One of the biggest rules we break in nourishment regarding the food component of nourishment is eating when not hungry. Most humans don’t know what hunger is because we’ve reduced food to a cause or cure, over analyze every morsel and ingredient to not get sick, flare up or die and have completely lost the ritualistic enjoyment of taste, flavor, breaking bread and sharing and the artistic preparation and canvas of the kitchen and plate ware.
Being able to deny food during a state of hunger is a powerful skill, one I would suggest is visited and learned, to be used as a power and understand of the self during times of healing, struggle, injury or change.
But tonight, I had just finished my dinner when my neighbor knocked and dropped off three carne asada tacos stuffed with rice, cilantro, cheese, tomato, onion, avocado and home made shells. Staring these bad boys down as a new parent would when the stork pays a visit, I was in a pickle. Pun. Do I eat again? I’m not hungry. Is this worth it? Oh hell yes it is.
And that’s another reason of proof living in a way where understanding the body only heals, no exceptions, the rules and laws we all have to obey and the poetry of our application within the rules and laws, consistency, support and preparing, connecting and trusting builds a human experience where you can break rules, pivot, choose, slip back, own, radical responsibility and you don’t flare up or fall apart during these times.
At some point during the healing journey fragile is no longer a descriptive term. Robust and unlimited sit in the front seat. And grace, gentle and slow are woven between aggressive, awkward and forceful. Human. All of it all at once. But you will obey your body. It keeps you from lying to yourself.

Trippy to even read that. But it’s true.
The longer you take to resolve symptoms or any level of injury the better for the authentic version of you, the true you. It’s during the delays and your massive consistent efforts and changes where the deepest rewiring, wirings and understanding are taking place. It’s the effects of these efforts that can never be erased or broken, no matter the trauma or damage.
We see this with children, development. Milestones. Pathologies with delays. What’s wrong with your child because they didn’t develop at the pace of the world? Does that make sense? Delayed as much as possible is ideal.
Same with all symptoms and injuries. Delay. Take long. Deepen the efforts and changes. Intuitively your symptoms and injuries reach you how to live and why living is important for you. #1 rule broken in healing, all forms of medicine…we don’t slow down. We don’t deepen. We invent ways or stay sped up, stay fast, stay unchanged. Not realizing it’s the attempt to speed up and not change that forces the body to drive more intuition to the forefront with more symptoms and more injuries as more opportunities to learn.
Just like the late bloomer is yesterday’s post.It’s never too late. You’re designed this way. Your last breath isn’t even too late. And it’s your breath. Remember that.
Make “late bloomer” sexy and a trend. Make delayed development ideal. Not a label. The process. Get lost in the process of life and you’ll understand why symptoms and injuries are perfectly tuned right alongside your gut, intuition and authentic true north of self. | 37 |

Nothing more true than you just heal. That’s it. No questions. No doubts. No fences. You just heal.
Your intuition, symptoms and injuries all coming from the same place…pointing you towards your true north. Not Matthew Mcconqughey’s true north book of poems and prayers. Your true north. Different from everyone else’s. Your path. Never experienced. New. Foreign. Magnetic. Yours.
Because your symptoms of healing, all injuries and all intuitive responses are all coming from you, for you, uniting you with life, meaning, purpose and direction, these responses and feelings can never be a pathology, wrong, an attack.
As true as they are never against you sits another valuable certainty to be used…they can’t be cured, feared or prevented. They’re for you. A cure would be hiding the map. Prevention would be making sure you never receive the map. Your body, intuition, symptoms and injuries all leading to the treasure of self discovery, authenticity and trust.
Owning all of the above does it make any sense that life is to be lived so as to not get sick, not die, not fall, not feel? That’s where the learning and acquisition of skills sit. The trophy of symptom/injury free through the process of perfection? We’d never grow, learn, rise, elevate or root. Witnessed by perfect foods, movements, light, routines and cabinet bottles never achieving their promise.
As I said on the stage at the Weston A Price Foundation conference to lead my talk standing there with a cup full of cherry jelly belly jelly beans. You heal. That’s it. Not in the absence or avoidance of anything, not in the destination of perfection. In the process of life, living, feeling.
Your relationship with food goes deeper than ingredients. The immeasurable factors only experienced by the individual go deeper than ingredients. The preparation, connection and story behind the bites go deeper than ingredients.
True healing freedom is food freedom. Not perfection. True healing freedom isn’t defiance to the obedience of your body because YOLO so ignore it all and punish yourself. True healing freedom is understanding where this all fits. How it all fits. For you and only you. Different fr | 39 |

