When Lawrence's daughter was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, his world came crashing down. In the depths of his grief, he cried out, "Where are You, Lord? Do You hear me? Why must this happen? Why me?" As he watched his beloved daughter slip away, his heart became consumed with sorrow, anger, and questions that seemed to have no answers. Yet God had not abandoned him. Through the quiet refuge of CER, pilgrimages to Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje, and the grace of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Lawrence slowly encountered a love that met him even in his anger. Healing did not come overnight, but little by little, Christ softened the wounds that grief had hardened. Today, his story is a gentle reminder that God is not afraid of our questions, our tears, or even our anger. He meets us there, walks with us through the darkness, and patiently leads us toward hope, healing, and the quiet assurance that we are deeply loved. 📖 Read more

In an age where everything can be shared in an instant, we've grown used to documenting every joy, disappointment, milestone, and heartbreak. While there's beauty in letting others into our lives, not every moment needs to be shared the moment it happens. Some seasons are meant to be lived before they're told. Some moments need silence. Some need prayer. Some need time for us to sit with God and allow Him to reveal what He's doing in our hearts before we invite everyone else into the story. Before asking, "𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?" perhaps ask, "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵?" Sometimes we're so eager to share that we forget to bring it to God first. Yet it is often in the silence, as we pray and wrestle with Him, that clarity begins to emerge. Maybe today, instead of reaching for your phone first, reach for God. Some of the deepest healing, wisdom, and peace are found in His presence before they're ever shared with anyone else.

As a non-Catholic in a Catholic school, Simone noticed that her Catholic schoolmates were grounded and happy, kind and caring; they had a wider vision and were not afraid of challenges. This made her want to find out more, and eventually she was baptised as a young adult. ‘Even at school, we can “come home” to ourselves in this sacred space and experience the deep love of our heavenly Father.’ It’s time for the annual P1 registration exercise! Give your child the gift of a holistic education, a safe space to grow, and the opportunity to encounter their best Friend — Jesus! Enrol your child in a Catholic school! For Catholic families, Phase 2B runs from 𝐌𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐥, 𝟗𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐮𝐞 𝟐𝟏 𝐉𝐮𝐥, 𝟒.𝟑𝟎𝐩𝐦. Simply submit one parent's baptism certificate as proof of Church membership. May the Lord bless and guide all our families registering their children for P1! 🙏🏼 Read Simone’s full story For more details about the P1 registration exercise, visit the ACCS website

As Singapore celebrates Youth Day today, we give thanks for the gift, hope, and joy that young people bring to our world and our Church. Wherever you are on your journey, may these words from Christus Vivit remind you that your youth is not just a season to be lived—it is a gift to be embraced. May they inspire you to dream boldly, love generously, and go forth to bear lasting fruit for God and for those around you. Happy Youth Day! 💛

In life, we often find ourselves carrying heavy burdens, weighed down by the struggles and challenges that surround us. Even when the weight feels overwhelming, we can find solace in knowing that we are not abandoned. It takes courage to face our battles, acknowledge our weaknesses, and find strength amidst the darkness that surrounds us. In moments of weariness, allow Christ's strength to sustain you. Let Him bear your burdens alongside you. Remember, you are not alone on this journey. You are deeply loved. Take each step with Christ by your side, one at a time, and discover the courage and strength that resides within you. 📖 Read more

Did you know that some of the saints loved playing soccer too? ⚽️ For them, the game was more than just competition — it was a place to grow in friendship, discipline, perseverance, and virtue. Whether on the field or in everyday life, they understood that true victory isn't measured by trophies, but by the way we love, serve, and become more like Christ. As you cheer for your favourite team this World Cup, don't forget — you've got a heavenly team of saints cheering you on too. ⚽️🙏

What if doubting God isn't the opposite of faith? What if it's actually where faith begins to grow? We often think that having questions means we're not believing enough. We feel guilty for wrestling with God, wondering where He is, or struggling to understand His plans. But doubt doesn't always mean we're turning away from Him, it can also mean we're searching for Him more deeply. Being doubtful doesn't mean we lack faith. It means we're human. The beautiful thing is that God isn't intimidated by our questions. He welcomes the honest heart that continues to seek Him. So if all you can pray today is, "Lord, increase my faith and help my unbelief," let that be enough. Keep seeking, keep knocking, and trust that the God who meets us in our doubts will faithfully lead us into a deeper faith. 📖 Read more

