It’s not just Netanyahu, but I’m glad that even the establishment Dems are starting to smell the coffee (pun sort of intended) https://fxtwitter.com/TrackAIPAC/status/2069821566247129102/video/1

I don’t know for certain if the Minab school attack was done by the U.S. or Israel, but it was almost certainly done on purpose. They’ve been planning the war against Iran for decades. They would’ve had precise intel on thousands of “legitimate” military targets, and the precision munitions to reach them. They chose a school that had the daughters of IRGC members. They chose to “double tap” the school after emergency crews arrived. They chose this school on the first day of the war, and not after a prolonged conflict in a fog of war. The darker side of this that no one will admit is that it may even fit into a wider pattern of child sacrifice. https://t.me/IRIran_Military/8738

Husayn عليه السلام doesn’t just belong to one sect of people. He belongs to everyone who loves God, hence why even Christians like John b. Huway were able to recognize his virtue and join his struggle. He wasn’t the Master of the Youth of Paradise (سيد شباب أهل الجنة) simply because he was the grandson of the Prophet صلى الله عليه و آله و سلم. Bloodline is not the metric for good and evil in Islam, hence people like Abu Lahab. Husayn was a Master because of his faith and actions, and there was no greater demonstration of his faith and actions than his struggle in Karbala. Husayn wasn’t young, brash or immature for going out. He was a fully mature man in his 50s who was lauded again and again by the Prophet صلى الله عليه و آله و سلم even as an infant. He didn’t rise up for sedition or arrogance, he rose up to fix the Umma of his grandfather صلى الله عليه و آله و سلم . He wasn’t a “social justice warrior” fighting for “human rights”. He was a mujāhid fī sabīlillāh who submitted himself to God fully. If Hajj is about sacrifice (story of Ishmael, ihram, rebirth, etc) then he cut his Hajj short in order to enact the principle of Hajj as opposed to just the ritual. If his passion can be summed up in one word, it is "Islam". He wasn’t just betrayed by the rulers. He was betrayed by the Kufans and all who made false promises to him. His loss was the end of an era — the People of the Cloak were now gone from the Earth, in the worst possible way, with none like them to ever come replace them. May Allah grant us the honour of meeting the Master of Youth, in our youthful state, in the Garden of eternal youth.

Séances have largely gone away in popular culture, but the spiritualist movement was big in the 19th century. Lincoln held a séance in the White House; Alfred Russel Wallace (a father of the theory of evolution) also believed in spiritualism. There are still practitioners today, including in Hollywood circles. I’ve always been skeptical of it, but every so often, you see breadcrumbs like this https://youtu.be/o3Xky4ril3Y? Here is the Wikipedia article for the Philip Experiment https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_experiment The Islamic thesis would be that these are jinn experiences (if they are authentic). However, “jinn” becomes a catch-all for anything paranormal. What makes me interested in things like this is (as well as UAPs for example) is that, if proven, they pose a serious challenge to philosophical materialism.

Theologian JD Hall to Tucker Carlson: The Muslim rulers didn't tax churches during the Ottoman period. They were very kind to Christians. As a matter of fact, they took care of our holy sites. Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries. They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.

A Palestinian confronts Ali Abbas Razawi at a cultural centre in America. Razawi is controversial for signing accords (that he organized) with Zionist leaders. Previously, members of the Shia Muslim community have tried to resolve the issue civilly, with private conversations and silent “walk-outs” from his events. He has appeared with King Charles and Pope Francis, despite not representing the Shia Muslim community in any meaningful way. He completed 2 years in the seminary (AFAIK), the first year of which is usually spent learning Farsi.

As we mark Muharram this year, I am releasing the first 3 chapters (61 pages) of my book Pandemonium: A Sourcebook on the Tragedy of Husayn for free. Here is the PDF. This preview covers the birth, childhood, and virtues of Imam al-Husayn. It includes 41 references, with English, Arabic, and footnotes. I pray this increases everyone's maʿrifa in this season, and brings us closer to the prophetic household.

You can’t always rely on political analysts to project future outcomes. First of all, most of us are stupid. Secondly, the few that aren’t stupid still get things wrong. A good example: no one in Feb2022 would’ve predicted that Ukraine would be bombarding Moscow in 2026. The most I said, in December 2021, was that Russia would invade Ukraine, but not make it all the way to Kyiv. That part was fine, but I didn’t know that the war would become a drone war, and I certainly didn’t know that Ukraine would be this much on the offensive. (That still doesn’t mean that they will “win”. in some respects, this war is really a loss for both sides) I got some things wrong — I thought Iran would’ve had a nuclear weapon in 2025; I overestimated Hezbollah in 2024; I didn’t think Israel would invade much of Lebanon. But here we are. Political science is like meteorology: weather forecasts can be unreliable. That’s why you should just follow morals. Political pragmatists won’t always get the outcomes they expect.

So much of the diasporoid narrative is just a form of identity politics — fixating on racial, linguistic, and historical soundbytes that are half true at best — but they completely dodge life’s big questions. There is virtually no discussion on metaphysics, ethics, praxis, or theology at all. Some will even painfully or reluctantly say that they are Muslims (as a default religion), but without ever considering the implications of that. And then, despite their nationalism, they seem to be the most likely to race-mix, cherry-pick their history, and hate on their own region.

Again, if Israel were like any other ally, the U.S. would be able to withhold some of its foreign aid, arms, intel sharing, etc to force Netanyahu to abide by a deal. After all, the Trump admin is notoriously harsh on U.S. allies. But the U.S. is too infiltrated by Zionists — in Washington, in the various agencies, in television, in the donor class, in the financial system, etc. Plus, there is Mossad blackmail, bribing, and honeypotting, so it is simply impossible for the political system to disentangle itself from the current level of commitment to Israel.
