▫️Two suspects indicted for running human trafficking network in Haifa, Kiryat Shmona
The indictment came at the culmination of a year-long undercover investigation that began in July of 2025, after suspicion arose regarding the suspects using social media to recruit victims.
Indictments were filed in the Haifa Magistrate's Court against two main suspects, a man and a woman, accused of running a human trafficking network in Haifa and Kiryat Shmona on Friday.
The indictment came at the culmination of a year-long undercover investigation that began in July of 2025, after suspicion arose regarding the suspects using social media to recruit victims.
The investigation found that the suspects lured victims in with false promises of office jobs. Multiple suspects, including the main suspects, were arrested on June 7 on charges of human trafficking, pimping under aggravated circumstances, and extortion through threats.

▫️Greece: 7 held in Athens sex trafficking crackdown
A crackdown intended to locate and free sex trafficking victims in Athens has led to the arrest of seven women for allegedly reopening brothels that had been ordered to shut and breaching immigration laws, police said Friday.
Police said officers found that three brothels that had been shut down by municipal authorities for unspecified infringements were found to have been illegally reopened. They will now be closed down once again.

▫️Thailand: Court jails eight for illegal surrogacy
The Criminal Court has sentenced four obstetricians and four brokers to prison terms of up to 15 years for their roles in a transnational commercial surrogacy network, ruling that they treated the human body as a commodity and deliberately circumvented the law.
The case stemmed from a 2020 investigation by the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, which dismantled a surrogacy network allegedly financed by Chinese national Ran Zhao. The syndicate recruited Thai women to become surrogate mothers or sell their eggs for in-vitro fertilisation.
Investigators said the women were paid 400,000-450,000 baht each and taken to Laos and Cambodia for embryo implantation to circumvent Thailand's ban on commercial surrogacy.

Ali Namjo, 36, from Clase, Swansea, has been sentenced to 16 years for sexually assaulting a child.
Namjo denied two counts of assaulting a child by penetration and common assault but was found guilty following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court in March 2026. He was sentenced at the same court on Monday, June 29.

▫️Surgeon raped and choked women he met online
A trainee surgeon has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted at a retrial for raping two women in North Devon and Cornwall. Salil Korambayil was jailed by Judge Simon Carr after being found guilty on three counts of rape.
Korambayil, aged 34, of Redhill in Surrey, attacked and raped the two victims in their own homes after meeting them on social media. He was previously convicted by a jury after denying three counts of rape, at Truro Crown Court in November 2023.

▫️Teaching assistant arrested in pupil grooming investigation
The man was arrested on Thursday morning after Greater Manchester Police (GMP) was made aware of "inappropriate communication" with a schoolgirl.

Convicted Rochdale grooming gang ringleader Shabir Ahmed, who was jailed in 2012 for multiple child offences has been released from prison on licence, triggering outrage and renewed calls for his deportation to Pakistan.

A “fully independent investigation” is needed following further revelations concerning disgraced former leader Jeffrey Donaldson, the Alliance leader has said.
Naomi Long said transparency is needed around the actions of members of the DUP leadership in relation to other alleged victims of Donaldson’s “predatory behaviour”.
Donaldson is in custody awaiting sentencing after being convicted last week of serious sexual offences against children. On Monday, a jury of seven men and five women at Newry Crown Court unanimously found the 63-year-old guilty of 18 sexual offences, including one count of rape, against two women when they were children.

A man and a woman facing multiple criminal charges have been banned from We'koqma'q First Nation on Cape Breton Island.
On June 26, RCMP charged Hubert Matthews, 63, and Harriet Battiste, 61, of West Bay Centre, about 25 kilometres northeast of Port Hawkesbury, N.S. Matthews has been charged with sex trafficking, material benefit from sexual services, drug trafficking and multiple firearms and weapons offences.
Battiste has been charged with drug trafficking and multiple firearms and weapons offences. Police say the charges are the result of a year-long investigation into allegations people were being lured with drugs and enticed to have sex with other people who were paying for that service.

▫️A former Texas teacher sentenced to 33 years for sexually abusing a 13-year-old student
A Webb County jury has sentenced Adriana Rullan, 30, to 33 years in prison after finding her guilty of continued sexual abuse of a minor under 14.
The jury also sentenced her to 10 years for indecent acts with a minor through sexual contact and 13 years for maintaining one relationship inappropriate between an educator and a student. Rullan has also been fined $20,000.

