Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding its international boundary in accordance with international law, the the principle of uti possidetis juris, the Franco–Siamese Convention and Treaty, as well as the existing boundary maps and legal documents. Cambodia further reiterated that it does not recognize any alteration of international boundaries brought about through the use of force.

The Cambodia AOT's observation mission underscored the urgent need for the Cambodia–Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) to promptly resume the survey and demarcation of the land boundary, in accordance with the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) of 27 December 2025, so as to enable displaced civilians to return to their homes safely and with dignity.

The displaced civilians have not yet been able to return to their homes because Thai armed forces continue to occupy certain areas of Cambodian territory through the installation of barbed wire, the placement of shipping containers, and the destruction of civilians' homes.
