Hamza Sarim is a child who would sell thyme on the streets of his neighbourhood in Syria, to help his family driven into poverty by the Takfiri-Jolani regime policies since December 2024. Policies designed to target the Syrian minorities first, to ethnically cleanse them from their homes, farms and land - to be replaced by the foreign Takfiri mercenaries.
Hamza was kidnapped months ago. There is no investigation. His parents “die a little” every night. His laughter left the house and has been replaced by their tears and grief.
Nobody cares because he is “Alawite”. He is a child, a sweet innocent child with the smile of an angel who has just been trying to bring in a few cents to help his family. This is the Syria that Jolani has created and called it “New Syria”. Tens of thousands of dollars are squandered on fireworks to celebrate “New Syria” while Hamza just wanted to sell a few thyme leaves to help feed his family.
These children are not shown on the billboards that Jolani is erecting in Damascus for people to take selfies in front of. The children, the girls, boys, adults are not on the billboards - they are being tortured, detained without charge, abused, murdered, robbed and raped… in silence and in darkness. The media continue to tell you that “Assad was the prince of darkness” and Jolani the saviour… but once again, the voices of the Syrian people are being suppressed, silenced and driven underground.. there is nobody to speak for them. Who will save Hamza and bring him back to his parents?

Not a soldier on a battlefield, but a beautiful young woman, full of life, dreams, memories and a future she had every right to believe was hers.
Terrorist Israel reached her in the supposed safety and comfort of her own home in the town of Maifadoun, southern Lebanon, with a bomb made in the United States of America, paid off with tax payers' money.
Another young life extinguished. Another family left staring at an absence that can never be filled. Another dream buried beneath the rubble of a country that has been taught, time and again, that international law applies selectively and that Lebanese lives can be destroyed with complete impunity.
And while Maryam's family mourns, Lebanon's political establishment continues to speak the language of sovereignty while surrendering its meaning.
At the very top stands a political order that has repeatedly asked the Lebanese people to place their faith in institutions that have proven incapable of protecting them from Israeli aggression. People were told to trust that the Lebanese Army would be strengthened, that the state would reclaim responsibility for defending its land and its people.
But what does sovereignty mean when Israeli warplanes can enter Lebanese skies, strike Lebanese homes, and kill Lebanese citizens?
What does trust mean when the very state presented as the alternative to resistance is unable or even unwilling to prevent its people from becoming targets?
For many Lebanese, the painful reality is becoming impossible to ignore: an army that is politically restrained, strategically constrained, and dependent on powers that arm and protect Israel cannot simply be presented as an independent shield against Israeli aggression. A nation cannot outsource its security to a political framework designed by those who tolerate its repeated violation.
Maryam paid the ultimate price for this hypocrisy.
Her death is not merely another number to be added to a casualty list. She was a person. A daughter. A young woman with dreams that will now remain forever unfinished.
And those who speak endlessly of "state sovereignty" should have the courage to explain to Maryam's family what sovereignty looks like when a US-made bomb can find its way into the home of a young Lebanese woman in the south and steal her future.
Rest in peace, Maryam.

It recorded Syrian political and material support continuing even when that support helped keep Syria isolated and sanctioned.
Think about what that actually means.
Syria was not merely waving a Palestinian flag. It was providing geography. And geography is something speeches cannot replace.
Tehran could manufacture and finance. Lebanon could fight. Palestine could resist. But between those worlds stood Syrian territory, the bridge connecting fronts that Israel desperately wanted separated. Even U.S. reporting described Syria and Iraq as vital routes for supplying Hezbollah.
That fact should haunt anyone still pretending the alliances were random.
Look at who came when Syria was bleeding. Then look at where those same forces stood when Palestine was bleeding.
The connection was never sect. It was never coincidence. It was a frontline.
Perhaps Syria had to be broken before the world could finally understand what it had been holding together.
Sometimes history has to remove the shield before people understand what it was shielding them from.
Then the enemy moves forward, the fronts begin to unravel, and suddenly the country they were taught to blame becomes the country whose absence explains everything.
Syria didn’t need the world to believe its story. The world only had to witness what happened when Syria could no longer stand in the way…

