A candidate for the Georgia House is accused of exposing himself to a child who was walking to a bus stop in Smyrna, according to a Cobb County arrest warrant.
Andre Lamar Stafford, who is running to represent House District 42, is charged in the warrant with felony child molestation and misdemeanor public indecency.
The warrant alleges that a man in a gray sedan pulled up beside the child on Oct. 15, told her she was pretty, and touched himself after exposing himself. The driver then left the area, according to the warrant.

▫️DeSoto County man faces 61 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material
A DeSoto County man faces 63 felony charges after a months-long investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office identified the man as Eugene Sampson.
Detectives began investigating in June after another law enforcement agency contacted the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office about a child sexual abuse material case, the agency said. Detectives later confirmed Sampson lived in DeSoto County and assumed the investigation.
Detectives executed a warrant at Sampson’s home Oct. 27 and arrested him, the sheriff’s office said.
Sampson is charged with 61 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office did not release Sampson’s bond amount, jail status or court date.

▫️Grove Hill Man Sentenced to Over Twelve Years in Prison for Distributing Computer-Generated Child Pornography
MOBILE, AL – Chandler Broderick, 27, was sentenced today to 151 months in prison for distributing obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children. Broderick pleaded guilty to the offense on July 27, 2026.
In August 2024, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) received an anonymous tip alleging that Broderick was harassing minors online. FBI agents obtained the contents of Broderick’s online accounts and discovered that he had sent computer-generated, obscene cartoon images depicting the sexual abuse of children to minors.
United States District Chief Judge Jeffrey U. Beaverstock sentenced Broderick to 151 months in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release. During his term of imprisonment, Broderick will be required to participate in sex offender treatment and mental health treatment. Upon his release, he will be required to register as a sex offender and will be prohibited from having contact with minors. Broderick was also ordered to pay $200 in special assessments.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A man who pleaded no contest to child abuse was sentenced in Sarpy County District Court on Monday.
Brian Ward, 41, also faced eight other charges, including sexual assault of a child, but they were dismissed.
Ward was sentenced to 600 days in jail and given 165 days’ credit for time served.

▫️Alexander brothers each get 30 years in prison for sex trafficking
NEW YORK – The Alexander brothers, two of whom were once among the US’ top luxury real estate brokers, were each given 30 years in prison for using their wealth and glamorous lifestyles to traffic women for sex.
Oren and Tal Alexander and their non-broker brother Alon were sentenced on Oct 27 by US District Judge Valerie Caproni. The three were convicted in March of sex trafficking and other charges after a five-week trial in which a number of their victims testified.
Caproni told the brothers: “Your conduct was monstrous.”
Tal, 40, and Oren and Alon, both 39, maintained grim expressions during the sentencing but otherwise had little reaction. The prison terms, while lengthy, were less than the life behind bars prosecutors sought. Lawyers for the brothers told the judge they would appeal.
The prosecution was one of the highest-profile sex-trafficking cases to go to trial in recent years.

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Chicago man has been found guilty of prostituting a 15-year-old girl in a Terre Haute motel in 2022.
According to the Southern District of Indiana’s United States Attorney’s Office, in 2022, Vigo County dispatch received an emergency text message reporting a 15-year-old female was being prostituted by a 28-year-old man at the Super 8 Motel in Terre Haute.
Officials said that as Terre Haute Police Department officers arrived at the motel, they located the juvenile victim in a room with Jacquez Brown, of Chicago.

TYLER, Texas — An investigation into the alleged prostitution and human trafficking at a Tyler spa led to the arrest of two people earlier this month, after a woman told law enforcement she was forced to provide sexual services to clients.
Arrest records from Smith County detail that investigators were tipped off in September that Lingfeng Wu, 41, and Chunfeng Zhang, 41, were prostituting woman at T Spa at 1266 Highway 31 West in Tyler from an unidentified woman in Arkansas.
Further investigation found that a woman under the pseudonym “Luna” had been introduced to Wu through an online chat room to work at what she believed to be a legitimate massage parlor in Tyler. Luna then flew from Hong Kong to the United States.

