Just returned from the court, what fun. The court was in the main building today and had proper Magi in it. First thing I asked was "Is this Tameside Magistrates Court that gets it's authority from the Magistrates Courts Act 1980"? No answer and the legal advisor looked very sheepish (probably a member of the baaaa). I asked again and again and they wouldn't answer so I asked them for their names which they gave. Next I asked "Was this room hired out by Tameside Council"? No answer. In the end I read out some very important information for them explaining what I believed was taking place and that Tameside Council are a Corporate Body whose Dunn and Bradstreet number is xxxxxxx and to do business with them there would need to be a contract and an order placed, can you show me evidence of this? No answer anyway in the end they have adjourned the hearing to Manchester Court in front of a district Judge in November. So if you want to come along for a laff I'll let you know what time and date nearer.
