Since 2022, NATO hasn't lost a single soldier while gaining two new member states, Sweden and Finland. Meanwhile, Russian relations with two of its allies, Syria and Armenia, have been massively degraded.
Each Russian soldier who dies for the quran-kissing delusional old man weakens Russia. In contrast, nothing that happens to the Ukrainian proxy will affect the lives of any Western citizen. On the other hand, capturing rubble and poisoned fields will be a burden for Russia for decades to come. All of this will be paid for by ordinary Russian citizens, who will gain nothing in return.
With each passing day of fighting, Russia is losing more and more, while we in NATO countries simply sit back and watch them die for a tiny fraction of our GDP. It's better than Netflix.
All of this was completely unnecessary. It's abundantly clear from how scared Biden and others were to allow Ukraine to attack Russia directly that nobody in NATO was ever going to attack Russia. On the contrary, due to Trump, countries like Germany would have become even more pro-Russia. Without the invasion, Russia and Europe would now have a close alliance. But Putin wasted all of this. Even worse, he increased NATO defense spending, made Germany comfortable with killer drones (widely perceived as an unthinkable moral abomination before 2022), and caused everyone to be much less afraid of facilitating direct attacks against Russia. | 19 | A rising MAGA influencer who calls America "the cancer of the world" has a boyfriend who is an FSB officer and former Wagner Group fighter, according to an investigation by The Insider. The man, Dmitry Grizdak, once kept a registered address in the same Moscow apartment block as two of the FSB assassins who poisoned opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
The influencer, Elizabeth Lane, was born Iza Bendianishvili in Soviet Georgia in 1991 and was virtually unknown a year ago. She rose fast thanks to two of the most prominent American right-wing figures to have visited Moscow recently: Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens. Her YouTube debut, a documentary questioning whether Hitler really died in his bunker, drew 1,497 views. Her October 2025 interview with Carlson pulled 314,227, and a May 2026 episode with Owens reached 834,162.
Grizdak, born in 1982 in Sverdlovsk, served in Kadyrov's Akhmat Battalion and then in Wagner, the private army founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin. Between 2014 and 2016 he made at least four trips to the United States during Russia's first invasion of Ukraine. After The Insider asked him to comment, he wiped his Telegram account and stayed silent.
Lane says Carlson was introduced to her by John Kiriakou, a former CIA officer who served prison time before joining Russian state outlet Sputnik. She has said little about Russia's war publicly, but in one 2022 episode she declared that Russia was doing what Americans should do "with all your guns", and that she was "actually… calling for violence". That same episode featured Mira Terada, who runs a Kremlin-backed disinformation operation once overseen by Prigozhin.
Lane never named Grizdak as her partner, but he was one of two former special forces officers she interviewed in a since-deleted 2023 podcast. When a counter-extremism researcher asked about the unpublished video, she said exposing it "would put an innocent man's life in danger in Russia", and accused him of working with the CIA and Mossad. The relationship she describes as a private love affair is, the reporting suggests, a direct personal line between an emerging pro-Kremlin voice in the American right and a serving Russian intelligence officer.
