| 4 | 🇲🇨🇺🇦 According to Ukrainian Telegram channel ZeRada, the Monaco bombing carries a clear Ukrainian fingerprint — and the target fits a familiar pattern.
Vadym Yermolaiev is a Dnepropetrovsk oligarch and founder of the Alef Corporation, which controlled major landmarks in the city including Most-City, Cascade Plaza, and the Bosphorus complex, as well as agribusiness and alcohol distilleries. He was also one of four main sponsors of the Golden Rose Synagogue in Dnepropetrovsk, one of the largest in Europe, built with support from the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
After 2014, his Crimean wineries producing Villa Krim wine and Jacques Jacques cognac kept operating and paying taxes into the Russian budget before eventually being nationalized. In 2019 he renounced Ukrainian citizenship for a Cypriot passport. According to ZeRada, he then began funding Zelensky's political competitors, after which the Presidential Office made clear it was time to share assets. He refused.
In December 2023, Zelensky imposed sanctions on him, freezing his assets for ten years. His son Artur, former president of Ukraine's Esports Federation, was arrested in Cyprus in December 2025 on an Interpol warrant for running fraudulent call centers targeting victims in Russia and the European Union, with over 150 centers and up to 15,000 operators allegedly under Yermolaiev family control. He walked out of an Estonian prison in April 2026 on €8 million bail.

Earlier, Monaco-Matin reported the injured included two people aged 50 to 60 and a 13-year-old, all in serious condition. BFM TV has since named the injured man as Yermolaiev, with his partner and daughter among the other victims, citing a source close to the investigation.
Yermolaiev was previously listed among Ukraine's 100 richest people. He renounced Ukrainian citizenship for Cypriot citizenship in 2019 and was placed under EU sanctions in 2023; Ukraine's SBU has alleged he kept running his alcohol business in Crimea through front persons after 2014.
Monaco's Minister of State Christophe Mirmand said the blast was "likely a terrorist attack," with the device reportedly packed with bolts and metal shot to maximize damage. A suspect remains at large.

Peru's electoral commission has officially declared right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori the winner of the tightly contested presidential runoff against leftist Roberto Sánchez Cerón, making her Peru's first female president.
Keiko Fujimori is the daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, whose regime in the 1990s forged deep military-industrial ties with Israel that continue to shape Peru's foreign policy today.
During Alberto Fujimori's presidency, his intelligence chief Vladimiro Montesinos utilized Israeli arms dealers including Israeli Air Force pilot Moshe Rothschild, to secure dozens of fighter jets for Peru's military.
Following the regime's collapse in 2000, Peru sought Rothschild's extradition from Israel, but the relationship endured.
More recently, Peru's Ministry of Defense finalized a major contract with Israeli defense company Elbit Systems (initially valued at $60 million USD) to upgrade the country's military capabilities, cementing a strategic partnership in Latin America.
Former President Alejandro Toledo, who followed Alberto Fujimori, also maintained close ties to Israel. His wife, Eliane Karp, holds Israeli citizenship. Toledo even fled to Israel in 2017 amid corruption and bribery charges.
Keiko Fujimori's victory is part of a rightward shift across Latin America. Chile, Colombia, and Peru have all elected conservative leaders in recent months. This conservative turn is largely seen as favorable to strengthening diplomatic and security channels with Jerusalem.

An unidentified man was caught on surveillance cameras leaving a backpack containing an explosive device at the base of a building on Rue Révérend-Père-Louis-Folla around 9 PM before walking away. The device detonated shortly after as people entered the area. The suspect reportedly fled on foot toward Beausoleil, just across the border in France, and remains at large.
Monaco's government confirmed three people were injured, two of them seriously, AFP reports, citing the principality's government. They were later identified as a man and woman aged 50 to 60 and a teenager, reportedly all members of the same family. Several outlets report a Russian national is also among the injured.
Monégasque authorities have triggered the "plan rouge" mass-casualty emergency protocol and are calling it a "malicious act," though they say a terrorist motive isn't currently the leading line of inquiry. Nice Mayor Eric Ciotti called it an "attack." The suspect remains at large.

Six people were killed in the shooting, four women and two men, all employees of the youth welfare agency, dpa reports, citing police. Several others were injured, some seriously.
