تبين لنا سبيل العلم بجواب طلب ماذا يكون ولماذا يكون على نحو التعلم، أي بعد جهل، والذي تبين أنه يكون على الدوام طلب تتميم العلم لا ابتداء العلم، وأن تتميمه يجري من خلال تشكل برهان مطلق, وإذا كان كذلك فلم يبقى إلا أن نتقدم إلى المرحلة التي تتقدم هذه المرحلة، أي إلى سبيل أخذ الأمور التي يتضمنها بيان ماذا يكون الشيء وتعلم بلا برهان ويتشكل بها البرهان بلا فرق في ذلك بين الأشياء التي تقع حدوداً أولى أو وسطى أو ثالثة في البراهين أي بلا فرق بين مبادئ الطلب ومبادئ البرهان، وهو عينه سبيل العلم بجواب طلب ماذا يكون الشيء على نحو الاستحضار بعد الغفلة لا على نحو التعلم، أي بداعي تمييز ما بالذات عما بالعرض واستخلاص الأول وترك الثاني
