On 10.06.22026, Manipur Police intercepted two four-wheelers along NH-2 under Kangpokpi-PS, Kangpokpi district and arrested 04 (four) occupants along with contraband WY tablets:
i) Md. Zamir Khan (45) of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai,
ii) Md. Zuma Khan (32) of Kshetri Makha Leikai, Imphal East, (A constable of Manipur Police),
iii) Md. Hafizuddin (42) of Golapati, (A Head Constable of Manipur Police), and
iv) Samim (36) of Lilong Haoreibi Leikai.
The following were seized:
i) 6.1 kgs of WY tablets,
ii) The intercepted vehicles: a Winger (MN-03B-0283), and a Nissan Magnite (MN-08A-0877).

| 12 | On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police at Khankawn Check Gate halted a vehicle en route from Champhai to Aizawl for routine inspection. Passenger Vanlalnghaka (36), of Tualcheng, residing at Vengsang, Champhai District, aroused suspicion. A search of his rucksack revealed red Reebok shoes containing 29 grams of suspected Heroin, estimated at ₹5,80,000, concealed within. The substance was seized. | 14 | On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police and Assam Rifles seized an Italian-made 0.32 mm Beretta Pistol. Acting on intelligence about illegal weapon sales, the joint team apprehended Dr. Thomas Lallina-a while attempting to sell the gun. They also recovered one magazine and three live rounds. The suspect and seized items were handed to Champhai Police Station for investigation and legal proceedings. | 110 |
| 15 | HEROIN SEIZED: On 10.06.2026 at around 10:30 AM, Excise & Narcotics Enforcement staff seized 99 grams of heroin at Champhai Zotlang, near the junction of the Seventh-day Adventist motor workshop. | 18 | Combing Ops to Disengage armed militants & Village Volunteers on 10 June 2026:
In view of recent developments, there were intelligent reports that armed persons were planning to attack isolated villages in hills. Accordingly, a joint operation was launched at Horei Kaphung hills (Lower Leishan Ridge).
During the operation, approximately dozen armed persons were spotted on top of the hills. While some of them fled, eight persons were detained, disarmed and were let off with a stern warning not to venture into hills or carry weapons since it is prohibited. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and war like stores were recovered from unauthorised bunkers on the hill top.
