I dated a man who made me feel like I had finally met someone who understood what it meant to take care of his woman. He would randomly send money, handle my bills before I even mentioned them, and always say, “If I have it, you shouldn’t have to stress over it.” I genuinely thought I was being spoiled because he was generous. Turns out, I was being spoiled because he was trying to keep me from asking questions. One weekend, his phone kept ringing while we were together. He ignored it 3 times before finally answering. I heard a woman in the background asking about a hospital appointment and whether he had sent money for their child. I thought I misheard. A few days later, I discovered he had been maintaining separate relationships with 2 other women. Both had children for him, and neither woman was some secret from the other. They knew each other. Apparently, I was the only person who didn’t know the full story. The funny part is that he had been spending so much money trying to keep all 3 households happy that once things got expensive, the “generous boyfriend” version of him disappeared. He always gave stories when anything monetary arises. I had earned and saved enough from his generosity, so I ended everything immediately. I couldn’t stay with a broke womanizer who had numerous baby mama issues. That was three years ago, and this man still occasionally tries to find his way back into my life when he gets some money. He won’t stop using money to get my attention. I ignore him when he’s broke, he comes texting when he gets money. He’s not small, he’s 43 and a business owner but sometimes things are hard for him. One day he asked me why I loved money so much, I said, “sir you already showed me what comes with the package”. You have many baby mamas, not like you want to marry me and abandon them. It’s sezz you want and I give you that for some money. Unfortunately, he said he loved and wanted to marry me but since all I wanted was money, it’s over. I’ve not heard from him since and I don’t regret it. But I want to ask, can a man have many women and truly want to marry someone new? The guy has money, has cars and a home so he can get any woman and he got two pregnant and they have kids. What about me made him always come to spend on me and wanted to marry me? Sometimes I feel I lost but other times I feel it’s good we separated, I just want to clear my head. So help me post and ask if I truly lost or the break up is okay?.
