On the eve of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) will hold a protest in New York to raise its voice against the ongoing genocide, systematic repression, enforced disappearances, and grave human rights violations perpetrated by the Pakistani state against the #Baloch nation.

On the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) held a protest in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to draw international attention to the ongoing crisis of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and to express solidarity with the affected families.
The protest was also attended by Pashtun political activists, who expressed solidarity with the victims of enforced disappearances and their families. Demonstrators held photographs of forcibly disappeared persons and carried banners and placards demanding justice and calling for an immediate end to enforced disappearances.
Speakers at the gathering included Muheem Abdul Rahim, President of the BNM Netherlands Chapter; Abid Jan Qadir, Coordinator of the Party’s Media, IT and Cultural Department, Dr. Latif Baloch, Sanaullah Baloch and human rights activist Zar Khan. The speakers highlighted the profound and devastating impact of enforced disappearances on Baloch society.
The speakers said that hardly any Baloch family has remained untouched by the trauma of enforced disappearance. Across Balochistan, families have endured prolonged anguish and uncertainty following the abduction and disappearance of their loved ones. In many cases, families are given no information about the whereabouts, condition or fate of their relatives, deepening their suffering and leaving them in a state of unbearable uncertainty.
They said enforced disappearances have become one of the most visible manifestations of the ongoing human rights crisis in Balochistan. People from various sections of society—including political and social activists, students, teachers, journalists, lawyers, writers, human rights defenders and ordinary civilians—have been affected by this practice.
The speakers stated that Balochistan is the homeland of the Baloch nation and that the Baloch nation is struggling to secure its right to self-determination. They also appreciated the continued solidarity of the Pashtun nation with the Baloch struggle, saying that the Pashtun nation has consistently raised its voice against oppression, injustice and human rights violations and stood in solidarity with the Baloch nation.
The speakers further said that enforced disappearances constitute part of what they described as an ongoing process of genocide against the Baloch nation in Balochistan. The continued enforced disappearance of thousands of people, extrajudicial killings and other serious human rights violations have created an atmosphere of fear, insecurity and uncertainty across Balochistan.
The Baloch National Movement called for the immediate disclosure of the whereabouts, condition and fate of all forcibly disappeared persons to their families. عالمی یومِ متاثرینِ جبری گمشدگی کے موقع پر بلوچ نیشنل موومنٹ (بی این ایم) نے نیدرلینڈز کے شہر اُتریخت میں احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا۔ مظاہرے کا مقصد بلوچستان میں جاری جبری گمشدگیوں کے سنگین بحران کی جانب عالمی برادری کی توجہ مبذول کرانا اور متاثرہ خاندانوں کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کرنا تھا۔
مظاہرے میں پشتون سیاسی کارکنوں نے بھی شرکت کی اور جبری گمشدگیوں کے متاثرین اور ان کے خاندانوں کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا۔ مظاہرین نے جبری طور پر لاپتہ کیے گئے افراد کی تصاویر اٹھا رکھی تھیں، جبکہ بینرز اور پلے کارڈز کے ذریعے انصاف کا مطالبہ اور جبری گمشدگیوں کے فوری خاتمے پر زور دیا گیا۔
اجتماع سے بی این ایم نیدرلینڈز چیپٹر کے صدر مہیم عبدالرحیم، پارٹی کے میڈیا ، آئی ٹی اور کلچرل ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے رابطہ کار عابد جان قادر، ڈاکٹر لطیف بلوچ، ثناء اللہ بلوچ اور انسانی حقوق کے کارکن زر خان نے خطاب کیا۔ مقررین نے بلوچستان میں جبری گمشدگیوں کے بلوچ معاشرے پر پڑنے والے گہرے اور تباہ کن اثرات پر روشنی ڈالی۔
مقررین نے کہا کہ بلوچستان میں شاید ہی کوئی ایسا گھر ہو جو جبری گمشدگی کے المیے سے متاثر نہ ہوا ہو۔ بلوچستان بھر میں خاندان اپنے پیاروں کے اغوا اور جبری گمشدگی کے بعد طویل عرصے سے کرب اور بے یقینی میں زندگی گزار رہے ہیں۔ اکثر خاندانوں کو اپنے عزیزوں کے مقامِ موجودگی، حالت اور انجام کے بارے میں کوئی اطلاع فراہم نہیں کی جاتی، جس سے ان کی اذیت مزید بڑھ جاتی ہے۔
انھوں نے کہا کہ جبری گمشدگیاں بلوچستان میں جاری انسانی حقوق کے بحران کی ایک نمایاں علامت بن چکی ہیں۔ سیاسی و سماجی کارکنوں، طلبہ، اساتذہ، صحافیوں، وکلا، لکھاریوں، انسانی حقوق کے کارکنوں اور عام شہریوں سمیت معاشرے کے مختلف طبقات اس پالیسی سے متاثر ہو رہے ہیں۔
مقررین نے کہا کہ بلوچستان بلوچ قوم کا وطن ہے اور بلوچ قوم اپنے حقِ حاکمیت کے حصول کے لیے جدوجہد کر رہی ہے۔ انھوں نے اس جدوجہد کے ساتھ پشتون قوم کی مسلسل یکجہتی کو بھی سراہا اور کہا کہ پشتون قوم نے ظلم، ناانصافی اور انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں کے خلاف بلوچ قوم کی جدوجہد میں ہمیشہ آواز بلند کی ہے اور ان کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا ہے۔
مقررین نے مزید کہا کہ جبری گمشدگیاں بلوچستان میں بلوچ قوم کے خلاف جاری نسل کشی کے عمل کا ایک حصہ ہیں۔ ہزاروں افراد کی مسلسل جبری گمشدگی، ماورائے عدالت قتل اور انسانی حقوق کی دیگر سنگین خلاف ورزیوں نے بلوچستان بھر میں خوف، عدم تحفظ اور بے یقینی کی فضا پیدا کر دی ہے۔
بلوچ نیشنل موومنٹ نے مطالبہ کیا کہ تمام جبری طور پر لاپتہ افراد کے بارے میں ان کے خاندانوں کو فوری طور پر ان کے مقامِ موجودگی، حالت اور انجام سے آگاہ کیا جائے۔ جبری گمشدگیوں کا سلسلہ فوری طور پر بند کیا جائے، رپورٹ شدہ انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں کی آزادانہ اور شفاف تحقیقات کی جائیں اور ان کے ذمہ دار افراد کا احتساب یقینی بنایا جائے۔ | 75 |

