🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
Al-Ḥamīd (الْحَمِيدُ)
🕊️ Meaning
The Praiseworthy. Allah is worthy of all praise because of who He is, His perfect qualities, and everything He does.
🤲 When to call upon Him
Call upon Al-Ḥamīd when you want to grow in gratitude and learn to recognize Allah’s blessings. Praise Him not only for what He gives you, but for who He is.
💭 How to use this name in du’a
“Ya Ḥamīd, make my heart grateful and my tongue quick to praise You. Help me recognize Your blessings, appreciate what You have given me, and praise You for who You are.”
🌙 Reflection
Sometimes we only remember to say Alhamdulillah when something goes our way. But praising Allah is deeper than that. He is worthy of praise because of His mercy, wisdom, generosity, forgiveness, and every other perfect quality He possesses. The more we get to know Allah, the more reasons we find to praise Him. 🤍
📖 Qur’an
“O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.”
Surah Fāṭir 35:15

| 5 | Al-Masjid an-Nabawi was established by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after he arrived in Madinah, and it became the central mosque of the Muslim community. It was a place where the Prophet ﷺ led prayers, taught the companions, met with people, and dealt with matters of the Muslim community.
Masjid Qubā was established before his ﷺ arrival in Madinah, while he was staying in Qubā, a separate settlement just outside Madinah at the time. | 67 |
| 6 | After arriving in Madinah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ established a mosque that became the center of the growing Muslim community. What was it called? | 76 |
| 7 | The Battle of Badr took place in 2 AH and was the first major battle between the Muslims and the Quraysh. Despite being greatly outnumbered, the Muslims were victorious by the help of Allah. It was a major turning point for the Muslim community in Madinah. | 72 |
| 8 | What was the first major battle between the Muslims and the Quraysh after the Hijrah to Madinah? | 84 |
| 9 | Prophet Muhammad ﷺ called the people of Makkah to Islam for 13 years, during which he ﷺ and the Muslims faced increasing persecution and hardship from the Quraysh. When the people of Madinah accepted Islam and offered the Muslims a place where they could worship Allah safely, Allah permitted the Prophet ﷺ and the Muslims to migrate there. This migration became known as the Hijrah. | 79 |
| 10 | How long did Prophet Muhammad ﷺ continue calling people to Islam in Makkah before the Hijrah to Madinah? | 96 |
| 11 | Cave Hira was a place where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would retreat for worship and reflection before receiving revelation. It was there that the angel Jibrīl عليه السلام came to him with the first revelation from Allah. | 91 |

🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Wadūd (الْوَدُود)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Wadūd means The Most Loving. Allah is the One whose love is perfect and complete. He loves what is good and loves those who turn to Him and strive to please Him.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Wadūd when you want to strengthen the love in your relationships, develop sincere love for others, or ask Allah to make the love you have for people a means of drawing closer to Him.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Wadūd, fill my heart with sincere love for You and for those whom You love. Make the love I have for others a means of earning Your pleasure and bring us closer to You.”
🌙 Reflection:
Love doesn’t always have to be about what someone can give us. One of the most beautiful forms of love is to care for someone for the sake of Allah. You love them because they remind you of Allah, support you in goodness, or simply because you want good for them for His sake.
This kind of love isn’t dependent on what you receive in return. You can make du’a for someone when they don’t know, help them when there’s nothing in it for you, forgive them, or simply want goodness for them. When that love is sincerely for Allah, even something as human as loving another person can become an act of worship. 🤍
📖 “My love is for those who love one another for My sake…” (Hadith Qudsi, reported by Mālik)

🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Ḥakīm (الْحَكِيم)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Ḥakīm means The Most Wise. Allah’s wisdom is perfect. Everything He creates, commands, allows, and decrees is based on a wisdom that we may understand sometimes and may not understand at all.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Ḥakīm when you’re struggling to understand why something happened, making an important decision, or asking Allah to guide you toward what is truly best for you.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Ḥakīm, guide me with Your wisdom. Help me trust what You choose for me, even when I don’t understand it, and show me what is best for me.”
🌙 Reflection:
There are things in life that won’t make sense to us right away. We may wonder why Allah allowed something to happen, why a certain door closed, or why something we’ve prayed for hasn’t worked out.
But our understanding is limited, while Allah’s wisdom isn’t. We only see one small part of the picture. Allah sees the beginning, the end, and everything in between.
Sometimes faith means being able to say, “I don’t understand this, but I trust that Allah does.” 🤍
📖 “And Allah is Knowing and Wise.” (Qur’an 4:17)
