MAJOR NARCOTICS HAUL: ASSAM RIFLES SEIZES YABA TABLETS WORTH βΉ6 CRORE IN CACHAR
Assam Rifles, acting on specific intelligence from 3 Field Intelligence Detachment (3 FID), in a joint operation with Cachar Police and Hailakandi Police, recovered 30,000 Yaba tablets worth approximately βΉ6 crore from the Hailakandi Bypass area, Assam.
One individual was apprehended during the operation. The recovered contraband and the accused were handed over to Hailakandi Police for further legal action. The successful operation underscores Assam Rifles steadfast commitment, in close coordination with civil police, to combating narcotics trafficking and ensuring peace and security in the region.

A total of 113 Nakas/Check points were installed in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and the valley.
Movement of 300 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 has been ensured. Strict security measures are taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles.

| 16 | CRPF Saves Lives in Kangpokpi: When suspected militants targeted civilian homes in Thangkhongjang Sejang/ Chingkhonjang (Setjang) Village Under New Keithelmanbi PS, nearby CRPF units responded instantly to defend the village. Personnel rescued an injured woman and an 8-year-old girl, providing immediate field care before personally evacuating them to a nearby hospital. Their swift, decisive action saved civilian lives and prevented a major tragedy.
The injured have been identified as Nengneichong Kipgen (56), wife of Hejang Kipgen, and Lamneingah Kipgen (daughter of Lamkholen Kipgen). Both sustained bullet injuries to their left thighs.
According to sources, the injured were initially provided first aid at the 9 Sector Assam Rifles camp before being shifted to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, for further treatment.
