Crowley's deportation from Fascist Italy In 1923, the Fascist government of Italy issued a deportation order (according a biographer, approved by Mussolini himself), to deport the Satanist Alistair Crowley from Italy. Crowley had brought his "do whatever you want is the only law" religion to Sicily. Crowley had been among other things, a Kabbalist, Rosicrucian, and Freemason.
