Statement by the Islamic Resistance Front in Syria - Ulil Abas In the name of Allah, the Merciful {And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the oppressors do} To our resilient Syrian people, and to present the facts to public opinion and the de facto authorities in Damascus: We announce to all that a military force belonging to the Israeli occupation carried out a raid on the night of Friday, June 26, 2026, inside the city of Jumla in the Yarmouk Basin region, west of Daraa, composed of 9 military vehicles and approximately 100 soldiers, where they established a checkpoint on the main road leading to the city of Abdeen and deployed with their weapons among residential neighborhoods and in front of the sheikh’s house and the main mosque, coinciding with intense Israeli drone activity. We, the Islamic Resistance Front in Syria — Ulil Abas — present these facts on the ground to the authorities in Damascus so that they may see the reality of this “coordination and suspicious silence”; where the security services or military posts of the authorities present in the area did not fire a single bullet, but instead withdrew and disappeared completely, leaving the land and the population exposed to the occupier. This incursion, which took place without any confrontation, conclusively demonstrates to all those who still trust this authority that it has surrendered the country’s borders to Israeli occupation under secret, undeclared agreements to protect its authority and survival, while directing its entire army and arsenal against the Free Syrians, restricting citizens’ livelihoods, and besieging any genuine resistance movement within the country in defense of the land. Today, its so-called sovereignty over the Yarmouk Basin has fallen, and official negligence is no longer merely an oversight, but an explicit complicity in the violation of the land and an open betrayal of the blood of the Syrian people. In conclusion, what has happened today provides clear proof that genuine resistance to protect the land is no longer merely a political option, but an imperative religious and national duty imposed by the authorities’ betrayal and their abdication of their responsibilities.
