Al-Haseeb : الحسيب

Ibn al-Qayyim writes:
He who has tested the slave is the Most Wise, the Most Merciful and He didn’t test him with the affliction to destroy, punish or overwhelm him.
Rather, the affliction is merely a test of his patience, contentment with Allaah and faith.
In addition, Allaah wants to hear the slave’s pleas, du'as and humility before him, seeking refuge with Him, his hearts humbleness before Him and and his explaining his sadness to Him (alone).

How did the Prophet eat?
The Prophet said: I eat as a slave eats, and I sit as a slave sits. Since indeed I’m a slave.

Ibn al-Qayyim: The Prophet used to sit on his feet while eating.
He used to place his knees on the ground and would place the bottom of his left foot on the upper part of his right foot in humility for the Lord, and in respect for the food and for those present.
This is the best way to sit for eating, because the organs of the body will be in their proper position along with observing good manners.

Encouragement To Marry A Spouse Of Similar Age!
Buraydah reported: Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه and 'Umar رضي الله عنه, offered marriage proposal to the Prophet's daughter Fāṭmah. The Messenger Of Allāh ﷺ said: "Verily, she is young." Then 'Ali رضي الله عنه offered a marriage proposal and the Prophet married her to him."