Bay County, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A four-day multi-agency undercover operation in Bay County has led to the arrest of 14 people accused of crimes targeting children, authorities announced.
The sting, dubbed “Monster Mash,” ran from Oct. 21 through Oct. 24. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, Homeland Security, and the Panama City Police Department to target online predators and individuals involved in the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Midlands church daycare worker is out on bond after deputies charged him in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 34-year-old Zachary Turnage was arrested on Oct. 10 and charged with second-degree assault and battery as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Trinidad and Tobago is recording progress in its fight against human trafficking, with authorities initiating 13 sex trafficking cases this year, compared with 11 in 2025.
According to Principal Deputy Director of the Department of State's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Rachel Poynter, the increase in prosecutions, along with the conviction of a former police officer for human trafficking, demonstrates the country’s efforts to hold offenders accountable.
"Trinidad and Tobago increased trafficking prosecutions, initiating 13 sex trafficking cases, up from 11 the year before. A former police officer was convicted and sentenced to over 16 years' imprisonment for human trafficking and that outcome sends a clear and important signal that no one is above the law."
Ms Poynter highlighted that two suspects were charged with 29 offences in May, when Preventive Detention Orders (PDOs) were used against a trafficking operation for the first time. In August, the Counter Trafficking Unit (CTU) conducted its first operation in Tobago, resulting in charges against three people.
Speaking at the opening of a Human Trafficking Investigative Training Workshop on Tuesday, she said growing links between human trafficking, organised crime and transnational criminal networks have made international cooperation, intelligence-sharing and coordinated enforcement more critical than ever.

A 24-year-old Nigerian woman has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment with hard labour for human trafficking after a trial at the Gender-Based Violence Court in Tamale.
Mariam Yussif was convicted on October 22, 2026, following a police investigation into the alleged recruitment and movement of victims from Nigeria to Ghana for sexual exploitation.
The Northern Regional Police Command said Yussif and her 22-year-old sister, Precious Clement, were arrested at Yendi on August 17, 2026, over their alleged involvement in the operation.

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have arrested a suspect in the illegal recruitment and qualified human trafficking of 30 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who were allegedly forced into scam operations in Cambodia, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced Friday.
In a statement, the DMW said three OFW-complainants identified the suspect as the one who offered them bogus jobs abroad and brought them to scam hubs in Cambodia.
The NBI International Airport Investigation Division (NBI-IAID) arrested the suspect in Pasay City on October 11.

The Nigerian Navy Beecroft and maritime stakeholders in Apapa, Lagos, have called for stronger collaboration among security agencies, businesses and host communities to tackle drug trafficking, illegal migration, child abuse and other criminal activities in Lagos waterways and port communities during the festive season and ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Commander of Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu, made the call on Wednesday at a maritime stakeholders’ meeting held at the naval base in Apapa.

▫️Nigeria Trafficking Map (II): 696 Girls In Domestic Labour As Overseas Forced Labour Hits 2,502
Data obtained from the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) show sharp changes in the number of victims recorded across several trafficking categories in 2025. Victims of trafficking for cybercrime fell from 375 in 2024 to 21, while female victims of child domestic labour rose from 145 to 696. Victims of forced labour outside Nigeria reached 2,502, more than 2.5 times the previous record of 963.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, sitting in Kuje, Abuja, has adjourned the hearing of a motion on notice seeking bail for Ofem Omini, a teacher accused in a sexual abuse case involving a five-year-old girl, to November 10, 2026.
Justice Chinyere Elewa Nwecheonwu fixed the date during proceedings on Wednesday.
The case involves allegations relating to a five-year-old girl at Cherry Field Nursery and Primary School, Gwarimpa, Abuja.

▫️Troops Foil Kidnap Attempt On Benue Road, Rescue Two
Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have rescued two people from suspected kidnappers along the Naka-Ahume Road in Benue State.
The troops reportedly ran into the suspected kidnappers on October 24 while on patrol along the road, as the suspects attempted to abduct motorists and other road users.
The soldiers engaged the suspects in a gunfight, forcing them to abandon the victims and flee, according to a statement issued by the task force on Sunday.

▫️Trafficking: Activist raises alarm as more Benue girls are rescued
An activist, Sughnen Yaaya, has raised the alarm over the increasing cases of human trafficking involving Benue girls and underage children, lamenting that the number of victims continues to rise despite efforts to curb the menace.
Yaaya had disclosed in September that 573 Benue girls were intercepted and rescued from traffickers between March and September 2026, and 103 others returned to Nigeria from foreign countries within the same period.
