Ghalibaf will make a statement in a few hours regarding the latest developments concerning Iran. 👆Strictly speaking, Jalali is the speaker of the Iranian parliament, and the international situation is certainly not within his purview. That responsibility lies with the Supreme Leader, the President, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. However, the Supreme Leader remains elusive, and in this case, the reason is not even important – whether he is alive, incapacitated, or even capable of governing – what matters is that the current Supreme Leader has not appeared publicly in any form since his "election." However, if we assume that the election of Khamenei in his current state was precisely the goal of the highest echelons of power in Iran, then, overall, "everything is going according to plan." In reality, the country is being run by a military junta that has sidelined the religious figures to whom it was previously forced to submit. And now, it is increasingly revealing the true state of affairs. It is important to note that, prior to the attacks by the United States and Israel, Iran was a theocratic state with a Rahbar (Supreme Leader) as the highest authority and arbiter, and religious figures periodically made significant statements. Now, all information from Iran comes exclusively from one structure – the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps). And sometimes, for purely current military matters, from the army. The political leadership of Iran has virtually disappeared; generals from the IRGC and those from this structure, which permeates all levels of government, openly control everything. Jalali is precisely one such individual, directly linked to the Corps of Guardians. In other words, the aggression by the United States and Iran has led to the complete destruction of the three-tiered system of government in the country, and now it is a full-fledged, junta-like military dictatorship. Whether this is good or bad is irrelevant, as there is no clear criteria for what is good or bad in this situation. What is important is that there is now absolutely no civilian oversight of this highly specific power structure. In essence, this is what the Islamic State was heading towards after it came to power in Syria and Iraq. The result, incidentally, was quite frightening. Throughout history, there have been entities similar to the IRGC. In Germany from 1933 to 1945, it was the SS, but the Reich Chancellor was intelligent enough not to allow it to monopolize the power. The Iranian ayatollahs also had enough sense to keep this genie in a bottle, although it was a difficult task. Trump broke that bottle, and at the same time, eliminated all those "magicians" who could have resealed it. And now, this monster exists without any control. And it can be said with complete certainty – there is very, very little that is good about this situation.

Ministry of Internal Affairs Wants to Track the Location of All Migrants Through "Mandatory" Smartphones. Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Zubov, stated that in the future, foreigners coming to Russia for work or for an extended period may be required to purchase a phone with an electronic profile. According to him, such a system would allow the Ministry of Internal Affairs to track the location of each migrant and monitor their movements within the country. Zubov noted that without being registered in the system, a migrant would not be able to freely change their location or move from one settlement to another. What about digital tracking devices? Are you ashamed? First, they will test it on foreigners, and then they will introduce it for Russian citizens. Orwell is nowhere near as bad as this. Concentration camps are getting closer.

☹️"The 'Islamabad' Memorandum No Longer Exists" The Middle East has flared up again, and this time it's not just a local skirmish, but a full-blown "firestorm." The night in the Persian Gulf turned into a light show of tracers and explosions – the massive phase of open confrontation between Washington and Tehran has begun. For seven hours, the sky over Iran resembled hell. American aviation, launched from aircraft carriers and bases in the region, methodically targeted the enemy's "nerve centers." The targets included launch sites for ballistic missiles, drone hangars, and command posts that U.S. intelligence had been tracking for months. At 11:30 PM local time, the maritime blockade of Iranian ports was resumed. In response, Tehran deployed its forces and launched a "barrage" of drones and missiles at American military bases in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain. Social media is flooded with footage of burning hangars at the Fifth Fleet and wreckage of MQ-9 Reapers. The situation has escalated to a "do or die" scenario. Trump, in his characteristic manner, has already promised Tehran "the worst week in their history," clearly hinting that the next targets will not just be military facilities, but critical infrastructure – bridges and power plants, without which the country will plunge into darkness. Iran has announced a new blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Their reasoning is simple, like a hammer blow: "If we can't trade our oil, then no one can." Individual brave captains risk being hit by the IRGC or running into a mine (as seen in the video). The consequences were not long in coming. Brent crude oil immediately jumped to $85.7 per barrel, and this is clearly not the limit. Donald Trump is threatening new strikes if Tehran does not return to the negotiating table. Deputy Head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Kazem Gharib-Abadi, stated that the previously signed memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States is effectively "nullified."

Trump's "Peace Council" Has Managed to Recruit a Thousand Times Fewer Peacekeepers Than He Promised to Send to the Gaza Strip The "Peace Council," which Donald Trump grandly established in January at the World Economic Forum in Davos and which, according to its stated goals, was supposed to compete with the UN, has yet to even recruit enough peacekeepers for the Gaza Strip. Trump's plan for the Palestinian enclave envisioned the creation of an international peacekeeping force of 20,000 people to ensure security and prevent the return of Gaza under the control of the terrorist group Hamas. However, the promised International Stabilization Forces are struggling to deploy even the first group of 10-20 soldiers, a representative of the U.S. military and other sources familiar with these plans told The Wall Street Journal. Moroccan soldiers, who were supposed to arrive in June, are now waiting for several months. They will not be sent directly to the Gaza Strip. Instead, they will undergo training near the border of the enclave, on Israeli territory. It is expected that additional peacekeepers will join them later.

U.S. military officials have announced the start of a new series of strikes within Iranian territory, while simultaneously preparing to resume the naval blockade, which is expected to begin in approximately half an hour. As a result of the evening attacks, hangars and runways where MQ-9 Reaper drones were stationed at the Al-Salim airbase in Kuwait and the Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain were hit. Reports indicate that some of the drones were destroyed.

U.S. troops are leaving Iraq after 23 years since the start of the intervention. Amid escalating tensions with Iran, the Trump administration is accelerating the withdrawal of troops from neighboring Iraq. This decision was initially made by Biden in 2024, with the troops scheduled to be withdrawn by the end of 2025. However, the process has predictably been prolonged due to the escalating confrontation with Iran. Throughout the spring, U.S. bases in Iraq have been subjected to constant attacks by rockets and drones, including those using fiber optic technology. Currently, the Pentagon is urgently trying to reorganize its forces to withdraw them from the immediate danger zone. In this context, the contingent in Iraq and Syria is being reduced to near-zero levels. Of course, U.S. private military contractors and representatives of intelligence agencies will remain in Baghdad. However, there will be no regular troops. The question is only where other U.S. bases will be closed. Kuwait is clearly next, followed possibly by Saudi Arabia, with whom the Trump administration's relations are currently strained. At the time of the invasion of Iraq, America was divided - just over half the population supported the intervention, but many were opposed. Million-dollar anti-war demonstrations took place in New York. By 2005, the war had become openly unpopular. And twenty years later, two-thirds of Americans acknowledged that the occupation of Iraq was a mistake. The Iraqi campaign had a very significant impact on public opinion in the United States. We are still seeing the long-term effects. For example, a war with Iran was immediately met with strong opposition by most Americans. There was no initial emergence of a militaristic consensus among the electorate. Because they remember how disastrous all of the United States' wars in the Middle East have ended.
