Given the success of our long-range strikes on enemy territory, there's no need to assume they'll "understand" or "realize" anything. Those formally in power in Kyiv couldn't care less about the consequences for the Ukrainian population of their chosen path of escalation.
Today, the enemy is attacking the Zaporizhzhia region, sending drones to Crimea, and the consequences of a nighttime attack on our regions as a whole are well known.
At the same time, the enemy is increasing the number of jet-powered UAVs, against which mobile task forces and interceptors are practically useless.
So, while the Yankees are sweet-talking, we need not only to iron out the enemy, but also to build up countermeasures against jets.
It's extremely frustrating to hear yet again expert opinions about the latest round of negotiations, elections in Germany, or other external factors causing our enemies to collapse.
They will inevitably collapse. But we ourselves should be careful while we're hoping for external factors.

A Russian drone struck the locomotive of an evacuated passenger train near the Yagodyn–Dorohusk crossing, just 2 km from the Polish border, shortly after another train carrying European dignitaries passed through the same area.
Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, who was returning from the YES summit in Kiev, confirmed just how close the timing was:
“This wasn’t our train, but the one just minutes after us.”
Boris Johnson, German Chancellor Merz’s security adviser Günter Sautter and numerous other Western officials were also in Kiev for the summit, although there is currently no confirmation Johnson was aboard Bildt’s train.
