On 26–27 June, Pope Leo XIV will gather with the College of Cardinals for an Extraordinary Consistory ahead of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. Together, they will reflect on the challenges facing our world and how the Church can help foster peace, reconciliation, and hope. Let us keep Pope Leo XIV and the Cardinals in our prayers during these days of discernment. May the Holy Spirit guide them with wisdom and courage as they seek to lead the Church and be instruments of Christ's peace in a world that longs for healing. πŸ™

Fr Paul Staes was known to many as a spiritual director, a mentor, and even the familiar Friday evening bartender at Crossings CafΓ©. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and at home. Being with people brought him great joy, and many have encountered not just a priest but a friend who listened, cared, and journeyed alongside them. Yet Fr Paul’s impact extended far beyond what many saw. Through his compassionate heart, gentle guidance, and faithful service, he touched and transformed countless lives in ways both visible and unseen. As we remember his life and legacy, may we give thanks for the gift he was to our community, keep him in our prayers, and entrust him to the loving embrace of God. May his soul rest in peace. πŸ™ πŸ“– Read more

It's hard not to notice it. Engagement announcements, wedding photos, pregnancy reveals, family milestones β€” every scroll seems to be a reminder that everyone else is moving forward while you're still waiting. Waiting can be one of the hardest things to carry, especially when the desire for marriage and family is a good one. Some days, it's easy to wonder why it hasn't happened yet or whether you've somehow been forgotten. But your relationship status is not a measure of your worth, and being single is not a problem that needs fixing. While you may not understand the reason for the wait right now, trust that God is still at work. Perhaps He is preparing you, perhaps He is preparing someone else, or perhaps He is writing a story that looks different from what you imagined. Whatever the reason, your life is not on hold. There is still beauty, purpose, and grace to be found in this season. πŸ“– Read more

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist β€” a man whose life had one purpose: to prepare the way for Christ. Long before Jesus began His public ministry, John faithfully pointed others toward the One who was to come, reminding us that every part of God's plan unfolds in His perfect timing. As we honour St. John the Baptist today, may we also remember that God works through ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. Like John, may we trust in God's providence, embrace the mission He has entrusted to us, and always point others toward Jesus. For a life lived for Christ, no matter how hidden, is never wasted. πŸ“– Read more

How can someone forgive a person who has cheated? Does forgiveness mean simply overlooking the hurt and allowing them to carry on as though nothing happened? Forgiveness is often misunderstood. It doesn't excuse wrongdoing or erase the pain. But it does recognise that no one should be defined by their worst mistake. Betrayal is real, but so is the truth that every one of us is capable of failure. The Christian call is not to deny justice, but to choose love. To seek understanding instead of bitterness. To forgive not because it is deserved, but because God first forgave us. Forgiveness does not mean there are no consequences. It means trusting that God is a God of justice and that He sees every hurt, every betrayal, and every wrong. We don't have to carry the burden of revenge or resentment because justice ultimately belongs to Him. No one is beyond moral failure, and no one is beyond God's grace. The standard is high, but it is the same mercy God extends to each of us.

In a world filled with distractions, one of the greatest gifts a father can give his children is his presence. Long after the promotions, achievements, and possessions fade, children will remember the dad who made time for them β€” the one who listened, played, encouraged, and simply showed up. This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers who choose to be present. The ones who understand that their attention, love, and involvement matter more than they know. Because while childhood is fleeting, the impact of a father's presence lasts a lifetime. One day, their children may forget many things, but they will never forget how deeply they were loved. ❀️ πŸ“– Read more

Jesus was unlike anyone the world had ever seen. While rulers sought power and status, He knelt to wash the feet of His disciples β€” a task reserved for servants. In doing so, He showed that true greatness is found not in being served, but in serving others with humility and love. That same love was lived out by the early Christians during times of plague and persecution. While many fled, they stayed to care for the sick, feed the hungry, and love even their enemies. Their courage and compassion pointed people to a different kind of King β€” one whose power was revealed through selfless love. ❀️ πŸ“– Read more

