🇵🇰 Pakistan Navy's deepest mission: Black boxes found 3,200 meters below the Arabian Sea
The Pakistan Navy has located the flight recorders of the crashed K2 Airways cargo Boeing 737-400 at a depth of 3,200 meters in the Arabian Sea. This is Pakistan's first deep-water operation of this scale. The search lasted two months — from the July crash to the discovery in late September — using equipment developed by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM). The data has been handed to the Bureau of Air Safety Investigation.
To grasp the scale: 3,200 meters is like finding an object at the bottom of a very deep gorge. For comparison, Air France 447's black boxes lay at about 3,900 meters in 2009 — and it took years and international efforts to recover them.
❗️What was the crash?
On July 7, 2026, a cargo Boeing 737-400 flew from Sharjah to Karachi with five crew members. The crew reported a navigation malfunction. Radar showed erratic altitude changes, then a dive at about 22,400 feet per minute. Contact was lost.
❓What is the company?
K2 Airways is a private Pakistani cargo carrier founded in 2018, based in Karachi. Its fleet had just one aircraft — that same 27-year-old Boeing 737-400.

Each destroyed data center or substation brings Ukraine closer to a command-and-control breakdown, notes the analyst, with its effects soon to be visible in Russian advances in the Kharkov and Sumy regions, and in Ukraine’s approach to negotiations.
