▫️2 women arrested, 7 minors rescued in anti-online child exploitation operations
Two women were arrested and seven minors were rescued in separate operations against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children conducted by the Philippine National Police in Zamboanga City and Norzagaray, Bulacan from June 2 to 4, 2026.
In the June 2 operation, personnel from the PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) Mindanao Field Unit served a Warrant to Search, Seize and Examine Computer Data in Zamboanga City, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old woman and the rescue of three female minors and one child at risk.
Police said the operation stemmed from a referral involving suspicious online content flagged by a partner organization. An investigation allegedly uncovered the production and distribution of child sexual abuse or exploitation materials (CSAEM) for foreign clients in exchange for money.
In a separate operation on June 4, the WCPC Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division arrested a 43-year-old woman in Norzagaray, Bulacan, and rescued three boys aged 11 to 16.

▫️Outcry in Indonesia after alleged abuse of toddlers in daycare
YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia, June 11 (Reuters) - When Aldewa Anjasmara Halip's three-year-old daughter cried hysterically every time she was due to attend a daycare centre in Indonesia's cultural capital of Yogyakarta, he thought the toddler simply wanted to stay at home and play.
But the police say the little girl was one of dozens of children aged 2 to 6 years old who were physically abused at the Little Aresha daycare centre. The police found most of more than 100 children enrolled at the centre with their hands and feet tied up when they raided it in April, the head of child protection at Yogyakarta's police criminal investigation unit, Apri Sawitri, said in an interview with Reuters. Some were tethered to doors, she said.
Authorities arrested 13 carers in late April on suspicion of child abuse and neglect, sparking a public outcry and calls for stronger government oversight of the emerging child daycare sector. The police also said the centre had been operating without required licences.

Roblox is facing more than 150 child-safety suits consolidated in federal court, in addition to scores of others in state courts. In court filings, Roblox has described its arbitration agreement as "consumer friendly and cost effective.”
If Roblox gets it way, those families might never see their day in court. The company’s terms of use state that, by signing up, Roblox subscribers forfeit their ability to pursue lawsuits in open court. Instead, claims are to be resolved in closed-door arbitration by private judges.

▫️School told to find and exhume graves ahead of planned development
A Tasmanian historical group says allowing a Catholic school to build new facilities over a former cemetery is "an injustice" and could lead to the remains of settlers being dug up.
The Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School in Deloraine, in the state's north, was declared "not a cemetery" last month by the Office of Local Government. That declaration came even though at least 355 people were buried between 1861 and 1936 on the land now occupied by the school. The ruling means the Catholic Church can apply to develop new facilities, as long as it first makes efforts to find, exhume and relocate human remains.

The family of a girl assaulted by one of Australia’s worst pedophiles hopes interstate victims receive justice soon after an appeal by the notorious predator failed.
Ashley Paul Griffith, 48, may be extradited to NSW to face almost 200 child sexual offences after his bid to reduce a life sentence for years of childcare centre assaults was dismissed.
Griffith’s lawyers had argued the 27‑year non‑parole period he was handed for 307 offences committed on 69 young children over almost 20 years was ”manifestly excessive”.

▫️Former Tasmanian school principal Gary Raymond Sykes faces 'inevitable' prison term for child sex abuse
A former school principal is staring down a prison term after robbing a "vulnerable" teenage girl of her innocence, a Tasmanian court has heard.

| 11 | 🇺🇸 DHS finds 146,000 missing and exploited kids brought to US under Biden, says sanctuary city mayors are abetting child traffickers
DOJ, DHS, HHS Hold Press Conference on Efforts to Safeguard Unaccompanied Alien Children: indictments & 146.000 missing UAC's found so far
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin hold a press conference on whole-of-government efforts to locate and safeguard unaccompanied alien children (UAC), fixing the broken system under the prior administration and hold accountable criminal UAC fraudsters, sponsors, and smugglers. Blanche said more than 475,000 unaccompanied children entered the U.S. during the Biden administration, with over 300,000 unable to be accounted for.
He pointed to “super sponsor” cases, where individuals sponsor more than three unrelated minor children, as a particular concern.
“There are over 15,500 ‘super sponsor’ cases that we have identified, we found 146,000 kids so far,” he said. “Some of these kids claimed that they were raped over 600 to 700 times."
Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), the author of five major anti-human trafficking laws, praised Trump Administration officials—including Acting U.S. Attorney General (AG) Todd Blanche and U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Markwayne Mullin—who announced today that the Administration has indicted three fraudulent “sponsors” and located over 146,000 unaccompanied migrant children, the vast majority of whom were trafficked through the southern border due to the Biden-Harris Administration’s weak and negligent open border policies.
Yesterday in Cleveland, Ohio, indictments were returned charging three illegal aliens from Guatemala for international smuggling of unaccompanied alien children (UAC) and defrauding the government, while another illegal alien was sentenced to prison for smuggling a UAC to the United States in 2023 and then fraudulently obtaining custody of the child who he then sexually abused.
The indictments charge Maritza Azucena Cahuec Coc, 38, and her brother Carlos Agustin Cahuec Coc, 33, both illegal aliens from Guatemala, for their roles in an international alien smuggling conspiracy that included submitting multiple fraudulent sponsorship applications to the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to gain custody of UACs. Gladys Marina Caal Chen, 20, an illegal alien from Guatemala, who, herself, was fraudulently sponsored as a UAC, is charged with making false statements to the government in connection with a UAC sponsorship application.
Juan Tiul Xi, 27, from Guatemala, pleaded guilty for helping smuggle a child into the United States and submitting a fraudulent sponsorship application, falsely representing that he was the child’s brother. After gaining custody, Xi sexually abused the child. For that, he was convicted of sexual battery of a child in state court and sentenced to eight years in prison. Additionally, Xi was sentenced to 26 months in federal prison to be served consecutive to the eight year state prison sentence.

According to the NBI, the complainant alleged that surrogate mothers were paid to bear children and surrender custody after birth to prospective adoptive parents. The agency was also accused of facilitating the falsification of children’s details on birth certificates.
Surveillance and an undercover operation later identified the individuals allegedly involved and uncovered what authorities described as the exploitation of surrogate mothers. Investigators also discovered a second facility in Porac where additional pregnant women were being housed.
