I see publicists assessing Iran's reconciliation as a defeat for America. It's unclear where this conclusion comes from. Formally, the US fulfilled Israel's request to stop Iran's nuclear program. Of course, the Iranians will likely secretly pursue this issue, but not actively. Financially, the US benefits - American oil and gas companies earned an extra couple of hundred billion dollars during the confrontation. The US military-industrial complex received new orders worth 150-200 billion dollars from the frightened monarchies of the Persian Gulf. Most importantly, the ruling group of ayatollah-schizophrenics in Iran has been replaced. The supreme ayatollah was killed, and his son formally took his place - but it's unclear whether he is alive or disabled. Plus, the IRGC spread the rumor that the new ayatollah is a homosexual, which greatly diminished his status. Throughout the four months of confrontation, the voice of the ayatollahs was not heard - only the IRGC spoke and acted. The fanatics have been replaced by pragmatists from the IRGC. Likely, the US administration believes that it will be easier to communicate with pragmatists, like with any materialists "about money and other material benefits". There's a chance that American companies will now enter Iran's oil and gas and petrochemical sectors and start regulating (at least partially) this market. Iran behaved obediently with the monarchies of the Persian Gulf, even though the destruction of desalination plants in Bahrain, Qatar, and Dubai alone would have put them on the brink of death. This is the first evidence of pragmatism from Iran's new rulers from the IRGC. As for the $300 billion fund for Iran's reconstruction - well, the US recently announced a $100 billion fund for Gaza's reconstruction ("Peace Council"). And where is this Gaza fund? Grandpa Trump gave his word and took it back - what can you do about it?
