Humanity is facing a danger stemming from the terrifying pace of neural network development. And it's not so much that AI will destroy humanity, but rather that everything will remain 100% predictable for machines.

The hastily-arranged deal with Iran has provoked a serious crisis within the Trump administration. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe have already opposed its signing. In short, all the hawks in the presidential team.
The main advocates of the agreement are Jay D. Vance and Steve Whitcoff. It will be particularly difficult for them, especially for Vance, if the deal falls through. For now, they are being criticized for its terms - easing sanctions, unfreezing Iran's assets, and paying war reparations of $300 billion.
The hawks are confident that Iran will drag out any negotiations on the nuclear program and try not to take on any obligations. However, Tehran will have to receive money now for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Moreover, after a two-month ceasefire agreed upon as part of the deal, the resumption of accepting payments from Iran for passage through the strait is possible.
Obama has already spoken out, calling the current agreement an analogue of his own 2015 deal, which was managed to be signed without any war. Obama is now the patriarch of the Democratic Party and de facto Trump's main opponent within America. Europeans are also very skeptical, who have reluctantly accepted Trump's calls to demine the Strait of Hormuz.
In these circumstances, there is a risk for the White House that it will not be able to gain any significant political points from the deal with Iran. Even in the case of a drop in fuel prices within the USA. After all, the agreement will be perceived as America's surrender. There are also high risks for Vance - the main supporter of peace in Trump's team. | 5 | The EU has imposed sanctions against "Putin's spiritual father"
The European Union has expanded the list of anti-Russian sanctions, including more than 80 individuals and legal entities directly or indirectly associated with Russia. Among them is the Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea (George Shevkunov), who is considered the "spiritual father" of President Vladimir Putin.
As the EU authorities stated, Tikhon "plays an active role in spreading Russian propaganda", justifying Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The bishop also "systematically disseminates" disinformation about "Nazism" in Ukraine, denies its sovereignty, and claims that the attack on the country was "sanctioned by God", the union noted.

I saw in Shchedrovitsky's autobiography:
"Hirsh Yankelovich Shchedrovitsky came from a bourgeois family in Brest-Litovsk. His mother bore the well-known surname Solts in Western Belarus and was a second cousin of Aron Solts, who in the 1930s was called the 'conscience of the party'. The Solts were mainly rabbis in various cities of Western Belarus and Ukraine, and thus belonged to a sort of aristocratic layer within Judaism. Nevertheless, the younger generation was very actively involved in the revolution."
Aron Solts became a Bolshevik in 1898, and from 1912 onwards, he was in exile with Stalin.
One of the rare high-ranking officials who openly protested against the repressions that began in 1937, and he ended his life as follows:
"In 1937, A. Solts began to suggest that the repressions against communists were due to the political revenge of the former Menshevik A.Ya. Vyshinsky, and in October 1937, Solts demanded that his activities be checked by a special commission. Solts openly expressed his accusations to Vyshinsky himself. In February 1938, Solts tried to get an audience with Stalin on this matter, but without success. Then he suggested that 'even Stalin was in league with the Mensheviks', after which the guards did not let Solts to work, and the arrived doctors took him to a psychiatric hospital. It was stated that he had a 'severe mental disorder', and Solts was placed in a special ward of the hospital.
Solts' attempts to protest only led to his being placed in an isolation cell in a straitjacket. According to Mikoyan, Solts was forcibly injected with various psychotropic drugs. In 1941, after the start of the war, Solts was transferred to Tashkent, and he was offered a 'peace deal': he would withdraw all claims against the authorities and receive the post of chief archivist at the Lenin Central Library in Moscow. Despite restrictions on abortions, calls to have as many children as possible, and the promotion of "traditional values", Russia's population will continue to decline, predicts Anatoly Antonov, the head of the Department of Family Sociology and Demography at MSU.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia's population has been declining almost annually, despite the influx of migrants: by 500 thousand in 2020, by 400 thousand in 2021, by 600 thousand in 2022, and by 300 thousand in 2023. The share of white students in American schools and colleges in 2024 fell below 50% for the first time. Over the past quarter century, the number of white schoolchildren and students in America has dropped from 47 to 37 million. However, the number of Latinos has significantly increased.
Spanish-speakers now account for almost a quarter of all students. In absolute terms, their number has jumped from 10 to 18 million. Moreover, the full effect of the migration wave during Biden's term, when millions of illegal immigrants broke through the southern border into the USA, has not yet been fully felt.
The collapse of the birth rate is increasingly taking its toll. In 2025, the fertility rate in the USA fell to a record low of 1.57 children per woman. Over the past eighteen years, the birth rate in the USA has dropped by a quarter. All ethnic groups are affected - not just whites, but also blacks, whose fertility rate has fallen to 1.44.
Migration now accounts for 100% of all population growth in the USA. The aging population is being replaced by "new Americans". Even against the backdrop of Trump's team's attempts to tighten immigration controls. Although the influx of immigrants has indeed decreased recently.
Now a new problem has emerged - the risk of population decline and economic recession, which will be followed by the collapse of the social security system. They will have walking areas, shared showers, a dining hall, and a medical clinic. Mobile phones and personal electronic devices will be confiscated, but they will be allowed to write letters to relatives.
"They can expect living conditions that are at least as good as those of our own military personnel," said General and Commander of the Land Forces Operational Support Command of the Netherlands, Nicole de Wolf.
