If you want your heart to be at ease and your mind to be tranquil, then hold firmly to two things:
1. Strive to remain close to your Lord, the One in whose Hand your affairs lie, and who has nurtured you with His blessings, by performing acts of obedience and staying away from what He has forbidden.
2. Reduce your greed for this worldly life, your attachment to it, and your intense desire for it.
For no heart becomes constricted and no worries become overwhelming except through distancing oneself from Allah and becoming attached to the dunya.

| 4 | إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
May Allah have mercy on our sister Nasteha from Toronto and forgive her for her sins, widen her grave, and pour patience upon the hearts of her loved ones. Nasteha was a sister who loved knowledge, loved khayr, was hard working and diligent and was someone distinguished and genuinely special when it came to her love of knowledge, passion and ability. She was someone who when you heard her speak about ‘ilm, inspired you. She often would share benefits from the scholars, translate works, give fruitful insights that benefited those who were given the chance to stumble across her thoughts and musings. I hope to share whatever I have of the above mentioned as a form of sadaqah jariah, and upon us is to make dua for her, give sadaqah on her behalf, and mention her in khayr and the good that is known of her.
نسأل الله تعالى أن يغفر لها ويرحمها وأن يُكرم نُزلها ويُوسّع مدخلها ويجعل قبرها روضةً من رياض الجنة وأن يجمعها بالصالحين في الفردوس الأعلى. | 602 |
| 5 | ودَّ الشيطان أن تهجر القرآن، فلا يزال بك حتى تؤجل للغد ثمَّ الذي يليه.. حتى يموت القلب ويثقل عليه القرآن فيهجره. | 717 |
| 6 | "Glad tidings to the seeker of knowledge, the one who goes forth in knowledge in order to obtain that which benefits him, and that with which he can benefit the slaves of Allah with. If death comes to him, then indeed his reward which he intended for is upon Allah."

| 7 |  +1قال الشيخ صالح العصيمي: استغل حياتك قبل الزواج في العلم والحفظ والمطالعة، فلا أحصي عدد من عرفتهم بالجد والاجتهاد في طلب العلم، بل بذل الغالي والنفيس في سبيل تحصيلهم؛ لكنهم حينما تزوجوا حالياً كأنهم عوام! حتى أن بعض العوام ظاهره صار أفضل من حالهم.
Sh. Salih al-Usaymi said: Make use of your life before marriage in knowledge, memorisation, and reading. I cannot count how many people I’ve known who were serious and hardworking in seeking knowledge; who even gave what was precious and costly to attain it, yet when they got married, they became like ordinary people (al-awam). In fact, some ordinary people outwardly appear better than their state. | 995 |
| 8 | نصيحة قيمة لطالب العلم
قال الخطيب البغدادي رحمه الله:
"وينبغي لمن اتسع وقته، وأصلح الله له جسمه، وحبب إليه الخروج من طبقة الجاهلين، وألقى في قلبه العزيمة على التفقه في الدين، أن يغتنم المبادرة إلى ذلك خوفا من حدوث أمر يقطعه عنه، وتجدد حال يمنعه منه.
ثم قال: "وليستعمل الجد في أمره وإخلاص النية في قصده، والرغبة إلى الله في أن يرزقه علمًا يوفقه فيه، ويعيذه من علم لا ينتفع به."
ثم قال: "وليحذر أن يكون قصده فيما يطلب المجادلة به، والمماراة فيه، وصرف الهمم إليه، وأخذ العوض عليه." انتهى.

| 9 | Permissibility of Weak Adkhar
Sh. Salih al-Usayme said:
It should be noted that one should not be overly strict with people regarding the narration of adhkar, because the basic principle is the general command to remember Allah, this is the basis. The hadith mentioned states that the Prophet ﷺ used to remember Allah at all times.
Therefore, the general approach in matters where people differ over authenticity and weakness is leniency. However, if someone wishes to compile what is authentic or what they consider established, there is no problem with that.
As for being strict in prohibiting matters in which there is disagreement over authenticity and weakness, there is no sound basis for it, because the principle is that remembrance is legislated in a general sense. There are many verses and hadiths praising remembrance in an unrestricted way, especially those practices that people are accustomed to and that have been widely acted upon.
So one should not be harsh with people in this matter, because the scope of remembrance is broad. And if someone considers something authentic or acceptable based on reliable authority, then there is no harm in following them.
مما يُنبَّه إليه أنه لا ينبغي التشديد على الناس في باب الرواية في الأذكار، لأن الأصل هو طلب ذكر الله مطلقًا، وهذا هو الأصل. والحديث الذي تقدَّم أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يذكر الله في كل أحيانه. فالأصل فيما تنازع فيه الناس صحةً وضعفًا هو التسهيل فيه. لكن من أراد أن يُصنِّف الصحيح أو الذي يراه ثابتًا فلا بأس. أما التشديد في المنع فيما تنازع فيه الناس صحةً وضعفًا فلا وجه له، لأن الأصل هو طلب الذكر شرعًا، والأحاديث كثيرة في الآيات، والأحاديث كثيرة في مدح الذكر مطلقًا، ولا سيما ما اعتاده الناس وجَرَى العمل به. فهذا الإنسان لا يُشدَّد عليهم فيه، لأن باب الذكر واسع، وإذا صحَّحه أو حسَّنه معتمد فلا بأس أن يُقتدى به.

| 10 | قال ضمرة بن ربيعة رحمه الله: فرحةُ إبليس إذا فرّق بين المتحابين كفرحته حين أُخرج آدم من الجنة.
Ḍamrah ibn Raiʿah رحمه الله said: Iblis feels as much joy when he separates two people who love one another as he did when Adam was expelled from Paradise.
✉️ Reflection:
How many friends, spouses, colleagues, neighbours, relatives loved each other and cherished each others relationship, only for it to be destroyed due to the words of another person!
▪️Ibn Kathir said in his Tafsir:
يفسد النمام والكذاب في ساعة، ما لا يفسد الساحر في سنة.
A tale-bearer and a liar can corrupt in one hour what a magician cannot corrupt in a year.
▪️And Abu Khattab said:
ومن السحر السعي بالنميمة والإفساد بين الناس.
From among the forms of sorcery (shir) is spreading gossip (namimah) and causing corruption (fasad) between people.
One must fear Allah in the manner they speak about others, and in what they spread and discuss. Not everything must be said, and a person should consider the consequences of their speech; in this life and the hereafter. For one bond to be severed due to your speech, could lead you to be punished in akhirah. | 0 |
| 11 | قال الشيخ عبدالرزاق البدر - حفظه الله - في شرحه للشمائل النبي ﷺ:
"الإستغفار فيه زوال الهموم وكشف الغموم وتيسير الأمور، بل إن خيراته وبركاته على المستغفرين في الدنيا والآخرة لا تعد ولا تحصى." صـ ٢٨٧.
Seeking forgiveness (istighfar) brings about the removal of worries, the lifting of distress, and the facilitation of affairs. Rather, its goodness and blessings for those who seek forgiveness, both in this world and the Hereafter, are beyond counting. | 0 |

متى صلُحت العلاقة مع الله صلُحت علاقتك بنفسك: تقلّ حاجتك لتفسير كل شيء، ويخفّ سعيك لإرضاء الجميع، ويهدأ جوعك للمدح؛ لأنك ذقتَ طعمًا أعلى: طعم أن يراك الله وأنت تحاول. ومن ذاق هذا استحيا أن يبيع قلبه في أسواق البشر. | 0 |
