This massive protective structure houses the Historical Site of Qal-e Darvish (Darvish Castle). According to the signage, this site dates all the way back to the 5th millennium to the late 2nd millennium BC!
It's incredible to see how modern engineering is being used to preserve these ancient ruins for future generations. The billboard also shows a layout of the site and examples of the pottery and artifacts found there.

Here’s the cost breakdown for shooting down one drone (military protocol = at least 2 interceptors per drone 🚨):
✈️ F-16 + APKWS rockets → ~$65,000 (2 rockets + 1 hour flight)
🤖 Coyote ground system → ~$253,000 (2 interceptors)
🚢 Ship-based SM-2 missile → ~$4.2 million (2 missiles)
🛡 Patriot PAC-3 MSE → ~$8 million (2 missiles)
But there are cheaper last-resort options:
🔫 Centurion C-RAM (ground gun) → ~$30,000 for 5 sec of firing (375 rounds) — slightly less than the drone!
🚁 Merops interceptor drone → ~$30,000 for 2 drones — actually cheaper than Iran’s drone ✅
⚠️ Biggest fear — not just the cost, but running out of interceptors entirely.
So yes, a $35k drone can force the U.S. to fire $8 million worth of missiles (and still miss). 😬
