| 4 | Well. President Trump finished his U.N. speech and apparently Morning Dots needed an update before lunch.
Trump called the International Criminal Court an “out of control institution” and urged nations to withdraw from it — taking an existing U.S. campaign to isolate the ICC directly to the U.N. stage.
He also rejected international governance of AI, said America intends to stay ahead of China, and announced that the U.S. should apparently start calling Artificial Intelligence “Super Intelligence.”
So AI is now SI.
I would like everyone to know I had barely finished learning what the fucking chips do.
He also laid out a much broader Western Hemisphere doctrine: the U.S. will not allow threats to gain a foothold in the hemisphere, pointing to Venezuela as the example, while saying Cuba is a failed state that “will fall.”
Meanwhile — because apparently today’s news has no brakes — the U.S. and Iran are signaling openness to renewed talks at the U.N., right after Iran floated reopening Hormuz within seven days under certain conditions.