▫️Des Moines man pleads guilty to human trafficking, faces up to 67 years in prison
A Des Moines man faces nearly seven decades in prison after he pleaded guilty Monday to human trafficking and other various charges. The Polk County Attorney's Office said Bryce Alan McNeil, 27, faces up to 67 years in prison with a minimum of 17.5 years before he is eligible for parole.
McNeil brought two victims from out of state to Des Moines, where trafficking and abuse took place. The victims were unable to leave. He faces a 10-year sex offender registry requirement as well as additional fines and fees. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 23.

A federal jury convicted a Petersburg man of trafficking minors for sex. He faces life in prison in December.
A jury found 36-year-old Marcus Keon Ruffin guilty July 2, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Ruffin could face life in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 16.
Ruffin was convicted on one count each of sex trafficking children, sex trafficking by fraud or coercion, transporting a minor for prostitution, production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

▫️Missing Los Angeles County teen may be human trafficking victim
Detectives and family members on Thursday asked the public for help in their search for an 18-year-old woman believed to be a victim of human trafficking in Los Angeles County.
Kamil Blaze has not been seen or heard from since she disappeared in Palmdale more than four months ago, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Her last known location was in the 73000 block of Patricia Lane on Sunday, March 1. “Ms. Blaze may be a victim of human trafficking and is possibly in the downtown Los Angeles area,” the Sheriff’s Department said Thursday. “Her loved ones are concerned for her well-being and are asking for your help.”

NASHVILLE – Camilo Campos-Hurtado, 66, of Franklin, Tennessee, was sentenced today to a total term of 360 months (30 years) in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release, for sexually exploiting children, receiving child sexual abuse material, and possessing fraudulent immigration and identification documents, announced Braden H. Boucek, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Raymond Oscar Harlen is accused of sexually grooming a child, sexual indecency with a child, sexual extortion, grooming a minor for future sex trafficking, terroristic threatening in the first degree, and use of a communication device.
The victim’s mother first contacted authorities on May 18, according to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas. She told officers that her 10-year-old daughter was receiving text messages on her personal cellphone from an unknown man in Texas.

Christopher Martin Reynolds, of Browns Mills, NJ, was taken into custody by Bucks County Detectives in Bensalem Township. The arrest was the result of a coordinated, multi-agency proactive enforcement detail targeting human trafficking and child exploitation.
Reynolds was arraigned Thursday morning by Magisterial District Judge Michael W. Gallagher and is currently held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $5 million bail. He faces nine felony charges, including: criminal attempt to engage or perform a commercial sex act with a minor, criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault, criminal attempt to commit trafficking in individuals, criminal attempt to commit indecent sexual assault with a person less than 13, criminal attempt to commit corruption of minors, and four counts of unlawful contact with a minor.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cedar Rapids Police Department has arrested 14 people since January as part of its ongoing decoy child exploitation prevention efforts, it shared Thursday.
The department says investigators pose as minor on the internet, and individuals will solicit the accounts. The suspect agrees to meet the decoy in person and pay for sexual acts or materials. That’s when they are confronted by officers.
Criminal Investigation Division Supervisor Lieutenant Tony Robinson said the arrests represent hours of dedication to catching child predators, and show the necessity for parents to monitor their children’s online activity.

According to BSO, the seven suspects arrested face charges that include human trafficking of a minor, traveling to meet a minor, solicitation of a minor, possession of MDMA and violation of probation.

The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant Tuesday morning at a home in Hamden, Ohio. Sixteen children ranging in age from 1.5 to 18 years were found inside the home in what officials described as “deplorable” conditions. Seven were taken to hospitals, including one who was in critical condition, investigators said. Their current conditions weren't immediately known Thursday.
“Conditions you cannot even imagine people being in, let alone children living in,” said Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson at a Tuesday evening news conference. Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson said the evidence in the case is "beyond comprehension."

▫️Morocco: Dozens of suspected victims identified in northern Morocco human trafficking case
Authorities believe the number of alleged victims may reach dozens, many of them teenage girls and minors.
Moroccan investigators are expanding a human trafficking investigation in the northern city of Ksar El Kebir that authorities believe involved the sexual exploitation of dozens of girls, including minors, according to sources familiar with the case.
Five suspects, a man, his wife and three other individuals, remain in custody and are being prosecuted on human trafficking charges before the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal in Tangier, the sources told Hespress.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities expect additional developments as forensic examinations of mobile phones seized during searches of the main suspect’s residence continue.
Sources said many of the alleged victims have not filed formal complaints because they fear social stigma and public exposure in the conservative town. According to investigators, the suspects allegedly recruited victims from middle and high schools in Ksar El Kebir following several days of surveillance.

