It doesnβt mean you have to continually hold Disdain in your own Field in order to deal with the situation. It just means that you are willing to see and Accept what is.
Love and even Forgiveness do not automatically presume proximity and access to you. You can Forgive someone for the harm theyβve caused you without needing to interact with them.
Thereβs a huge misunderstanding out there that assumes that if and when you Forgive someone, that the slate is wiped clean and youβre supposed to pick up where you left off, as if the Reality of what occurred has been erased.
No. Forgiveness means you let go of the pain and anger. It means you no longer feel a need to seek punishment, reconciliation or even some kind of closure. You simplyβ¦let go of the energetic attachment to the person or event(s).
And that letting go is personal. It happens inside of you and has nothing to do with the other person or circumstance. It does not automatically mean that you welcome them back into your sphere with open arms. THAT part has to do with their willingness to see their role in things and to make the necessary changes to repair the relationship.
Many of us have been conditioned to believe that the ultimate outcome of conflict must always be a return to a previous state with the person. And thatβs not only false, itβs ridiculous.
You can Love the snake for what it is without putting it back in your jacket. And no one but you will know that youβve made the shift in how you feel.
Itβs 100% INTERNAL and, frankly, no one elseβs business.
Too many people try to wear βForgivenessβ as some kind of badge of honor or completion by announcing it out to the world; or to the person theyβve Forgiven. Sometimes that is warranted.
And sometimes, it simply isnβt.