| 9 | The martyrdom of Akbar Khan Bugti had a profound and direct impact on the younger generation in the modern #Baloch movement, inspiring many to become actively involved in the struggle. There is perhaps no other example in the modern history of #Balochistan where the martyrdom of a single leader so deeply influenced Baloch youth and drew them into resistance.
Today, we remember Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti as one of the most important and influential leaders of Balochistan and the modern Baloch movement.

| 10 | Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti: A Leader Who Chose Resistance Over Surrender
“We, the Baloch people, believe that the best way to die is to die fighting. We Baloch are the masters of our own destiny. And if that is taken away from us, then life doesn't really matter.”

Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti was one of the great leaders of Balochistan. Despite his background as a tribal leader, he earned a prominent place in Baloch national politics and emerged as one of the few leaders who clearly recognized that resistance had become essential to safeguarding the rights, land, resources, and future of the Baloch nation.
He understood that the development projects imposed by Pakistan in Balochistan were not merely economic initiatives. In his view, they threatened to dispossess the Baloch nation of their land and natural resources and to alter the demographic character of Balochistan, further advancing a process of national destruction. For this reason, he openly and unequivocally opposed the exploitative economic policies and projects pursued under the military rule of General Pervez Musharraf.
Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti also presented a political framework for protecting Baloch ownership over their land and natural resources, commonly known as the Bugti Dossier. His demands were political and centered on the rights, resources, and future of the Baloch nation.
In response to his peaceful political demands, the Pakistani state, under the military dictatorship of Pervez Musharraf, launched military attacks against him. Dera Bugti was placed under siege, and his residence and surrounding areas were subjected to heavy bombardment. He was ultimately forced to leave his home, but rather than abandon his homeland and surrender, Akbar Khan Bugti chose the path of resistance.
He took refuge in the mountains of Tratani, where Pakistan Army launched a major military attack against him. On 26 August 2006, Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti was killed in the attack.
His assassination became a defining moment in the modern history of the Baloch national liberation movement. His sacrifice deeply influenced a new generation of Baloch youth and strengthened the belief that the Baloch struggle for survival, dignity, and freedom could not be separated from resistance.
Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti will always be remembered as a courageous and historic leader of the Baloch national movement—a man who refused to surrender and chose resistance over submission.
On his martyrdom anniversary, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) pays its deepest tribute to Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti and honors his sacrifice for the #Baloch nation and #Balochistan.