Renato had always relied on logic, hard work, and planning to navigate life. Even after his cancer diagnosis, he focused on the practical to cope with the fear and uncertainty. Yet through a line from the Hail Mary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, he encountered God's mercy in a profound way. He realised he was not alone in his suffering and that death was not the end. This encounter opened his heart to God and led him to begin his RCIA journey. πŸ“– Read his full testimony: https://buff.ly/IsldciN β›ͺ️ Interested in the faith? Home is rarely perfect. For some, it is a place of warmth and belonging. For others, it is a place marked by tensions, heavy responsibilities, or wounds that may or may not be healing. Regardless of what our circumstances at home may be, it is precisely in these realities that God desires to meet us. Our homes, whether a house, flat, dorm, hostel, or rented room, are not coincidences. It is where God has intentionally placed us and desires to meet us. Where we live is an invitation from God to both seek Him and to help others to find Him. Not every day at work feels meaningful. Some days are exciting and fulfilling. Other days, you're simply trying to get through your inbox, meet deadlines, and make it to the end of the day. In the busyness of life, it's easy to see work as just another thing to check off our list. We can start measuring its value only by promotions, achievements, or visible results. But purpose isn't found only in the big moments. Often, it's hidden in the ordinary β€” replying to that email with patience, caring for your family, studying for an exam, or showing up for someone who needs you. When we approach our work with purpose and love, even the most routine responsibilities can shape us into more patient, generous, and faithful people. πŸ“– Read more Have you ever felt a quiet stirring in your heart, a desire to serve, to give, to build the kingdom of God with your life? πŸ’Ό Explore career opportunities here

Today, we unite our hearts in prayer for the power of sports to bring people together in a world that is often divided. Beyond competition and achievement, sports remind us of our shared humanity β€” teaching us respect, teamwork, perseverance, and the beauty of journeying alongside one another. Let us pray that the values nurtured through sports may become bridges of encounter and dialogue among peoples and nations. May they help us build a culture of solidarity, where unity, friendship, and peace prevail in every corner of the world.

The news of the reshuffling of priests in Singapore has been announced. This pastoral renewal, guided by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, will see Singapore’s 133 priests regularly rotated across its 32 parishes. It is only natural that we grow attached to our priests β€” to their presence among us, their preaching, their care in difficult seasons, and the friendships formed over time. We may feel the weight of goodbye more deeply than we expect. And yet, in the sacraments, it has always been Christ who draws near to us and meets us where we are. The priest is a vessel of His grace, acting in persona Christi. As St Paul reminds us, β€œI planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6). As we welcome new priests and let go of familiar ones, we are gently invited to trust again: that it is always God who remains at work among His people, quietly and faithfully giving the growth we need. πŸ“– Read more

Michael was angry with God. After years of longing for a child, he and his wife finally welcomed a baby girl in the eleventh year of their marriage. But just three months later, his wife fell seriously ill and passed away within a week. Heartbroken and overwhelmed, he struggled to understand why a loving God would allow such suffering and wondered how he would raise their daughter alone. Yet in the midst of his grief, God began to draw near. During visits to church grottos, Michael found a quiet sense of peace even though his questions remained unanswered. Over time, he felt Our Lady of Sorrows inviting him to trust the Lord, and one morning, he awoke to a voice saying, β€œTrust Me.” Michael slowly surrendered his grief to God and began a journey of healing. The pain did not disappear, and there were still unanswered questions and moments when the burden felt too heavy. Yet his story reminds us that we are never meant to carry our crosses alone. πŸ“– Read more

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year. The past six months may have brought both joys and challenges, answered prayers and unanswered ones. Wherever you find yourself today, take a moment to pause. We can get so caught up in the rat race of life, moving from one goal to the next, chasing success, recognition, and achievement, that we rarely stop to ask ourselves: What am I living for? As we enter the second half of the year, maybe the invitation is not to do more, but to reflect more deeply: πŸ‘‰πŸΌAm I becoming the person God created me to be? πŸ‘‰πŸΌAm I living according to His will, or simply following the expectations of the world? May we have the courage to slow down, listen to His voice, and allow Him to lead us where He wants us to go. πŸ“– Read more
