| 8 |  NEW: 2 people injured during a shooting at an intersection on Highway 291 in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
A group of thugs was seen jumping out of a car before opening fire on people in a vehicle stopped at the intersection.
According to police, one person was hit by gunfire and taken to the hospital. They have "serious but non-life-threatening" injuries. The other victim was hit by broken glass.
No one has been arrested.

| 12 |  +1Norway just seized the Russian Arctic research and expedition vessel Professor Molchanov in Barentsburg, Svalbard.
A Norwegian court ordered the seizure on August 31st in order to compensate Ukraine $4.22 billion after Russia stole Naftogaz assets in Crimea.
An international arbitration tribunal in The Hague administered under the Permanent Court of Arbitration ordered Russia to pay $4.22 billion (plus interest and legal costs) to the Ukrainian state-owned energy company, Naftogaz in 2023.
Because Moscow has consistently refused to pay the award, Naftogaz is actively enforcing the ruling globally through local courts.
The new ruling in a Norwegian court is another win after The Helsinki District Court ordered the confiscation of up to $4.25 billion worth of Russian state assets located within Finnish territory in 2024 to compensate Naftogaz.
The Ukrainian company is actively pursuing similar asset-freezing and seizure orders in the United States, United Kingdom, and France to satisfy the multibillion-dollar judgment

Iranian losses from the U.S. strikes on southern Iran two nights ago reportedly include:
• 3 Iranian Air Force pilots
• 6 Artesh Navy personnel
• 4 IRGC members
Among the IRGC dead were two Aerospace Force personnel, including one officer reportedly holding the rank of general.
The four IRGC members were killed in Kermanshah — a major hub for Iran’s missile forces — raising the likelihood that they were connected to missile operations at the time of the strikes.
The U.S. didn’t just hit infrastructure. It appears to have hit personnel directly involved in Iran’s military capabilities.

| 20 |  Greece has passed a new law imposing at least 10 years in prison and a €50,000 fine on NGO workers who help migrants cross its borders illegally, even if they do it for free. Anyone else who commits the same offense faces at least five years in prison and a €20,000 fine.
NGO workers who help illegal migrants hide from police or remain in Greece can receive up to 10 years in prison.
Transporting or hiding them carries at least 10 years and a €60,000 fine for every migrant involved.
The government can also remove the entire NGO from its official list as soon as a member is charged.