You can start whenever you choose. Your body is already there. It’s been nudging you towards this from the beginning.
The later you bloom the better. We don’t rush childhood. We don’t rush healing. We don’t rush finding yourself. True north. Your voice. Your intuitive magnetic draw towards that something. Your symptoms and injuries and body responses your whole life were along side your intuition. They’re coming from the same source and carry the same message.
We have a tendency to lose communication with that voice when we rush. When we please the lot. When we stay quiet. When we disconnect and numb that voice inside. With every cold, slip, fall, lab value, doctors visit, and the every season of struggle, slow, muddy times…that voice was speaking up clearest. It was our most intuitive times. But we split. We fixed. We sped through. We distracted. We prevented that voice. We spent a lifetime trying to cure that voice. Trying to detox that voice. It’s never too late.
What draws you in? What gives you wings? How are your symptoms and injuries a part of those things? How are you using them to get closer to finding the steps to your true north? Intuition, passion, gifts, voices, symptoms and injuries are all the same family…for you. Not for the show. Not for the stage. Not for the comfort. For the home.

How uncomfortable are you going or have to get? To change? To reinvent? To become completely recognizable? To leave? To grow? To stay?
How consistent will you have to be? How relentless and gritty? How passionate? How single minded focused? How internally driven? Internally guided? No plan B? No ships at the shoreline in case change doesn’t work out?
You’ve already done it before. You’ve done more just going from infancy to adulthood to prove to yourself you can literally do anything. Hats the cost of that change? You willing to pay in? All in? You’ve done it before.
Only blessing as an adult is support is limited. Few clapping every time you fail to take a step. Still internally motivated, driven and guided. More stories to unlearn and sift through but that’s the beauty. More systems and methods that won’t get it but that’s what makes it worth it even more.
Symptoms and injuries are part of reinvention. They are your intuition. They are as perfect as that voice inside. It’s all coming from the same place for the same reasons. The cost of reinvention is great. But the payout is greater and you’ve already done it before. And many times over. That’s why we revisit stages of development with every symptom and injury. You’re in it.
You chose this. You’re equipped for it all. You already have everything you need for any level of healing, understanding and change in your own life right now. You’re designed for traumas, perfectly. You’re designed for failure. Perfectly. You’re designed for toxins. Perfectly. You’re designed for technology. Perfectly. You’re designed for any level of food. Perfectly. You’re designed for any version of a relationship. Perfectly. You’re designed for stress, pressure, service, challenges, love, admiration, creativity and peace.
You’re designed for all of it already right now. If you can feel it it’s for you to use. If you can feel it it’s healthy. If you can feel it it’s yours. If you can feel it it’s impossible for it to be against you or pathological.
Use it all. Don’t waste any of it. It’s all here for you on purpose.
You can change at any time. It costs more work, time and energy to give somebody else permission to change you or to try to not change than it does to actually face it all. Remember that. If you don’t believe that statement, challenge it. Try to prove it wrong. You’re designed to try to prove shit wrong. Your body will tell you the truth. Always.
You are the chrysalis. You already have wings. You will rediscover sets of wings thousands of times in a lifetime. If you choose. If not, the chrysalis is still always there. | 46 |

| 13 | This is a hard pill to swallow when it comes to healing. And first thing in the morning I like to drop puns.
Your body only heals. No exceptions. Not one exception is against you or a time of pathology or being off or wrong. If you can sense it and feel it and experience it then it is for you. For a reason. A good reason. Never a punishment. Never a curse or bad hand.
Of course we want the healing responses of growth, strength, confidence, trust, thick skin, courage, thick hair, capacity for endless options, exploration and adventure, deep sleep and dreams, understanding, fatigue less, creative, and brave. And all attached to those healing responses. But we never want to experience or try to avoid with all our energy and might feelings of weakness, being slow, large, swollen, hair thin and falling out, doubt, resentment, anger, fear, inflamed, skin painted with rashes sores and growths, numbness, reduced to a bed or chair, no walking, two foods, limited sun, interrupted sleep, nightmares, sensitive, alone, different, misunderstood, betrayed, abandoned, guilty, ashamed, hopeless and labeled.
It’s all healing. One continuum. There’s not a healthy version and a sick version. There’s just you. Your life. Healthy isn’t absence of the inconvenient, bad or body responses we don’t like. Sick is man made word for anyone who doesn’t respond to life like everyone else. Imagine judging a theater of people to the ones who didn’t have an experience like the rest were wrong, cursed, unhealthy or pathological and sick? Doesn’t work there and it doesn’t work in the theater of life as we all watch the same movie.
You use the healing response and injuries. You don’t avoid them, numb them, prevent them or cure them. Your injuries and symptoms and intuitive, the highest level of consciousness, the guide leading to more, safety, yours, and only yours, for you. Not against.
It’s a package deal. You want one you get it all. That’s the point.

