I saw God on the train, but pretended I didn’t.
So I sat far away from the seat he was sitting.
Then he got up, I think probably to piss.
And he noticed me there,
and said, “Oi, oi, what are you saying?
You hiding from me?”
I said, “Ahhh, I mean, nahhh. Just a comfier seat.”
And he looked at me like I was a kid
covered in chocolate, surrounded by wrappers,
Saying, “I don’t know what happened,”
and he goes, “Come on then, mate,
I’ve got a few minutes. Tell me what’s wrong,
but don’t f*ck around with it.”
Then it shocked me that it fit in one sentence.
I said, “I just think Heaven’s a stupid incentive.”
Like what, a shit life for a beautiful death?
And those who are evil can suddenly repent.
Like a killer or nonce can live like a monster
then at the right at the end say, “God, I’m sorry, dear God, sir,”
and end up right there in heaven with my nana.
She is doing some knitting; he’s waving a hammer.
It’s like, “Jesus, God, what a horrible deal.”
And he goes, “Yes, f*ck, I know how you feel.”
I’m like, “Mate, you’re the one spinning the wheel.”
And he goes, “Listen, I’ll tell you a secret —
If God wrote the book, why are you holding the pen?
Nah, the rules I wrote, I wrote on your heart.
The truth I spoke, you’ve known from the start.
Be kind and don’t harm; isn’t that hard?
Heaven is just life if you’re doing your part.
You want white clouds and endless skies?
Err, yeah, look around.
You don’t have to die.
I know it probably brings you some pain
to think of the dead as just dust in a grave.
But humans can’t comprehend it when I say,
“Life is the cloud and death is the rain.”
And I got to my stop and felt kind of mad.
I’m not sure he answered the questions I had.
Then I looked up and saw the sun rising.
He said, “You’re looking for heaven,
but you’re the one hiding.”

Imagine telling someone a somewhat sad story about yourself, and you yourself is the one doing the comforting 😕 (to yourself)

Telegram’s default apps do not allow deleting more than 100 messages at once, likely for security reasons. However, this limitation does not apply when using the Telegram API. Teltools is a collection of additional features built on top of Telegram that extends these default limitations and adds automation capabilities. Current Features Delete more than 100 messages at once Delete messages by selecting a date range Delete a specific number of messages automatically Send message for testing purpose & get chat IDs More fun features will be added like Send messages with the same time gaps as original responses and more Note that your session string will be printed in the termina & represents a logged-in account - keep it secure! Contributions are welcome :) https://github.com/DawitMengistu/teltools

Four years ago, I made a sliding puzzle game in Processing (Java). Back then, I was generating the tile arrangements completely at random. When I played, I sometimes got combinations that I couldn’t solve and even asked a friend about it Yesterday, I remembered that conversation and wondered why some arrangements were impossible to solve. It turns out there’s a reason: moving tiles preserves a property called parity, which means that not all combinations are solvable. I recreated the game in JavaScript and tested the exact same unsolvable combinations and it was impossible to solve. try playing: https://jigsaw-puzzle-non-solvable.vercel.app/ The first combination you get is the combination I got 4 years ago

🤍 Dagmawi Babi's Meetup This year I'm starting with a new and independently organized Dagmawi Babi event! 🎉 Dagmawi Babi's Meetup is the first of it's kind event organized by Dagmawi Babi and his team as a thank you to all the incredible individuals, creators, event organizers, companies and communities improving and accelerating the tech and design ecosystem. It's a thank you for taking risks, for pioneering new ventures, for taking the blame, for investing so much of yourself into the benefits of everyone else, for spending months building epic things, for spending countless nights preparing events, for imagining a community that can be much better than what it is and working towards your vision. We're going to spend an incredible full day where we listen to insightful keynotes, explore project showcases, attend a live podcast (Devtopia), hold an in-person Creator Awards (by Codenight) and so much more. The date is Jan 24, 2026 and the event will take place at DxValley 2.0. So if all of this sounds like your type of event, register at dagmawi.dev/meetup and claim your ticket. Make sure to select "Attending" from the options. Thank you again and I can't wait to see you there! Yours truly @Dagmawi_Babi

🧘‍♀️ Consider a simple test for the year ahead. Can you watch a movie without checking your phone? Can you read for an hour without interrupting yourself? Can you be fully present with another person, your partner, your child, your friend? The world seems likely to grow more chaotic and fragmented, not less, and the war for your attention will almost certainly intensify this year. Maybe in the coming year we can all learn to recognize distraction the moment it arises and return, again and again, to the only place life is ever real: here, in the present.
