On 10.06.22026, Manipur Police intercepted two four-wheelers along NH-2 under Kangpokpi-PS, Kangpokpi district and arrested 04 (four) occupants along with contraband WY tablets: i) Md. Zamir Khan (45) of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai, ii) Md. Zuma Khan (32) of Kshetri Makha Leikai, Imphal East, (A constable of Manipur Police), iii) Md. Hafizuddin (42) of Golapati, (A Head Constable of Manipur Police), and iv) Samim (36) of Lilong Haoreibi Leikai. The following were seized: i) 6.1 kgs of WY tablets, ii) The intercepted vehicles: a Winger (MN-03B-0283), and a Nissan Magnite (MN-08A-0877).

2	+3 11 June 2026, Manipur, Security forces continue to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas across districts. A total of 115 Nakas/Check points were installed in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and the valley. Movement of 201 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 has been ensured. 5	+1 DGP Manipur Shri Mukesh Singh, IPS, along with senior police officers, held a meeting with representatives of COCOMI, AMUCO, and AMMOCOC today at Police Headquarters, Mantripukhri. The DGP highlighted the important role of CSOs in promoting peace, social harmony, and inter-community understanding. Discussions focused on maintaining peace in the State and restoring normalcy. The CSO representatives shared their concerns and assured cooperation. The meeting ended with a joint commitment to continue dialogue for the larger interest of Manipur.	58

12	On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police at Khankawn Check Gate halted a vehicle en route from Champhai to Aizawl for routine inspection. Passenger Vanlalnghaka (36), of Tualcheng, residing at Vengsang, Champhai District, aroused suspicion. A search of his rucksack revealed red Reebok shoes containing 29 grams of suspected Heroin, estimated at ₹5,80,000, concealed within. The substance was seized. Champhai PS Case No. 92/26 dt. 08/06/26 u/s 21(b) NDPS Act was registered.	145
13	On 09.06.2026, Saitual Police intercepted a vehicle (UP32NZ6396) driven by Somraj (36), s/o Ramrakh Ram, near Keifang en route from Manipur to Aizawl. Officers recovered 71 packets of opium fluid (45.871 Kgs, valued at ₹2.29 Crores) concealed in the vehicle from: 1. Somraj (36), s/o Ramrakh Ram, Jodhpur, Padiyal, Rajasthan. 2. Kailash (28), s/o Mohan Ram, Narsing Nagar, Dhawa-1, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Saitual PS Case No. 57/2026 was registered on 09.06.2026 u/s 18(b)/25/29 ND&PS Act. Investigation is underway.	119
14	On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police and Assam Rifles seized an Italian-made 0.32 mm Beretta Pistol. Acting on intelligence about illegal weapon sales, the joint team apprehended Dr. Thomas Lallina-a while attempting to sell the gun. They also recovered one magazine and three live rounds. The suspect and seized items were handed to Champhai Police Station for investigation and legal proceedings.	110
15	HEROIN SEIZED: On 10.06.2026 at around 10:30 AM, Excise & Narcotics Enforcement staff seized 99 grams of heroin at Champhai Zotlang, near the junction of the Seventh-day Adventist motor workshop. The car used for transporting the heroin, bearing registration number MZ 01/L-0335, was also confiscated. In connection with this case, one individual identifying himself as Ikbal Hussain (28), son of Fakar Uddin, from Karimganj, Assam, was arrested and a case has been registered against him.	112

18	+1 Combing Ops to Disengage armed militants & Village Volunteers on 10 June 2026: In view of recent developments, there were intelligent reports that armed persons were planning to attack isolated villages in hills. Accordingly, a joint operation was launched at Horei Kaphung hills (Lower Leishan Ridge). During the operation, approximately dozen armed persons were spotted on top of the hills. While some of them fled, eight persons were detained, disarmed and were let off with a stern warning not to venture into hills or carry weapons since it is prohibited. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and war like stores were recovered from unauthorised bunkers on the hill top. Security Forces are committed to continue launching operations to safeguard all affected communities and villages.	118

20	+1 Kamjong District (Armed Insurgent Attack / Village Arson) Manipur: Kuki Village Attacked in Kamjong Date/Time: 11 June 2026 \| ~4:30 AM (Pre-dawn) Location: Kultuh Kuki Village (Chasad Area), Kamjong District Event: Armed Insurgency / Ethnic Violence / Arson Armed militants, alleged to be NSCN-IM/Tangkhul cadres, launched a brutal pre-dawn raid on Kultuh Kuki village. Multiple homes were set ablaze, and the village Head Deacon and Youth Chairman were shot dead during the attack.	122
