہ اعلاناً بلوچ نسل کشی ہے۔
بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی اس واقعے کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتی ہے اور بین الاقوامی اداروں سے اپیل کرتی ہے کہ بلوچستان میں جاری ریاستی جبر، معاشی استحصال اور انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزیوں کے خلاف محض بیانات تک محدود رہنے کے بجائے اپنا عملی کردار ادا کریں، تاکہ بلوچ عوام کے بنیادی حقوق کا تحفظ یقینی بنایا جا سکے اور انسانی حقوق کے عالمی اداروں پر عوام کا اعتماد برقرار رہ سکے۔ | 205 |

October 16, 2026 — Pasni, Gwadar, Balochistan
The elderly father and family of Parvez Baloch staged a protest at Pasni Press Club, demanding justice for his extrajudicial killing by state-backed death squads.
Parvez Baloch, a teacher and son of Mazar Baloch, was forcibly disappeared from Main Bazar, Pasni, on October 13, 2026. The following day, his mutilated body was found dumped in Daroband, Pasni.
In Balochistan, the killing of Baloch and the suffering of their families are becoming a grim, recurring reality. Families are grieving and pleading for accountability while those responsible continue to evade justice.
How many more Baloch lives must be lost before the world listens to the cries of the Baloch people about the ongoing genocide? How many more families must suffer before these killings end and justice is served? Justice has disappeared within Pakistan’s system, but the world must listen, speak out, and demand answers from Pakistan for its atrocities in Balochistan.

Parvez Baloch, a teacher, son of Mazar Baloch, a resident of Pidrak, Kech, was forcibly disappeared by state backed death squad in the early hours of October 13, 2026, from Main Bazar, Pasni.
The following morning, on 14 October 2026, the death squad killed Parvez Baloch and dumped his mutilated body in the Daroband area of Pasni. The targeted killing of a teacher highlights the growing concerns over the safety of Baloch civilians and educators. It also reflects the broader issue of Baloch scholasticide, in which violence and intimidation threaten teachers, students, and the future of education in Balochistan.
The continued policy of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances of Baloch civilians, teachers, activists, and scholars highlights serious human rights violations and the use of force without due process. These abuses demand independent investigations, justice for victims, and an end to impunity.
No civilian or scholar should lose their life without justice, and no society can flourish when its people of knowledge live under fear.
