Anglo-Saxons had sacred groves called friðgeard. Places of revered nature like giant ancient trees or stones were designated to be this and they were the location of worship Woden, Thunor & Tiw. No violence was allowed in these areas it was to be a total sanctuary. With the coming of Christianity these areas were banned. Now we see that nothing is sacred in America either.

Land ownership law in America is inspired by Anglo-Saxon law. In Colonial Virginia, Thomas Jefferson used the Pre-Norman Saxon concept of allodial title to give absolute ownership of land to an individual independent of any superior lord or king. Before this, it technically belonged to the crown under a system established by Norman conquest in 1066. Thomas Jefferson argued that American Colonists are like the original Anglo-Saxons and should use their systems. Modern corruption and caveats have made this system less tangible where the government has become the crown essentially. Jefferson’s vision for America was the “Yeoman Farmer” a Middle English word meaning young man, a small scale family man that worked his land using primarily family labor for the benefit of his own rather than corporate interest. Self-sufficiency was the goal to prevent a permanent underclass. When the farmer passed it would be passed down to his children. creating a legacy estate. Due to Anglo-Saxon ideals he didn’t have to answer to an aristocrat, factory boss or landlord. These days, these original concepts have been beaten down. Now the American is a slave to the landlord and factory boss.

The Benty Grange Anglo-Saxon Boar Helmet 🐗 and its replica. Boars are a symbol of military might and offered divine protection in battle. Even though the helmet shows a pagan motif as the centerpiece a Christian cross on the nasal showcases the incoming conversion of 7th Century England. In the epic Beowulf, boar-head decorations on helmets are described as magical guardians that "kept watch" over the wearer's mind and life in the heat of combat. A possible association with Ing can’t be ignored either.

Her Sakha Shaman ancestors are saying “What the f are you talking about?” This sounds more like liberal wicca spiritualism than an ancient Siberian practice.

The Anglo-Saxons referred to the harvest period as 'Hærfest', which simply meant "autumn”. This is where the modern English word "harvest" originates. They would mark the Equinox as a time to complete the gathering of crops, slaughter livestock for the winter, and prepare for the hardships of the colder months. Feasts, gatherings, and rituals that honored the Earth's bounty occurred during this general time, giving thanks for the food that would sustain them through the darker days ahead. The Old English word for equinox is “emniht". It is from "efen" and "niht", when night and day are evenly balanced. On September 22nd in North America the "hærfestlice emniht", the Autumn Equinox will occur.

Anytime you see an American Norse Pagan ask them if they are mostly Scandinavian. Chances are they are either English, Celtic, German with a 1% drop of Scandinavian. Not saying Americans with Scandi blood don’t exist but the overwhelming population of America is English. It’s time for Americans to drop the Viking cosplaying and embrace the majority of their ancestry which is English and Celtic. “So what? At least they are pagan” Yeah and you think abandoning your ancestors is ok? Pretending to be something you’re not is ok? The math isn’t mathing the majority of these American neo-pagans should be saying Woden and understanding their actual heritage instead of going with whatever media is popular at the time.
