| 2 | Hello, this is something I'd like to share, not to disgrace my friend or search for him. I'm not even looking for him, he can do whatever he wants. I don't need the money again, but I think everyone should learn from this.
My bosom friend who goes by the name Enoch, and I have been friends since secondary school days. We were labeled as twins on earth cuz we were inseparable. Kwaku, our friendship has been over a decade. There's nothing we hide from each other. Last year he asked me to loan him some money, Ghc 200,000.
I did without hesitation because we're friends. He promised to pay in a month but failed. I didn't ask until five months later, which was in February this year. He said he hadn't forgotten and apologized for the delay. Mind you, this never affected our bond. We were calm as usual. We went out and did all we do.
He bought a car in April, I was surprised cuz he still owed me money. I needed the money for my business. Then I saw him flaunt some money and made other big purchases, I wasn't jealous but I was unhappy cuz I needed my money. I spoke to him, he said he was going to pay in May. I was there on May 15 when he called around 11pm that he was coming to my end to talk. He asked if I was alone or had a woman around and I told him I was alone.
He came in a matiz which isn't his car, he said it was for a friend and he just decided to try out a small car.
We spoke, he assured me he was going to pay before May ended, even with 50k interest and made us drink. He kept making us drink more and more, but I gave up. Around 1:30pm, he asked to leave. Normally, he will sleep cuz there's enough room but he asked to leave.
We went out, he got into his car and I went to open the gate for him. Well, while I was still opening the gate, he drove speedily towards me in an attempt to crush me but I escaped, he crushed into the gate instead, I thought something happened. Then he reversed and drove my way again but I left there also and I don't know why, but I just took to my heels, cuz I was tipsy as well. He parked the car and chased me with a knyfe but I got inside and locked the door. Then he run into the damaged car and drove off. I never heard from him since that day. He's phone isn't going through and he's not home. He tried to unalive me, I don't know why, but I thank God for life. I'm more careful now and I've not told the police anything, just my brother. I don't want him arrested and I won't ask him the money if I ever meet him. I feel disappointed and scared for my life, but he won't get me ever. His intentions were really to unalive me and get away that night, I saw it in his eyes. He meant evil but I thank God I found my feet even in a tipsy situation. I'm careful of friends, no matter how close and my story is a lesson to all out there. These things are happening, I hear and read them daily but now I know they're real. My name is Jefferey and I need advice from your audience because my mind is really troubled
I am the only son in my family. My parents are very successful and they made sure I had the best education. They sent me abroad where I completed both my degree and master’s degree.
Three years ago I returned to Ghana hoping to start life and build my future. I honestly thought my father would help me get started by connecting me to some of the companies he knows or allowing me to work under him and learn. Unfortunately that has not happened.
My father has refused to connect me to any company or let me work under him. He says he has already done his part by giving me a good education and that I should now use my qualifications and build my own life.
At first he was giving me a monthly allowance but he stopped. Recently he also informed me that from next month I will have to start paying rent for the apartment I live in. It is a three bedroom apartment and he wants me to pay GHC 5,000 every month.
At the moment I am surviving mostly on what my mother, sisters and girlfriend give me. Without them I honestly do not know how I would be managing.
What hurts me most is that I feel my father does not care about me. Sometimes I even feel like he hates me. I am his only son and I always imagined he would be the one to guide me into life and help me establish myself. Instead it feels like he has completely cut me off.
The pressure is becoming too much and I am now considering taking some money from my mother and returning to the US. Part of me feels that if I leave and go back abroad my father may eventually miss me and call me home. Another part of me feels I should just leave and build my life elsewhere. I honestly do not know what to do anymore.
My father is being too hard on me. Should I leave Ghana and return to the US
Or is there something I am failing to understand about what my father, maybe I'm not his son.

| 20 | Bro Kwaku, something really bad has happened in my family and my mother is being blamed seriously. Just last Sunday, my father sent my mother out of the house. Before he sent her out, he was already saying that he wanted a divorce, that she should go to her parents house, because he’s bringing a new lady to the house.
I’m not taking sides but my father was a bit irresponsible, when he gets money he uses it on money and other women. That has always been their argument. My mother is only 44 and my father was 48. I am their first born, I’m 19 and in the university (first year). It’s my mother who put me in school and she’s the one paying everything, my father never paid my fees or supported me, he said I should wait before going to university because I was too young, but my mother insisted and so he refused to support me.
I wasn’t even home, my mother called me around 4pm on Sunday that she was leaving to grandma’s place because my dad was drunk and was misbehaving and has thrown all her things out. I rushed home to speak to my father but he said he didn’t want our mom around and even said we can join her if we wanted.
Well, I love my mother and so do all my siblings cuz if we stay behind, our lives will be a mess so all of us (we’re 3) followed our mother to grandma’s place - that was Sunday; 12th April.
On Wednesday(April 15 - 3 days ago), my mom had a call. They said my father was dead, he was found dead in the room after he hadn’t been out all day till around 2pm. A friend came looking for him and he discovered him lifeless.
We all don’t wish him dead, he’s our father and my mother has been crying since she heard the news. But what’s worse is my father’s family. Everyone that calls my mother is blaming her for my father’s demise. They said she kiIIedd him, some are calling her a wintch, just because my father dieed right after sending her out.
They even said they’ll come and arrest her so she goes to explain herself. The past three days has been very rough for mom and I don’t know how to help her cuz she’s only been crying.
