Junta-aligned media report the capture of a crucial People Defense Force (PDF) base camp in Tamu township, Sagaing division, near the India border. Fighting between junta forces and anti-junta resistance fighters along the Tamu-Kalaymyo highway has been fierce since June 10th, with junta airstrikes supporting ground troops. Despite no official PDF statement, junta media claims seizure of the PDF base.

On 10.06.22026, Manipur Police intercepted two four-wheelers along NH-2 under Kangpokpi-PS, Kangpokpi district and arrested 04 (four) occupants along with contraband WY tablets: i) Md. Zamir Khan (45) of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai, ii) Md. Zuma Khan (32) of Kshetri Makha Leikai, Imphal East, (A constable of Manipur Police), iii) Md. Hafizuddin (42) of Golapati, (A Head Constable of Manipur Police), and iv) Samim (36) of Lilong Haoreibi Leikai. The following were seized: i) 6.1 kgs of WY tablets, ii) The intercepted vehicles: a Winger (MN-03B-0283), and a Nissan Magnite (MN-08A-0877).

A total of 115 Nakas/Check points were installed in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and the valley. Movement of 201 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 has been ensured. Strict security measures are taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles.

On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police at Khankawn Check Gate halted a vehicle en route from Champhai to Aizawl for routine inspection. Passenger Vanlalnghaka (36), of Tualcheng, residing at Vengsang, Champhai District, aroused suspicion. A search of his rucksack revealed red Reebok shoes containing 29 grams of suspected Heroin, estimated at ₹5,80,000, concealed within. The substance was seized. Champhai PS Case No. 92/26 dt. 08/06/26 u/s 21(b) NDPS Act was registered.

Kailash (28), s/o Mohan Ram, Narsing Nagar, Dhawa-1, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Saitual PS Case No. 57/2026 was registered on 09.06.2026 u/s 18(b)/25/29 ND&PS Act. Investigation is underway.

On 08.06.2026, Champhai Police and Assam Rifles seized an Italian-made 0.32 mm Beretta Pistol. Acting on intelligence about illegal weapon sales, the joint team apprehended Dr. Thomas Lallina-a while attempting to sell the gun. They also recovered one magazine and three live rounds. The suspect and seized items were handed to Champhai Police Station for investigation and legal proceedings.

HEROIN SEIZED: On 10.06.2026 at around 10:30 AM, Excise & Narcotics Enforcement staff seized 99 grams of heroin at Champhai Zotlang, near the junction of the Seventh-day Adventist motor workshop. The car used for transporting the heroin, bearing registration number MZ 01/L-0335, was also confiscated. In connection with this case, one individual identifying himself as Ikbal Hussain (28), son of Fakar Uddin, from Karimganj, Assam, was arrested and a case has been registered against him.