A young babysitter was arrested in Portimão, suspected of twenty counts of sexual abuse against two children. The Judicial Police revealed that the abuses were recorded and that the suspect manipulated the victims with sweets to ensure their silence.
A 19-year-old male babysitter has been arrested in Portimão on suspicion of sexually abusing two young children while living with their family, Portugal’s PJ police have announced.
The suspect is alleged to have committed 20 offences of child sexual abuse between May and June 24 while working as a full-time babysitter for the family.

▫️French sexual assault victim convicted for saying Black and Arab immigrant men are main threat to women
French activist Thaïs d’Escufon has vowed to appeal her latest conviction after a court fined her €1,000 over comments linking immigration to violence against women, while dropping the possibility of a prison sentence.
D’Escufon, who says she was sexually assaulted by a Tunisian migrant in 2022, revealed the outcome in a video message to supporters, describing the ruling as a significant reduction from the punishment she had been facing. “I went from facing four months in prison to receiving a €1,000 fine,” she said.
The activist had been prosecuted over statements in which she argued that “the main threat to women in France comes from black and Arab immigrant men.” According to d’Escufon, prosecutors sought a four-month custodial sentence over those remarks.

A 14 years old.Congolese migrant has been charged with the stabbing and attempted rape of a 22-year-old woman, the prosecutor in Saint-Brieuc announced on Wednesday.
The young woman was exercising in a wooded area of Saint-Brieuc on June 15 “when a male individual approached her and ordered her to undress, which she refused to do,” prosecutor Julien Wattebled said in a press release. The young boy then stabbed her twice, once in the arm and once in the abdomen, before fleeing, according to French news outlet Le Figaro.

More than 100 Dutch girls and young women are thought to have been forced to work as prostitutes in Belgium and Germany in recent years, according to research by the centre for human trafficking (CKM).
Every year, dozens of children and young people from the Netherlands are sexually exploited in Belgium, according to research by the Dutch Centre Against Child and Human Trafficking (CKM).
A few years ago, the CKM received a report suggesting that young women from a care home in the Netherlands were possibly being sexually exploited in Germany. A wider enquiry among various organisations led to further reports that victims from the Netherlands were also being exploited in Germany and Belgium. “As a result we investigated this cross-border exploitation for the first time,” explains CKM researcher Verena Elders. “We know that many children are exploited within the Netherlands. Unfortunately, there is no reason to believe that their exploitation stops at the country’s borders.”
Elders conducted a survey of 220 support workers, police officers, survivors and other professionals from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and carried out in-depth interviews with several of them. The CKM concludes that, over a two-year period, those surveyed came into contact with an estimated minimum of 125 victims, 99 of whom were exploited in Belgium and 26 in Germany.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” says Wieke van der Kroef, director of the Flemish and Antwerp-based non-profit organisation Payoke, which has been working on the issue of human trafficking for many years.

▫️Vlissingen soccer coach (63) denies abusing a minor: 'Sexually suggestive text messages were just our sense of humor'
A four-year prison sentence, one year of which is suspended, has been sought against a 63-year-old man from Vlissingen for sexually abusing a girl on the soccer team he coached. The abuse is alleged to have taken place between 2014 and 2018. The woman, now 27, filed a police report against the man in 2024, which led to a criminal trial. The defendant denied the abuse today in the Middelburg court.
The woman stated that she does not so much want the defendant to be punished as she does to see him stopped. “I’m not out for revenge. I’m broken and want a small measure of justice. I hope that one day you’ll realize what you’ve destroyed and that you’ll never do this to others again.”

▫️Two arrested for separate attacks on women riding their bikes
Dutch police have arrested one man and a teenager in connection with separate incidents involving young women on bikes.
In the first case, a 17-year-old youth from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht near Rotterdam has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out nine attacks on women in his home town and nearby Zwijndrecht.
The teenager, who used a fatbike, is said to have knocked the women from their two-wheelers and sexually assaulted them.
Meanwhile in Venlo police have arrested a man who is suspected of attacking two women in Utrecht last week. The arrest was made after photos of the man were circulated on a television crime show.
The man is said to have dragged the women from their bikes and attacked them. Both the Utrecht incidents happened last Thursday night at around 2 am in the city centre and both women appear to have been chosen at random, police said.
