AASTU Hosts Training on Leading in the Age of AI
Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), in collaboration with the African Digital and Innovation Technology Academy (ADITA), hosted a half-day training entitled “Leading in the Age of AI: Skills, Ethics, and Transformation.”
The training brought together university executives, directors, deans, and heads of Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to explore the opportunities, challenges, and ethical implications of artificial intelligence in leadership and institutional transformation.
The training was officially opened by Dr. Asrat Atsdeweyn, President of AASTU, who emphasized the vital role of AI in our daily activities. He highlighted that AI presents both opportunities if used responsibly and threats if not used responsibly. Professor Shegaw A. Mengistie, CEO and Co-founder of ADITA, and his team led the training, equipping participants with insights and practical knowledge to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape responsibly and effectively.

የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለተማሪዎች የመማሪያ ቁሳቁስ ድጋፍ አደረገ
ጰጉሜ 4፤ 2018 ዓ.ም
የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለ2019 ዓ.ም የትምህርት ዘመን የሚሆን የመማሪያ ቁሳቁስ ድጋፍ ለ200 ድጋፍ ለሚያስፈልጋቸው የአንደኛ ደረጃ ተማሪዎች አደረገ።
በዚህ ድጋፍ ከአቃቂ ቃሊቲ ክፍለ ከተማ 120፣ ከኮዬ ፈጬ ክፍለ ከተማ 40 እና ከገላን ከተማ 40 በአጠቃላይ 200 ተማሪዎች ተጠቃሚ ሆነዋል።
የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር አስራት አጸደወይን ድጋፉ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከማኅበረሰቡ ጎን መሆኑን የሚያሳይ መሆኑን ገልጸው፣ በቀጣይም መሰል ድጋፎችና ትብብሮች እንደሚጠናከሩ አረጋግጠዋል።
ድጋፉ በዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ም/ፕ ሥር በሚገኘው የማኅበረሰብ አሳታፊነት ዳይሬክቶሬት አስተባባሪነት ተካሂዷል።