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) held a march and protest in the German city of Göttingen against the Pakistan Air Force’s bombardment of civilian areas in Surab, Balochistan, and the ongoing state repression in the region. Demonstrators expressed solidarity with the victims and their families and called on the international community to take immediate notice of the situation, ensure an independent investigation, and hold those responsible accountable.
The protesters urged the European Union, the United Nations, and the international community to take immediate action in response to reports of civilian deaths and human rights violations in Balochistan. They called for an end to the silence surrounding the situation and demanded effective measures to protect civilians and prevent further violence.
Addressing the protest, BNM Germany President Asghar Baloch described the ongoing repression of civilians in Balochistan as part of a broader pattern of abuses that has continued for decades. He said that Pakistan’s actions in Balochistan reflect a colonial mindset rooted in the relationship between an occupying power and a subjugated people. He stated that Balochistan has faced persistent state repression for decades in the context of the Baloch struggle for freedom.
BNM Germany General Secretary Luqman Baloch said that recent airstrikes by the Pakistan Air Force in Surab and Kharan had killed more than 20 civilians, including women, children and elderly people. He said the ongoing media blackout in Balochistan was hindering the independent and transparent verification of reports of state violence.
Washma Baloch called on international institutions and human rights organisations to take effective action through international mechanisms to prevent further violence and ensure the protection of civilians.
Akbar Baloch highlighted the Surab tragedy and the issue of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, criticising what he described as systematic discrimination against the Baloch people. He said the Baloch nation continues its struggle for its fundamental rights and freedom, while accusing Pakistan of pursuing policies that amount to genocide against the Baloch nation in an attempt to suppress their struggle. | 142 |

مظاہرین نے یورپی یونین، اقوام متحدہ اور عالمی برادری پر زور دیا کہ بلوچستان میں شہری ہلاکتوں اور انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں سے متعلق رپورٹس کا فوری نوٹس لیا جائے اور اس صورتِ حال پر خاموشی ختم کرکے شہریوں کے تحفظ اور مزید تشدد کی روک تھام کے لیے مؤثر اقدامات کیے جائیں۔
مظاہرے سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے بی این ایم جرمنی کے صدر اصغر بلوچ نے بلوچستان میں شہریوں کے خلاف جاری جبر کو طویل عرصے سے جاری وسیع پیمانے کے مظالم کا تسلسل قرار دیا۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ قابض پاکستان کی جانب سے مقبوضہ بلوچستان میں کیے جانے والے اقدامات قابض اور محکوم کے درمیان موجود نوآبادیاتی ذہنیت کی عکاسی کرتے ہیں۔بلوچستان کئی دہائیوں سے بلوچ آزادی کی جدوجہد کے تناظر میں مسلسل ریاستی جبر کا سامنا کر رہا ہے۔
بی این ایم جرمنی کے جنرل سیکریٹری لقمان بلوچ نے کہا کہ سوراب اور خاران میں پاکستانی فوج کے حالیہ فضائی حملوں میں خواتین، بچوں اور بزرگوں سمیت 20 سے زائد شہری ہلاک ہوئے۔بلوچستان میں جاری میڈیا بلیک آؤٹ ریاستی تشدد کے واقعات کی آزادانہ اور شفاف تصدیق میں رکاوٹ بن رہا ہے۔
وشمہ بلوچ نے عالمی اداروں اور انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں پر زور دیا کہ وہ بین الاقوامی طریقۂ کار کے تحت مؤثر اقدامات کریں تاکہ مزید تشدد کو روکا جا سکے اور شہریوں کے تحفظ کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
اکبر بلوچ نے سانحۂ سوراب اور بلوچستان میں جبری گمشدگیوں کے مسئلے کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے بلوچ عوام کے خلاف منظم امتیازی سلوک پر تنقید کی۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ بلوچ قوم اپنے بنیادی حقوق اور آزادی کے لیے مسلسل جدوجہد کر رہی ہے، جس کو روکنے کے لیے پاکستان بلوچ قوم کی نسل کشی کر رہی ہے۔ | 114 |

| 18 | Martyr Haji Razzaq Baloch: BNM Leader Abducted and Killed in Pakistan Army Custody
Martyr Haji Razzaq Baloch was a prominent leader of the Baloch National Movement (BNM). A former Information Secretary of the BNM, he was forcibly disappeared and later killed in the custody of the Pakistan Army.
A distinctive personality with a profound philosophical outlook, Haji Razzaq Baloch was a valuable intellectual figure in the Baloch national liberation movement. His ideas and contributions played an important role in shaping the intellectual direction of the struggle. The BNM honours his political and intellectual legacy and deeply values his contributions.
His killing was part of the broader campaign of repression against the Baloch nation, in which prominent leaders, intellectuals, and national thinkers have been targeted in an effort to deprive the nation of its leadership and collective intellectual strength. Numerous BNM leaders and activists have fallen victim to this policy of repression by the Pakistan Army.
Martyr Haji Razzaq Baloch (Sarbazi), son of Haji Rasool Bakhsh, was a resident of Karachi. A journalist by profession, he joined the Baloch national liberation movement through the platform of the Baloch National Movement (BNM).
In 2006, he was elected Zonal Organiser of the BNM's Karachi Zone. In 2008, he became a member of the BNM Central Committee. Later, at the party's Eighth National Council Session in 2010, he was elected Information and Culture Secretary of the Baloch National Movement.
On 24 March 2013, Haji Razzaq Baloch was forcibly disappeared from Karachi by the Pakistan Army. Nearly five months later, on 21 August 2013, his body was found in Karachi with multiple bullet wounds.
