15 NEW: Judge bars prosecutors from using some salacious evidence in Hunter Biden's gun trial
The judge presiding over Hunter Biden's federal gun case in Delaware on Friday ruled that prosecutors on Special Counsel David Weiss' team cannot use some salacious evidence in the first son's criminal trial next month, including references to his U.S. Navy discharge and the child support case for his out-of-wedlock daughter in Arkansas.
The court met for its final hearing before jury selection begins on June 3. Fox News has previously reported that prosecutors planned to use portions of his book and laptop, including photos, to convince a jury that the first son is guilty of making false statements on a federal form when he purchased a revolver in 2018, while actively using narcotics. Hunter Biden has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Judge Maryellen Noreika on Friday said that Weiss must show Hunter Biden was addicted to drugs — but not necessarily using drugs the day he purchased the gun.
Noreika said the government may use part of Hunter Biden's book where he discusses his addiction to drugs.
The prosecution does not plan to bring out the entire infamous laptop containing details of Hunter Biden's life, but will introduce certain portions. Noreika ruled that Hunter Biden’s team will be able to question aspects of the laptop in front of the jury. The laptop, which leaked in 2020 just before the presidential election, was decried as Russian disinformation by 51 former intelligence officials.

20 The Biden administration is increasingly concerned that the intensifying military alliance between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un could vastly expand Pyongyang’s nuclear capabilities and increase tensions in the Asia-Pacific region, six senior U.S. officials told NBC News.
U.S. officials are also bracing for North Korea to potentially take its most provocative military actions in a decade close to the U.S. presidential election, possibly at Putin’s urging, the officials said.
The timing, they said, could be designed to create turmoil in yet another part of the world as Americans decide whether to send President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump back to the White House.
“We have no doubt that North Korea will be provocative this year. It’s just a matter of how escalatory it is,” a U.S. intelligence official said.

23 The New York Times really hates patriotic flags, apparently.
This perspective comes after the alleged “newspaper of record” breathlessly reported a photo taken last year outside the Jersey Shore beach house of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.
The snapshot showed several flags flying off a flagpole, including one that reads “An Appeal to Heaven” with a pine tree below it.
Next to it was a Philadelphia Phillies flag.
“Another Provocative Flag Was Flown at Another Alito Home,” reads the Times headline, adding, “The justice’s beach house displayed . . . a symbol carried on Jan. 6 and associated with a push for a more Christian-minded government.”
What’s so “provocative” about this flag, exactly?
The Times portrays it as a rally symbol for those involved in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol because the flag was seen being held by a few of the protesters there.
But there were many different flags seen that day, most prominently the American flag itself.

24 BREAKING: FOX News has obtained a letter from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan to Sec. Mayorkas demanding answers over the attempted breach of Marine Corps Base Quantico by Jordanian nationals on May 3rd.
Jordan is demanding the following information by 5p/Jun 7th:
1. Case history information, including, but not limited to, the alien’s immigration history, immigration benefits applications, the alien file (A-file) or consular file (including all consular notes), and immigration detention status and history.
2. Information regarding the time, date, and place of any and all of the alien’s entries into the United States.
3. Information regarding the alien’s processing by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials, including whether CBP officials were alerted to derogatory information about the alien and what questions were asked of the alien during the screening process.
The probe follows inquiries by the House Homeland GOP and Sen. Lindsey Graham with similar letters to Mayorkas.
DHS Spokesperson issued this statement to FOX regarding the congressional probes:
“DHS responds to congressional correspondence directly via official channels, and the Department will continue to respond appropriately to Congressional oversight."
