π΄ Iβve been tracking my sleep for the past 17 days
Last year, I tried doing this with a Telegram bot, but it required manually logging sleep and wake times every day which seemed unnecessary.
This time I use the Telegram API to automatically track my online/offline status, store timestamps, and calculate sleep patterns from that data.
Itβs accurate, since Telegram is almost always the first app I open in the morning and the last one I close at night.
I might turn this into a public site where you can share an accountβs status and have your sleep patterns tracked automatically (similar to how Iβm currently doing it with two accounts). Securely ofcourse
I didn't take any inspiration for the UI btw

Doing something while you've got the free time, all the resources, all the comfort, and all the finance isn't actually ambitious. It's just expected and normal.
Doing it while u lack these makes you ambitious.

π Introducing Dataset.ET
The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages.
Today we are launching Dataset.ET β an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages.
Why this matters:
Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages.
Dataset.ET is changing that.
What we are building:
β’ Speech datasets
β’ Text datasets
β’ Community-validated language corpora
β’ Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI
How you can help:
1οΈβ£ Record sentences using our Telegram bot
2οΈβ£ Validate recordings from other contributors
3οΈβ£ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages
No technical skills needed β just your voice and your language.

π’ Community leaders & channel admins:
If you run a Telegram group or community and believe Ethiopian languages should be part of the future of AI, we would really appreciate it if you could share this post with your community. Your support can help thousands of people contribute their language and voice to this initiative. Thank you!
It keeps getting better
I almost went through this on autopilot, when you copy, it copies a different string than what it shows
and is something malicious

Just finished reading this,
I walked from Ayat all the way to Haile l Garment
there're a lot of subtle ideas here that are worth thinking about
For me the biggest takeaway is taking notes on a journey like this, it doesn't have to be physical activity too
I highly recommend you read this
It would seem that very few good things in life come from accepting things as it is. To become educated, we must be motivated to learn. To master a sport requires that we continually improve our performance and overcome our resistance to physical exertion. To be a better spouse or parent, we often must make deliberate effort to change ourselves. Merely accepting that we are lazy, distracted, petty, easily provoked to anger, and inclined to waste our time in ways that we will later regret, is not a path to happiness. The paradox is that we can become wiser and more compassionate and live more fulfilling lives by refusing to be who we have tended to be in the past. But we must also relax, accepting things as they are in the present, as we strive to change ourselves.Sam Harris
When people show you who they are believe them and place them where they belong.
