The military says the Iran-funded, two-decade-old facility contained command centers, weapons rooms, generators, living quarters, showers and a kitchen, and was used to launch attacks.

The proposed Foreign Military Sale includes GAU-19 three-barrel machine gun launchers, M260 seven-tube launchers for 2.75-inch rockets, electro-optical/infrared sensors and missile launch detection systems.
The State Department did not specify how many helicopters Iraq is seeking to purchase.

An unverified document circulating online reportedly outlines 11 alleged Israeli demands presented to representatives of the Syrian government. The document has not been independently authenticated by major international media outlets.
The alleged demands include:
1. Opening an Israeli embassy in Damascus and a consulate in Aleppo.
2. Establishing a āDavidās Pathā corridor linking northern Israel with northeastern Syria.

10. Prohibiting Syria from developing an air force and air-defense capabilities.
11. Restricting Syrian military aviation to helicopters used for agricultural spraying.
The allegations come amid ongoing U.S.-mediated SyriaāIsrael negotiations, in which security arrangements and Israelās military presence in southern Syria are confirmed areas of discussion.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄan has warned Greece against continuing the militarization of Aegean islands with demilitarized status, saying those who interpret Turkeyās restraint as weakness are making a āgrave mistake.ā
ErdoÄan urged Athens to abandon what he described as a āwrong pathā and stressed that Turkey would continue to closely monitor developments in the region.
