FSU chief Rendel Ryan Sy said that the alien is also the subject of an outstanding warrant issued by the Northeast District County of Los Angeles, California, for the felony charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Minor.

▫️Five persons, BI personnel being probed after rescue of potential trafficking victim at NAIA
MANILA - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested an immigration officer during an interdiction operation at NAIA Terminal 1 on September 11 to 12, over alleged involvement in an illegal recruitment and human trafficking scheme.
According to NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag, the case stemmed from a complaint by a potential victim recruited to work in Thailand.
The NBI said the group allegedly recruited Filipinos for jobs in Thailand, including customer service positions with promised salaries of up to P50,000 monthly.
Investigators also allegedly found that passengers with incomplete travel documents were being allowed to pass through the immigration counter, with the officer reportedly receiving P40,000 for every passenger allegedly facilitated.

▫️NBI arrests operator of surrogacy clinic in Mandaluyong
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), through its Human Trafficking Division (NBI-HTRAD), arrested an official allegedly managing a surrogacy clinic in Mandaluyong City, pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 52, in Guagua, Pampanga.
The case stemmed from a complaint filed by a former surrogate mother.
According to the complainant, the agency recruited women from underprivileged backgrounds to serve as surrogate mothers for individuals wishing to have children.
The terms and conditions of the surrogacy arrangement were allegedly not fully explained or disclosed to the women recruited by the company.
The agency was also accused of facilitating the transfer of children to prospective adoptive parents in exchange for monetary payment.
Consequently, the RTC, Branch 52, Guagua, Pampanga, issued arrest warrants against the said individual—one of the officials managing the surrogacy clinic—and their spouse in connection with the complaint.

▫️Mistrial declared in New Hampshire youth detention center sex abuse case
MANCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire judge declared a mistrial Tuesday in the case of a former youth detention center worker charged with repeatedly raping a teenage boy after his accuser briefly testified about allegations involving other staff.
Jeffrey Buskey, 60, of Litchfield, is charged with 21 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault against David Meehan, who was 14 when he arrived at the Youth Development Center in Manchester in 1995.
Testifying for a second day Tuesday, Meehan said Buskey wasn’t the only staffer who sexually assaulted him. That prompted Buskey’s defense to ask for a mistrial, which Judge Will Delker denied. He instead instructed jurors to disregard that testimony, but when it happened again a few minutes later, Delker said he had no choice but to declare a mistrial.

▫️Epstein-connected billionaire Leon Black held in contempt of Congress
A bipartisan group of lawmakers has voted unanimously to hold a key ally of convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein in contempt of Congress. The Apollo Global Management co-founder, who appears in the Epstein Files more than 300 times, paid the disgraced financier over $150 million for what he called 'tax and estate planning' and more than $180 million in total, money Democrats on the committee say was 'used to traffic women and children.'
James Comer, a Kentucky Republican who leads the House Oversight Committee, told reporters outside of the Capitol Hill Club on Tuesday morning: 'We've tried every way in the world to get him in...and he refused to show.' We're going to treat him just like we've treated everyone else that defied a lawful congressional subpoena,' he added a few hours ahead of the vote. Black sat for a voluntary interview in the spring but refused to answer questions about nondisclosure agreements tied to Epstein.
He then skipped a July 16 deposition and a rescheduled September 3 appearance, and sued the committee instead.

▫️Criminal human trafficking network dismantled in Poland after years of operation
In the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, police have uncovered an organized crime group that, according to investigators, had been operating for approximately 15 years. Its alleged organizers were a 63-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife.
Investigators believe that from 2009 to the end of 2024, the group received over 5.5 million zł. In one club, the couple provided a venue for prostitution, supervised the women's work, and, in the case of one 28-year-old woman, investigators suspect human trafficking.
The couple was arrested, and five more people were charged with participating in the group. The suspects' assets were seized, valued at nearly 2.5 million zł. Human trafficking in Poland carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.

▫️Suspect Child Abuse? Report It Now!
If you need to report child abuse in Illinois, you do not need to prove the abuse before speaking up. You only need to share what you know and allow the proper authorities to determine what happens next.
A child may say something disturbing, show a sudden change in behavior, or someone may share information that raises concern. In moments like these, hesitation can matter. Understanding how to report child abuse in Illinois means knowing that you are not responsible for investigating the situation yourself.
