RECORD ₹327 CR DRUG BUST IN ASSAM In Assam Rifles' largest-ever Yaba seizure, a joint operation with DRI in Hailakandi recovered 109.2 kg of Yaba tablets worth ₹327 Crore and two trucks. One trafficker was arrested, crippling major regional drug logistics.

₹98 CR DRUG SEIZURE IN TRIPURA Assam Rifles, DRI, and Tripura Police intercepted a major inter-state narcotics ring, seizing 12,26,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹98.08 Crore and 2 Tata trucks in Khowai and North Tripura. Two peddlers were arrested in joint night raids.

On 14-09-26, based on reliable input from AR coroborrated with District Police, Tengnoupal Police and AR launched a search operation at the general area near Border Pillar 86 and arrested an active cadre of PRE-PAK, one Nongthongbam Manithoi @ Ningjaba (30) s/o (L) Nongthongbam Khomai of Awangpoksang khullen, Imphal West District.

On 15/09/2026, a combined team of CDO Kakching, AR arrested an active cadre of KYKL, namely Elangbam Langam Singh (27) S/o. (L) E. Ranjan Singh of Hiyanglam Warakhong Manung, Kakching District from his locality under Hiyanglam Police Station.

On 15/09/2026, based on information corroborated with AR, a combined team of CDO-Imphal West and CDO-Thoubal conducted search operation at Langjing area under Patsoi PS and arrested a member of RPF/PLA from a rented house located near Langjing CRPF Gate No. 1, namely Tokpam Tyson Meetei (22 yrs.) s/o Tokpam Ibotombi Meetei of Naharup Awang Leikai, Imphal East District.

On 15/09/2026, CDO-Bishnupur arrested an extortionist active cadre of KYKL, identified as Pukhrambam Joychandra Singh (43), S/o (L) P. Bijoy Singh of Wangoo Sabal Mayai Leikai, Bishnupur District, from Kumbi Terakhong.

On 14/09/2026, Lilong PS arrested two residents of Lilong Nungei: i. Md. Faruk (28) S/o. Md. Bashir, and ii. Mrs. Khusida (40) W/O (L) Md. Ibrahim. Fifty boxes containing 15,000 capsules of “Tramadol Hydrochloride TRAMANIL” weighing approximately 7.0 Kgs were seized.

On 15.09.2026, based on reliable intelligence from CRPF M&N Sector, corroborated by CDO/IE and CDO/IW, a joint team of CDO/IE, CDO/IW and CRPF arrested two active members of NRFM from Kongpal Kongkham Leikai, Imphal East: 1. Sheleibam Tomtin Meitei @ Tomba (27 yrs) 2. Sheleibam Jagatshyam Meitei @ Ibungo (35 yrs) Both are brothers who were involved in the firing upon SSB personnel at Lamlong Bazar on 22/08/2026 and CRPF personnel at Khonghampat on 10/09/2026. Their father, Sheleibam Yaima has been arrested earlier in connection with the case of attack on CRPF at Khonghampat. Seizure: 1) One AK-47 rifle with 43 live rounds 2) One 9 mm pistol with 3 live rounds 3) One car, an auto-rickshaw, a scooter.

Joint forces of Jiribam District Police, CRPF and Assam Rifles are continuing the area domination operation launched early this morning along the Barak-Jiri river axis in the villages of Gilgal, Baiboni, Latingkhal and Muolzol, Jiribam District. With the strategic deployment of security forces, the operation has prevented further escalation of violence in the aftermath of unprovoked firing upon civilians by armed miscreants. Security forces remain committed to restoring normalcy and maintaining law and order in the State.

NIGHT ATTACK REPELLED | KANGPOKPI • Armed cadres targeted Chawangkining (Liangmai Naga village) along the IT Road from late night Sep 15 into early morning Sep 16. • CRPF forces stationed in the sector interdicted advancing cadres from the Songtun–Maohing ranges, preventing further movement. • Two houses set ablaze during bomb/arson attacks; no human casualties confirmed so far. • Security forces maintain active containment to stabilize the IT Road corridor.

ULFA(I) OGW APPREHENDED IN KAKOPATHAR Joint operation by Assam Rifles, Field Regt, and Assam Police apprehended ULFA(I) OGW/arms peddler Md Salauddin in Kakopathar, seizing a Japanese 7.65mm pistol and ammunition. The strike neutralizes a major illegal extortion and arms supply network in Tinsukia.

Diganta Chetia alias Anoljoy Asom surrenders before Tinsukia Police. • Operated from Myanmar (Yajong base) for 15 years before entering India via Border Pillar 173. • Surrender confirmed by SSP Mayank Kumar and Addl SP Mrinmoy Das; no weapons recovered. • Major boost to Assam Police counter-insurgency operations and border grid security.

Local sources report armed NSCN(IM) cadres attacked Leisang Village at the Jiribam-Tamenglong boundary around 1530 hrs today. The village was looted and automatic weapons used for indiscriminate firing. Two women returning from paddy fields were shot dead during the retreat. Further details awaited.