Every case starts at muscle for a reason. This isn’t trendy. It’s not popular. It’s not random. And it’s not easy. But it is essential.
No matter how strong you get muscle one can still be brought to their knees or uplifted above the clouds proving to self there’s more that affects muscle than just staying strong. These areas of life are available to be seen, evaluated and changed. Muscle first.
The only conscious tissue you can control. Muscle. There’s a reason for this. Your connection to muscle goes deeper than the size and amount. Your relationship to how you acquire it goes deeper than the programs, reps and sets. “I train to prevent cancer, prevent abuse or prevent dying,” is a different story than “I train to taste, connect, nourish and prepare myself to experience life at whatever level I choose for as long as I choose.” Your relationship goes deeper than ingredients. Same with food, light and sleep…the low hanging fruit.
Muscle is the sharpening of the axe, the forging of the axe, the use of the axe, the axe, the tree, the use of the wood afterwards and the maintenance to the use of the wood you chop down.

| 17 | With all the steps, actions and areas to focus our attention and changes on sometimes it still feels like we are somersaulting in blackness. Where to go when this occurs? Back to you. Your body. Through this will come your next steps.
Intuition to take inspired action. From what starting point? You. Your body. Always you.
Symptoms and injuries are the intuitive response. The details and finer points come later and are filled in. The body will bring in the people, items, stories leading you to something bigger than you imagined.
Your symptoms and injuries are higher consciousness. Your symptoms and injuries are aligned with the universe. They direct you towards your dream, intention. “What is the next step?” They show you.
Your body’s more energy, light, imagination, spirit, emotion, vibration, electricity, divine, quantum, universe than it is a cell, a toxin, a tissue or an organ. It’s performing and responding in ways that cannot be measured, seen, understood or copied. It predicts the future, rewrites the past. It is what mind, belief, intention, and intuition obey and work with. All woven together.
Trust in you. The starting point. Feeling blind is a certainty. Unsure. Confused. Overwhelmed. Stop. Pause. Come back to your body. Prepare to take and take the next step. Not always this glorified reason for the step. Sometimes it’s just taken. The rest fills in later. Action.
Symptoms and injuries aren’t what anyone has ever allowed you to believe. They’re bigger. They’re better. They’re perfect. How will you use them?

| 19 | Eat, sleep perfectly, perfect light, no toxins, a bleached life, gratitude for breakfast, all the gadgets but still symptomatic and injured and confused. There are reasons that run deeper than prevention and cures.
Low hanging fruit in healing: food, sun, sleep, movement. More specifically and humanly: nourishment, light, rest and training. The low hanging fruit. Are they powerful medicine? Can be. Are they a powerful medication? Of course. Look at all the specialties who prescribe systems, programs and methods and protocols within them with extensive short term results. Only to keep switching it up to the next power move within the low hanging fruit.
What if we actually used the low hanging fruit not to cure or prevent, rather to understand, support and expand or grow. Not to limit and perfect in this unsustainable impossible way of life walking on eggshells towards longevity or peace through a symptomless and injuryless existence. That’s the easy stuff. The basic. Preparing the garden for the big plant, the big harvest, the big sow.
Your relationship with nourishment, rest, light and training go deeper than food ingredients, sun exposure, reps and sets, 8 hours of sleep and movement choice. Why I spent 5 hours covering Relationships in a workshop. It’s not about romance. It’s about self first.
Take advantage of the low hanging fruit. Follow the rules. Obedient to your body. Watch what clears and shows for you to truly see where work needs to be done. Don’t add to the deeper work by having a poor relationship with food, sun, sleep and movement.
