| 5 | Question (508): Is it a sin to memorize a surah or an ayah from the Quran and then forget it?
Answer (508): If a person forgets how to read the memorized verses from the Mushaf, they commit a sin. However, simply forgetting them by heart does not make them a sinner. Nevertheless, to avoid disagreement, the most cautious approach is to constantly review what has been memorized.

| 6 | Question (507): If a husband says to his wife, "I have entrusted this matter to you," and the wife replies, "I divorce myself from you," is the divorce considered valid?
Answer (507): If, by saying to his wife, "I have entrusted this matter to you," the husband intended to delegate the right of divorce to her, then the divorce is valid.

Answer (504): If he understands what he is saying, then the divorce is considered valid.

| 16 | Question (503): It is said that, unlike ethanol, methanol is not najasah because it does not possess the potential (bi'l-quwwah) to intoxicate. What is your response?
Answer (503): Ethanol is najasah, and there is absolutely no disagreement on this. However, if Muslim chemists who are not fasiqs prove that methanol does not possess the potential (bi'l-quwwah) to intoxicate, then the hukm is given that it is not najasah.

| 17 | Question (502): Is there any indication in the hadiths regarding the virtue of Imam Maturidi?
Answer (502): Regarding Imam al-Huda Abu Mansur al-Maturidi (may Allah have mercy on him), the glad tidings came by a subtle hint and a sign. This is indicated by the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "Constantinople (Istanbul) will certainly be conquered; how wonderful is the commander who conquers it, and how wonderful is the army that conquers it!" This hadith was recorded by Imam al-Hakim.
It is well known that Constantinople was conquered by Sultan Muhammad Fatih, who followed the madhhab of Imam Abu Hanifa, was a Maturidi, and walked the path of tasawwuf. The army mentioned here brought together both Ash'aris and Maturidis.

| 18 | Question (501): A woman came to me and said that someone has performed sihr on me and my sister. How can I confirm this? What are the signs of a person who is under the influence of sihr?
Answer (501): This is idle gossip among women. Sihr is a matter of ghayb, and it only becomes known through signs recognized by experts in this field.

| 19 | Question (500): As it is known, one of the ways to earn money on YouTube is that the channel owner allows the showing of several ads to the viewer. However, the creator themselves cannot control the content of these ads. In approximately 80 percent of cases, the ad contains uncovered women or moments that contradict shariah. How does shariah look at this issue? If we know for certain that there is content in the ad that contradicts religion, is the earning from such an ad considered haram?
Answer (500): The ruling on profit depends on the means by which it is obtained. If the earning is built on haram, then it is also haram.
