Jannah is Our Dream

It was narrated from ‘Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Perform Hajj and ‘Umrah, one after the other, for performing them one after the other removes poverty and sin as the bellows removes impurity from iron.” Another chain reports a similar hadith. عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: حج اور عمرہ کو یکے بعد دیگرے ادا کرو، اس لیے کہ انہیں باربار کرنا فقر اور گناہوں کو ایسے ہی دور کر دیتا ہے جیسے بھٹی لوہے کے میل کو حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ تَابِعُوا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَإِنَّ الْمُتَابَعَةَ بَيْنَهُمَا تَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ وَالذُّنُوبَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ Grade: Sahih (Darussalam) Reference : Sunan Ibn Majah 2887

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not seek faults of other Muslims or Allāh will humiliate you even if you hide in your homes.” ● [أبي داود ٤٨٨٠]

"If you don't find me in Jannah then ask about me..." Surely the people of Jannah when they enter and they don't find those companions of theirs who were with them upon good in this world, they will intercede for them in front of Allah ﷻ and they will say: "Oh Rabb we have brothers and sisters who used to offer salah and fast with us, we do not see them? Allah ﷻ will say, "Go to the fire and take out any person who had even an atoms amount of emaan (faith) in his heart." Hasan Basri said, "Have lots of believing friends because they will be able to intercede for you on the day of Qiyamah.' If you don't find me in Jannah then please ask about me..." Abu Uthman an Nahdi said, "The Companions used to hold three sets of tens in high regard: The first ten days of al Muharram, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah and the last ten nights of Ramadan." [Muhammad Nasr al Marwazi, Mukhtasar Qiyamil layl 1/247]

Friday 7th June will be the first day of Dhul Hijjah. (it starts from maghrib time on thursday) These are the best 10 days in the year, increase in much good deeds and reduce/stop your bad deeds. Rewards for good deeds are multiplied and its mentioned bad deeds are too, Allahu alaam. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), as narrated in the hadeeth of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days – i.e., ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out himself with his wealth and does not come back with anything (i.e., he expends all his wealth and is martyred).” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 969) And it was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khalid from his wife that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast nine days of Dhul-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashura’ and three days of each month – the first Monday and two Thursdays.” (Narrated by Imam Ahmad, 21829; Abu Dawood, 2437; classed as da’eef in Nasb al-Raayah, 2/180, but classed as saheeh by al-Albani.)

Moosaa al-Hajjaawee said: ❝The parable of Imaan is like that of a city which has five fortresses. The first (and innermost) of them is made of gold, the second of silver, the third of iron, the fourth of baked bricks, and the fifth (and the outermost) of mud (and unbaked bricks). So as long as the people of the city defend the mud fortress, the enemy would not be able to reach the next fortress. But if they fail to defend it, the enemy will penetrate (and reach) the next, and then the next, until all the fortresses are destroyed. Similarly, Imaan is like these five fortresses. The first is Yaqeen (certainty), the second is Ikhlaas (sincerity), the third is fulfilling the Faraaidh (obligations), the fourth is the Sunan (recommended acts), and the fifth is Adaab (etiquette). As long as a person safeguards his etiquette, Shaitaan will not be able to penetrate it. But if he abandons his etiquette, Shaitaan will reach his Sunan, then his obligations, then his Ikhlaas, until he reaches his Yaqeen.❞ 📚 [غذاء الألباب (1/37 )]

Surah Al-Fatihah is a cure for showing off and arrogance, two deadly diseases of the heart Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah would often say: "You alone we worship" repels showing off (Riyā). "You alone we ask for help" repels arrogance. (Madarij al-Salikīn)

Narrated one of the wives of Prophet, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast the first nine days of Dhul Hijjah.” [Abu Dawud 2437 & Nasai 2417]

Ali ibn Abi Talib reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, in Paradise are chambers whose outside can be seen from the inside, and whose inside can be seen from the outside.” A bedouin stood up and he said, “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “For those who speak kind words, feed the poor, regularly fast, and pray to Allah at night while people sleep.” Sunan al-Tirmidhi‌ 1984