| 11 |  I have reached a point where I have zero trust in American activism that claims to be fighting the foreign policy of its own government while doing little or nothing to confront the machinery of repression at home.
This is not about demanding that every American become a full-time revolutionary. It is about something much simpler known as political consistency.
For more than a year, the U.S. has continued to wage, enable, finance and politically shield policies that have produced devastation abroad, while simultaneously expanding the language and machinery through which dissent at home can be surveilled, criminalized and treated as a threat.
The presidential memorandum passed last September on "Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence" is particularly revealing. Its language casts an extraordinarily broad net around political opposition, including people described in terms such as "anti-American" or "anti-capitalist".
And that raises a very basic question: What exactly is an "anti-American" American supposed to be?
Someone who opposes the policies of their government? Someone who believes their economic system is unjust? Someone who wants to change the political order of their own country?
If merely opposing the ideology, economic system or policies of your own government can be rhetorically pushed toward the territory of "domestic terrorism", then what are Americans actually defending when they talk about democracy and political freedom?
And there is an even deeper contradiction.
The United States has spent decades intervening in other countries, attempting to reshape governments, destabilizing political orders, imposing sanctions, supporting military campaigns and participating in wars whose human consequences are borne overwhelmingly by people who had absolutely no say in Washington's decisions.
Yet some American activists will tell the rest of the world that they are doing everything within their power to oppose oppression abroad, while rarely confronting the political structures that make that oppression possible at home.
That is where I draw the line.
You cannot credibly present yourself as someone fighting to liberate other people from the consequences of your government's foreign policy while refusing to seriously challenge the political system that produces, funds and legitimizes that foreign policy.
If you cannot lift a finger against the machinery of oppression when it operates in your own name, your claims to be liberating others begin to sound less like solidarity and more like self-image.
Solidarity is not a moral costume you get to wear once a month. It is not showing up at a protest when the cameras are rolling, posting the right slogans, condemning someone else's government, or expressing outrage over atrocities committed thousands of miles away.
Solidarity requires confronting uncomfortable truths about your own side, your own government, your own institutions and, when necessary, your own privileges within the system.
Otherwise, what you are offering is not liberation. It is a form of political outsourcing. You are telling us that you will condemn oppression everywhere except where you have the greatest responsibility and the greatest capacity to challenge it.
And that is why I remain deeply skeptical of declarations from American activists that they are "trying as hard as they can" to stop their government's aggression abroad.
Perhaps some genuinely are. I am not interested in dismissing individual courage or sacrifice.
But I'll just say this: good intentions cannot substitute for political consequences.
If an entire year passes while the machinery continues operating, while dissent is increasingly securitized at home, while foreign populations continue paying the price, and while those who claim to oppose it cannot meaningfully challenge the system producing it while effectively being branded "terrorists" in their own country, then eventually we have to ask 👇🏻1/2 | 1 601 |

Iran launched one of its largest ballistic-missile and drone responses of the battle after America carried out fresh airstrikes against southern Iran. America carried out airstrikes against Ahvaz in southwestern Iran. The IRGC announced that its new aerospace air-defense system had shot down the 50th advanced American MQ-9 Reaper, with the drone reported downed over Khomeyn. The IRGC said the MQ-9 was destroyed as part of its response to the latest American attacks. Iranian state-linked media described the night’s response as one of the largest missile attacks against American bases compared with previous rounds. The latest exchange followed American strikes on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz, which america said were carried out in response to Iran’s alleged attempt to deploy naval mines and earlier Iranian missile attacks on American military sites in Jordan.
Jordan became the main target of the Iranian ballistic-missile response. Muwaffaq Salti Air Base was targeted in multiple successive waves, with reports of direct impacts, interceptions and renewed explosions around the American base. Reports said two waves of missiles specifically targeted Muwaffaq Salti, while subsequent reports said the base was being struck by dozens of Iranian missiles. The base is also referred to as Al-Azraq Air Base in reports about American military operations in Jordan. Prince Hassan Air Base in eastern Jordan was also targeted by ballistic missiles. The IRGC said its attack on Prince Hassan destroyed several American drones and killed a number of pilots and technical flight personnel. A second wave of drones was subsequently reported targeting American objectives in Erbil, northern Iraq.