Many of us live under the same roof as our loved ones, yet rarely have the opportunity to talk about what is really going on in our hearts. Amidst work, school, caregiving responsibilities, household chores, and the busyness of everyday life, conversations can easily become about logistics rather than life itself. And sometimes, the people closest to us are carrying burdens we know nothing about. A home becomes a refuge and place of safety not because it is free from problems, but because the people within it know that they do not have to face their struggles alone. Perhaps the invitation for us is to create a place of refuge for those we’re living with: to listen more attentively, to ask one sincere question, to make room for someone to be honest. 🏠 Sacred Spaces: Our Homes is a video formation series that explores how our homes can become places of encounter with God amidst the realities of everyday life. Find out more at bit.ly/SacredSpacesHomes.

In discerning our permanent state of life, many young people hope to be 100% certain that this is what the Lord is calling them to before they make a commitment. But the truth is, in this life, we can never have absolute certainty. If we wait until every doubt disappears, we may never make a decision. That is why discernment is not simply an intellectual exercise. Our minds are important, but the intellect alone cannot give us all the answers because life is always marked by ambiguity. True discernment comes from prayer, from listening to the Holy Spirit, and from seeking God's will with a sincere heart. When you finally make your decision in faith, the Lord will grant you a deep and lasting peace. This is when you come to know your discernment is right. In time, you will also recognise the fruits of your vocation, not because it is free from difficulties, but because the grace of God is at work in you. So do not be afraid to take the next step. Trust in the Lord, and He will reveal His plan one step at a time. +William 📹 Watch the full Heart-to-Heart Conversation: “What if I Chose the Wrong Vocation?”

He recognised where each of His disciples was in their journey and developed them accordingly. He instructed, demonstrated, encouraged, challenged, and ultimately entrusted them with leadership. As leaders, do we know where the people we lead are in their development journey? Are we providing the support and what they need to take the next step forward? One of the four leadership domains explored in the Lead Like Jesus Encounter Workshop (LLJ), The Way of the Carpenter, offers a practical framework for developing people according to their stage of growth. If you would like to explore how the LLJ encounterworkshop can serve your ministry, parish, or organisation, contact the Catholic Leadership Centre or find out more at: https://bit.ly/leadlikejesus2026.

For many years, Melissa had hoped to one day serve on a mission trip alongside her husband and children. Although their first family mission was unexpectedly cut short by the rising tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border, the experience was far from incomplete. Rather than remembering what was cut short, Melissa and her family remember the generosity, faith, and openness of the people they encountered. Reminding them that, in God, we truly belong to one family. 👉 Head over to our website to read the full, heartwarming story: https://go.charis-singapore.org/cambodia-mission Illustrations generated by AI.

In a world that often measures success by status, influence, and achievement, Jesus shows us a different way. True leadership isn't about climbing over others to get ahead — it's about lifting others up, serving with humility, and choosing love over recognition. When our first question becomes, "How can I help someone else flourish?" we begin to lead with the heart of Christ. Jesus reminds us that greatness is found not in being served, but in serving. The path of servant leadership is not always easy. It calls us to deny ourselves, carry our cross, and place the good of others before our own. Yet it is in this quiet, selfless love that we reflect Christ most clearly. May we have the courage to lead not by power or position, but by compassion, humility, and a willingness to give ourselves for others. 📖 Read more

Every human life is precious — a gift from God, worthy of love, dignity, and protection from the very beginning to its natural end. This July, let us unite in prayer for the Holy Father's intention: that we may learn to recognise, respect, and protect the gift of human life in all its stages, becoming witnesses of hope and compassion in our world. ✨

Raphel never truly believed in God, nor did he ever imagine he would one day become Catholic. But when his father developed serious health problems, he found himself balancing university while becoming his father's primary source of support. In the midst of exhaustion and uncertainty, his aunt introduced him to Jesus. As he started to pray, he realised something that gave him hope and strength: He was not alone. 📖 Read his full testimony: https://buff.ly/MnYbClA ⛪️ Interested in the faith?
