What happened at the Prairieland ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas last July 4th was an armed, coordinated attack on a federal ICE detention center. They ambushed and put a bullet through Alvarado Police Lt. Thomas Gross’ neck while he was doing his job. Through the grace of God, he survived. A jury saw it for exactly what it was — domestic terrorism.

| 7 |  ARSONIST ARRESTED: On June 9, witnesses reported a man intentionally starting a small brush fire in a field behind the Walmart on Camino Arroyo in unincorporated Gilroy. Sheriff’s deputies and Gilroy PD officers responded, but the suspect ran off before they arrived. sccfiredept and Gilroy Fire quickly contained the flames to a 10-by-10-foot area, preventing further spread.
Deputies obtained photos of the suspect and created a flyer to generate leads. Within hours, the man was spotted on nearby valley water property at Camino Arroyo and Gilman Road. Deputies arrested him and later determined he is responsible for setting three fires in the area.
Strong teamwork and swift community reporting helped prevent a dangerous situation from becoming much worse. As fire conditions remain high, please stay alert and report any suspicious activity immediately.

The 350 foot gash, made by a very sharp knife or razors, is actually numerous slashes over a very long 350 foot length. It was purposefully and criminally done, and somebody had to work very hard, probably in the dark of night, to create such a condition. Likewise, the small area at the bottom of the Pool was cut and powerfully lifted off the surface leaving very jagged, uneven edges. The large areas of grass are being replaced. | 13 |  UPDATE: Chico library shooting leaves 2 dead, child injured, police say
Two people are dead, and a child was injured following a shooting at the Butte County Library in Chico, according to police. The Chico Police Department said there were multiple 911 calls around 5:12 p.m. reporting gunshots, and there was screaming heard from within the library. When officers arrived, they entered the building through the front doors while the suspect exited from the back, where a perimeter had already been established, police said. The suspect was then taken into custody. On Tuesday, police identified the person arrested as 18-year-old Bradley Scott Sayer of Chico. He now sits in the Butte County Jail on two murder charges.

| 16 |  ⚠️BREAKING: Officials have issued evacuation orders and road closures as firefighters respond to a wildfire burning on Beaver Mountain, Utah.
According to the Beaver County Sheriff's Office, the fire started near Mile Marker 5 on SR-153. Residents and visitors from Hi-Lo Cabins to Kent Lake have been evacuated.
Summer homes in Merchant Valley and Eagle Point have been placed on notice, but those areas are not currently under an active evacuation order.
SR-153 is closed from Mile Marker 3 to the top of the mountain. Officials are asking the public not to travel into the area.
Anyone currently on the mountain who needs to evacuate is being directed east into Piute County.
Authorities said conditions can change quickly and urged residents to continue monitoring official sources for updates. The public is also being asked to avoid the area so emergency crews can safely respond.
