Polymarket traders are currently pricing a 65% chance that the Israel-Iran ceasefire will remain in place through December 31, up about 5 percentage points over the past day.
The market has seen more than $30 million in total trading volume, with the contract currently trading around 64 to 65 cents.
Israel remaining out of direct renewed hostilities with Iran so far may be contributing to the recent increase in the longer-term probability.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met in Tehran.
During the meeting, which was attended by a high-level PUK delegation, discussions focused on the latest political developments and military changes in the region. Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasized that problems require peaceful solutions and ongoing dialogue.
Bafel Jalal Talabani reiterated the PUK's continuous efforts to establish peace and de-escalate tensions, stating that the Kurdistan Region respects the security and sovereignty of neighboring countries, and that a shared and ancient history binds us together with the Iranian people.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his appreciation for the role of Bafel Jalal Talabani and the PUK in their efforts to protect the stability of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region as a whole.

| 3 |  Israeli citizen Binyamin (Ben) Hassin, born in Iraqi Kurdistan, has been released after more than a decade in Iraqi prison, including a death sentence.
Hassin returned to Kurdistan in 2014 and joined the Kurdish Peshmerga forces fighting ISIS. In 2015, he was arrested after a confrontation with a taxi driver who reportedly heard him speaking Hebrew. The driver later died, and Hassin was sentenced to death in 2020.
In November 2025, a reconciliation agreement was reached with the driver's family, who accepted around $250,000 in compensation and forgave Hassin, leading to the death sentence being revoked.
Hassin has now been released and is expected to return to Israel soon.

The assault, the third consecutive attack on Kurdish dissident groups in the Kurdistan Region since Monday, caused no casualties, a group representative told Rudaw.
Another Iranian drone struck a base belonging to the Kurdish opposition group Komala near Sulaimani province, a party official who spoke to Rudaw confirmed.
