A reminder that taqwā is not a state of sinlessness but a posture of oft-returning to Allāh: ليس من شـرط المُتَّقِيــن ونحـوهم أن لا يقع منهم ذنب ولا أن يكونـوا معصومين من الخطأ والذنوب؛ فإنَّ هـذا لو كان كذلك لم يكُنْ في الأُمَّـة مُتَّـقٍ! بل مـن تــاب من ذنوبــــه دخـــل في المُتَّقِيـن ومن فعل ما يُكفِّر سيئاتـه دخــل في المُتَّقِيـن "It is not a condition of the muttaqīn that no sin should ever occur from them, nor that they be immune to error and wrongdoing. If that were the case, there would be no such persons left in the entire Ummah! Rather, whoever repents of his sins is counted among the muttaqīn, and whoever engages in what expiates his bad deeds is likewise counted among the muttaqīn." • منهاج السُنَّة لابن تيمية (٧ / ٨٢) #persistentpiety

When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saw something that impressed him of this world, he would say: لبيك إن العيش عيش الآخرة "Labbayk, the real life is indeed the life of the Hereafter." He acknowledged the beauty and enjoyment of the world. Yet the moment its admiration increased, he immediately recalibrated his heart. Not letting it turn into an unhealthy attachment by reminding himself of its fleeting reality. t.me/mirqat

البدار البدار قبل الفَوْت، الحذار الحذار قبل المَوْت؛ ما فِي المَقابِر من دَفِين إلّا وهُوَ مُتألم من سَوف! Hasten, hasten; lest loss befall. Beware, beware; lest death appall. For none within the graves is laid, but one still wounded by “I will, I shall"- the very ache of delay itself... • المدهش (ص٤٧٨)

Divine Entrustment  🫴🏼 Delegating matters to Allāh transforms helplessness into reliance. When you entrust them to Allāh, they leave the narrowness of your helplessness and enter the vastness of His care. What you could no longer carry, you have placed under His care and protection.

One's character isn't shaped in isolation, it's shaped in company. This statement shadows the Hadīth: "A person is upon the deen of his close friend, so let one of you look carefully at whom he befriends." It isn't warning against bad company in some external, contamination sense. It's saying that your circle of friends isn't incidental, it is diagnostic of who you've already become.

The greatest barrier to learning is a closed mind. The moment you become convinced you already know, growth ends. Humility unlocks wisdom, while ego imprisons it. The strongest mind is always willing to learn. As the Prophet ﷺ said: الكِبرُ بَطَرُ الحقِّ وغَمْطُ النّاسِ "Arrogance is to reject the truth and look down on people." • أخرجه مسلم (٩١)

How Minds Handle Reality A wise, intelligent person has an internal filter; when something contradicts reason, experience, or known principles, they pause, question and test it. They don't swallow claims just because they're delivered eloquently or confidently. A foolish person, on the other hand, isn't defined by less knowledge, but by a low threshold to nonsense. If something sounds impressive, dramatic, or convenient, they accept it without friction. Yūsuf ibn al-Husayn (d.304H) said: إذا أردت أن تعلم العاقل من الأحمق فحدثه بالمحال، فإن قبل فاعلم أنه أحمق "If you want to distinguish the intelligent from the foolish, present him with something impossible. If he accepts it, then know he is wacky." • طبقات الأولياء (379) This statement is really a call to build intellectual integrity by asking yourself questions like: "Does this make sense?", "What evidence supports this?" And by being comfortable with saying: "This doesn't add up!"

Allahumma ahsanta khalqī fa-ahsin khuluqī. "O Allāh, as You have beautified my (outer) form, so to beautify my (inner) character." The body is what people see; character is what they remember. So the greater perfection is not to become physically impressive, but to become more merciful, patient, humble, and more beautiful in conduct. t.me/mirqat

Al-Hawqala (the dhikr: "lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh") expresses complete reliance on Al-Khāliq over one's own strength and ability. This inward recognition ties to outward easing of hardship. When a person anchors themselves in Allāh alone, trials are lifted in ways unimaginable, commencing with the most basic forms of distress, such as poverty.
