SOUTH EAST OROMIA
### 50% Transition Launching Workshop and Woreda Support
A 50% transition launching workshop was held in Ginnir for representatives from all six woredas. Participants included Southern East Cluster Administration and Party, Education Head, woreda administrators, woreda education heads, CDA focal persons and SCI representatives. The workshop briefed participants on cases from woredas and sites where project support had been reduced by 50%. It also raised awareness about how to continue supporting CDA project activities, sustain the results, and carry out the transition and handover step by step.
In addition, joint supervisory support visits were conducted in Sewena, Lega Hida, and Gololcha with woreda education teams and school staff. Through this support, 17 learning centers (LCs), serving more than 850 children, were reached. TLM and stationery materials, HEB items, and hot meal supplies were also transported to the woredas during the visits.
The same events will continue for the rest of the interventions.

Delivered in two rounds, the training reached 175 teachers, 12 school directors, and Babile Woreda Education Sector experts, alongside a selected team of participants who received Training of Trainers (ToT) support to strengthen the sustainability and wider application of the approach.
The training aimed to strengthen teachers’ professional competencies and promote play-based, child-centred, inclusive, and engaging teaching and learning approaches. It forms part of the project's broader commitment to improving the quality of education through:
🔹 Foundational teacher training and continuous professional development (CPD).
🔹 Promoting play-based teaching and learning methodologies.
🔹 Strengthening safe and protective school environments.
🔹 Encouraging meaningful community participation in education.
